2. Genre mood board
• This genre mood board shows all the conventions out of a horror film, for example: deaths to show
this I have put a photo of the character ‘death’ being a skeleton in a cloche looking scary and dark,
there is always death/s in a horror film, this is what mainly makes it scary, a character can get killed
off at any time. Another example would be the ‘victim’ there is always a victim in horrors, the victim
could be a person who is going to die during the film or could be the person who is being ‘followed’
or ‘haunted’ but the killer/antagonist. I used the word ‘Anti-Christ’ because horrors are about the
devil who is seen as the opposite to Crist because he is so evil. The evil used in horror films are seen
as work from the devil and in films about possession there is always a priest who is trying to end the
bad spirit back to help. I used the word ‘worship’ for similar reasons but also there are people in
some horror films who worship the devil not only that it links into Christianity also because the priest
would worship god and asked him to take away the bad spirits to cure the person of the evil inside
them. ‘innocent’ is another word I used because there is always an innocent that has died, also
innocent can link into the word pure,
