• For feedback and encouragement...
• Crystallize your thoughts - refine research questions or
clarify methodology
• Test out material prior to bigger conferences or
develop further for academic papers
• Practice talking to non-specialist audiences - unpack
jargon and communicate ideas clearly
• Develop presentation skills
• Complete the presentation requirement for probation
