The Role
We currently have an opportunity within our business for a graduate or experienced Design
Engineer to work at our Brixworth Site, reporting to the Contracts & Engineering Manager.
You will primarily be responsible for designing metering and dosing systems from order
placement through to invoicing. You will be responsible for ensuring that all design and
draughting activities are in accordance with both designated external and company based
standards covering Metering pumps, dosing pumps system design, pipework etc.
Key duties will include, but not be limited to:
• The Construction of drawings using the departmental “Computer Aided Design”
system
• Providing technical support and engineering expertise to other departments
• Resolving manufacturing difficulties and providing necessary advice to enable
problems to be resolved.
The Candidate
To be successful with this role you will need to have up-to-date knowledge of materials and
process standards as applicable to stainless steels (predominantly). You should be CAD
proficient (preferably AutoCAD ver. 2008 (as minimum) and / or Pro-E Wildfire) or previous
3D CAD package experience.
Desired Skills
• Knowledge of the following standards: ISI/BSI, ASME, API, NACE, NORSOK
• Ability to read and understand P&ID’s
• Ability to produce detailed drawings
• Experience in materials selection & welding/NDT processes
• Experience with machine shop processes, pressure vessel codes and the Pressure
Equipment Directive an advantage
• A minimum of HNC level or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering
