3. What is it?
• A flat surface used for drawing with a pen or
stylus programmed to work with the tablet. An
image or signature can be created on the tablet
surface, and displayed on a computer monitor or
on the tablet surface.

• Easy to use
• Can be expensive
• Can take time to feel comfortable using

6. What is it?
• A device that captures an individual’s
handwriting and converts it to a digital format.
The digital data can be uploaded onto a
computer.

• Easy to use
• Write anywhere
• Take notes or pencasts
• Price can be expensive

10. What is it?
• A device used to display a small object to a large
audience. For example, small text from a
chapter book can be captured by the document
camera and enlarged for the entire class to see.
The document camera could be called a modern-
day overhead projector.

• Easy to use
• Can adjust focus and/or zoom quickly
• Beneficial tool for all content areas
• Can be distracting to students
• Can be expensive
