Characters-
The characters that I have used should attract my
audience to my product because the characters I have
used are a similar age to the age group that I want to
attract. The gender of the characters used will also
address my audience because I want my audience to be
both male and females so I have used both males and
females. I have used an anti-stereotype in my product
because the lead antagonist is a female, which is not
usually seen within thrillers. I have used two antagonist
characters, one female and the other male but the female
is the main one. This is because a male is usually
portrayed as the stronger more violent sex. But having a
female, as the antagonist is a big antisterotype as women
are stereotypically not violent and strong like a male. Due
to this factor I wanted to go against the stereotypes
because I think that a strong female lead will attract
women to watch my product as in many other popular
thrillers it will always be a man who is the lead antagonist.
I have used a stereotype as I have used a female lead to
play the role of the protagonist. This is because females
are normally seen as the weaker more vulnerable sex so
using a female in my product. The use of these
stereotypes and anti-stereotypes will attract the correct
audience to my product.
