grammatical differences from the sentences spoken that I could comment on. I could not compare

found in many younger female speakers, which could be in result to the gender effect (Wassink,

finally delved into a subregion that is close to all of us: the Inland Empire. This area in the Pacific
Northwest came into being during the late 19th Century and encompassed much of Eastern
Washington, the Idaho Panhandle and parts of Eastern Oregon. The people of this region were very
proud of their land and some even held more pride for the Inland Empire than their own state. This

story. North by Northwest is a film where the location of the key characters often changes
frequently. It is therefore important to incorporate the technique of 'establishing shots' to ensure the
viewers know what is taking place in the scene. The film North by Northwest uses a wide range of
camera techniques throughout the film in order to create a feeling of suspense and danger. The
establishing shots, close ups, medium shots, and shot–reverse–shots all play an significant role in
conveying suspense to the audience, while also creating continuousness as well as adding a
believable element.
Hitchcock avoids the killing scene cliché by placing Roger Thornhill in the middle of nowhere
rather than a cliché, for example, placing him in a dark street, with only the light from the street
lamp, the killer then comes from behind, emerges from the darkness and kills him. Instead
Hitchcock places Roger Thornhill in the uncommon position to most suspense films, a crop field.
