Character Analysis Of Neil Perry In Dead Poet's Society
"Happiness, not in another place but this place...not for another hour, but this hour."
― Walt Whitman. This quote defines the movie the Dead Poets Society, a movie about learning to seize the day, breaking free from conformity, and
being happy with one's own pursuits. In the Dead Poets Society, this is what Neil Perry, one of the main characters, thinks about before he commits
suicide. Sadly Neil determines that his life in military school wouldn't have the happiness to be worth living. Neil's death is directly caused by the
pressure from his tyrannical father. His father makes his life miserable by making him quit the newspaper club, quit the school play, and forcing him to
go to military school. From the very beginning of the movie, Neil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is yet another one of his father's constant actions to live Neil's life for him. This action takes Neil's only friends and freedom, if limited, away
from him. Military school is a place where Neil wouldn't be able to freely think, act, or do any of his passions. Consequently, Neil decides that he
can't be made to attend military school so he takes his own life instead. The person who enrolls Neil into military school is his father so therefore
he is most responsible for his death. With the romantic ideas that Neil learns from Mr.Keating, Neil understands the meaning of "carpe diem". He
learns to escape the conformist crowd and does what makes him happy. In the way of Neil's father is his totalitarian father who lives through Neil
like a puppet master to a puppet. However Mr.Perry's vision of happiness and Neil's vision of happiness are so discrepant that Neil kills himself.
In conclusion, the sole cause of Neil's death is Neil's father. Mr.Perry's unrelenting pressure to have his son go to an Ivy League school and become
a doctor, banker or whatever he deems as successful ultimately kills Neil. Because Neil is a free thinker, he cannot conform to his father's strict
formula for "success" and instead pursues acting. The differences of opinion between Neil and his father cause Neil to commit suicide. From watching
the Dead Poets Society one can truly understand the dangers of not being able to live one's true

Covered with Dust: Truman Capote Essay
In an excerpt from "In Cold Blood", Truman Capote writes as an outside male voice irrelevant to the story, but has either visited or lived in the town
of Holcomb. In this excerpt Capote utilized rhetoric to no only describe the town but also to characterize it in order to set a complete scene for the rest
of the novel. Capote does this by adapting and forming diction, imagery, personification, similes, anaphora, metaphors, asyndeton, and alliteration to
fully develop Holcomb not only as a town, but as a town that enjoys its isolation. Capote begins the novel with a complete description of not only the
town as a whole, but also the people and landmark buildings, which allows Capote to characterize the town completely. In the first line of ... Show more

Constituting the idea of isolation and enjoyment of being "out there", Capote writes, "The local accent is barbed with a prairie twang, a ranch–hand
nasalness". He uses diction to create a hostile country tone to the speech and dialect of the people. The word "barbed" can be reckoned to show
and simulate the want of people staying out, like when barbed wire is hung on fences of secure buildings, or the want to keep people in, like in
jails. The term "twang" is used to construct the image of country folk, with farms and all knowing one another's names. Capote uses diction in an
odd way in the seventh line of the excerpt, "the land is flat, and the views are awesomely extensive". The use of the word "awesomely" contradicts
the tone of a country, calm, unobtrusive environment. In the last line of the first paragraph, Capote uses diction and a simile to show not only the
setting, but the disconnect of Holcomb to the outside world. "Horses, herds of cattle, a white cluster of grain elevators rising as gracefully as Greek
temples", the discussion of the plethora of animals in the area just provides more concrete evidence that the village can be considered a farm/ rural
area. When Capote compares the "white cluster of grain elevators rising" to Greek temples, its to improve the audiences understanding of how the
simplest structures, are "holy" and marvelous to them. It shows their lack of worldly experience and knowledge. Continuing on to the next paragraph

How Did Tom And Neil Perry Influence The Characters In...
In the movie Dead poet society there are many characters that influence the direction of the story. Two characters that had a dramatic influence on each
other and the story are Tom Anderson and Neil Perry. The young men parents sent them to the prestigious Welton Academy with the hopes that they
would succeed. Tom and Neil were both under pressures that would build up over time and would need to be dealt with. The influences and burden of
performance that surrounded both Neil and Todd in turn affected the way they interacted and influenced each other throughout the story. Todd
Anderson was a quiet and shy teenage boy, who was under pressure to perform. Todd's parents sent him to Welton academy, an all boy boarding
school. At this school Tod encountered a group of young boys that would change his life forever. Todd started school at Welton with the weight of his

Perry forbade both in and effort to dissuade Neil. Neil's parents were trying to shape Neil into the doctor they wanted him to be. As Neil tried to
cope with much pressure and molding from his parents he in turn tried to take charge of the lives around him. He Became a leader of sorts, being the
first to ask about the dead poets society and the first to say "oh captain" when referring to the Welton Academy English teacher Mr. Keating. Neil was

Truman Capote's Meaning Of Truman Pary And The Duality Of...
Although Truman Capote recognizes the duality of Perry, he uses language complexities to demonize Dick; therefore he argues people with mental
health issues deserve help while those who choose their behaviors deserve harsher punishments.
Amplification embellishes the artwork that Capote illustrates. In the beginning, he paints the picture of Perry as naive and gentle, which contrasts with
Dick who was heartless and arrogant. Later, a picture of Dick's past as a teenager is elaborated: "'An outstanding athlete– always on the first team at
school. Basketball! Baseball! Football! Dick was always the star player. A pretty good student, too, with A marks in several subjects... After he
graduated from high school– June, 1949– he wanted to go on to college" (Capote 166). The amplification of Dick's high school career was above
average and used to describe his once successful life. This is a crucial passage to admire because Dick hadn't realized just how fortunate he was as an
adolescent and as he grew older he became dark and closed off– as if a switch flipped inside of him. Creating contrast to his emotions as the murder
was leading up. The behavior switch seemed almost inhuman– as a straight 'A' jock– turned into a cold blooded murderer. Dishonorable behaviors can
sometimes be the result of a mental illness, and if society recognized this illness, help could have been provided. Although, Dick, who decided to follow
through with awful intentions without any remorse, deserves the

