2. This mid shot portrays the divide in jobs due to gender. The two females are dressed in maid outfits
showing they do a service job which is stereotypical as females are seen as inferior to men and having a
Detrimental effect on them as they can’t really seek for more than a service job. The concerned look on
their face is again making them fit into a females stereotype as they are portrayed as looking concerned
and therefore are more caring. In comparison he one man with non direct address to the camera is dressed
in a smart uniform and is holding a gun at those around him representing him as containing a higher
authority. Alternatively, the fact he’s not looking at the camera suggests he doesn’t care about the situation
making him seem heartless. This highlights him as someone who fits the stereotype of a man: someone
who wants to be the best to maintain a high status. This scene lasted longer because of the fact these are
the main girls family again reinforcing the fact females are more caring portraying her as not in charge.
This low angle shot is significant in highlighting the stereotypical representation of gender as straight
away its prominent the man is more dominant. The man is higher up which is acting as a hierarchy
showing he’s at the top and therefore contains more power. The lady in the background is in a red dress
and again in the background representing her as more like an item as it’s clear she is just there to support
him, this links the fact woman are seen as inferior to men and therefore should support their mans dream
over their own.