Dead Poets Society and the Suicide of Neil Perry Essay
Dead Poets Society and the Suicide of Neil Perry "Dead Poets Society" deals with the angst of growing up in a public boys' school, with the typical
themes of pressure to achieve academically and the themes of rebellion featuring heavily. Several young boys' worlds are changed forever when Mr.
Keating (Robin Williams) arrives at their school. The director of the 1989 film, Peter Weir, utilises a variety of techniques to subconsciously signal to
the viewer that all is not well in the Perry household. Through these techniques, it becomes evident that Neil is unhappy with life. This triggers the
assumption from the viewer that he will commit... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mrs. Perry resides in the background where she remains out of focus for the majority of the scene. She is positioned between Neil and his father. This
suggests that she is unimportant within the situation and possibly in the family. It could also suggest that her view on Neil's withdrawal from Helton
School lies between her family's opinions. This is possible as she later seems to empathise with Neil. However, it is more plausible that Neil's mother is
inconsequential, which is reflected both through her being ostracized from the discussion, and also that this reflects the archaic nature of the household.
Neil's suppression, and the fact that his Father has expressed his wish for Neil to attend Military School, leads to an insurgent outburst in which Neil
confronts his Father. This follows his Father's speech in which Mr. Perry uses a variety of pronouns to express the disparity between Neil and his
father's lives. When Neil is told that he has opportunities his father never had, I think this invokes guilt within Neil. The combination of these factors
leads to Neil's withdrawal into his chair, into the foetal position. I think this represents the inauguration of Neil's contemplation of suicide. At the end of
the scene, Neil's mother kneels down behind him and smiles softly. I think this is suggesting to the viewer that his

Taking a Look at Truman Capote
CAPOTE By all the accounts, Truman Capote was a mysterious man, being unhappy and self–absorbed even in some parties he over drink himself to
death. In his masterpiece writing "In Cold Blood" he invented a new sort of writing, "the non–fiction" novel which was criticized on the basis of his
emotional manipulation of a condemned murderer with whom he seems to fall in love. Capote is actually the dramatization of his famous writing "In
Cold Blood" which covers the territory that the movie is based on the subject of Truman Capote's attempt to somehow or other create the genre of
non–fictional fiction. Capote illustrates a portrait of the interest of author in the two–cold blooded killers especially in the character of Perry Smith.
(Brevet, 2009) By reading the masterpiece and then watching the movie, audience can easily judge that Capote definitely manipulated Smith by
bounding his actions and making him realized compelled to himself. For several times, Capote went out of his ways in order to save Smith's life.
First it happened when Smith was in prison and Capote visited him and then tried his best to bring him back to life. Then he paid for a lawyer I order
to offer appeal to Smith and Hickok's death sentence. Capote's contribution was major in contrast so ultimately Smith felt obligated to repay him in
some honorable way. Not only Capote was interested in Smith but Smith also admired him throughout the story and even he did not want to disappoint
him in any way. Just to

Similarities Between Jane And Neil Perry
Thematic Statement: Individuals entrapped within social constructs, often use self expression as an escape from the immense pressure of being unable
to live up to societal expectations, but are unable to mold their perceived image within society and ultimately feel inclined to take drastic measures in
retaliation. In both narratives, Jane and Neil Perry are oppressed by patriarchal figures that continuously force their own expectations for the supposed
wellbeing of each individual, eventually resulting in the deteriorating sanity of both characters. In "The Yellow Wallpaper," Jane is frequently
oppressed by her husband, John, whom despite good intentions, drives Jane to feel guilt over her predisposed uncontrollable illness. When Jane

There is nothing so dangerous, so fascinating, to a temperament like yours. It is a false and foolish fancy. Can you not trust me as a physician
when I tell you so?" (Gilman). Similarly, Mr. Perry's ambition stifles the passions of his son, by placing the possibility of a good life over his
wellbeing. After Mr. Perry drags Neil from the play, he explains that Neil is going to be withdrawn from Welton, sent to Braden Military School, and
will eventually go to Harvard to be a doctor, therefore imprisoning him for ten years. Both stories conclude with the loss of reason in the protagonists as
a result of the repression of their thoughts or desires. For instance, John's denial, as a result of the obliviousness of the Victorian Era to mental illness,
towards Jane's condition torments her on the notion that she cannot adeptly complete her civic duties as a wife or mother. John presumes the role of
the villainous patriarchal figure, albeit unintentional, when he confines Jane to the house and scrutiny of various individuals thus trapping her within
the domestic sphere.

Loss of Innocence in Truman Capote's In Cold Blood Essay
"All things truly wicked start from an innocence," states Ernest Hemingway on his view of innocence. Innocence, what every youth possesses, is more
accurately described as a state of unknowing but not ignorance– which connotation suggests a blissfully positive view of the world. Most youth are
protected from the harsh realities of the adult world. Therefore they are able to maintain their state of innocence. While innocence normally wanes over
time, sometimes innocence can be abruptly taken away. Some of the characters in Truman CapotesIn Cold Blood lost their innocence due to the
traumatic events they experienced in childhood and adulthood while some had none to begin with.
Innocence can be stolen but the desire to return to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Parents are supposed to shelter their children from the fraudulent outside world and keep their purity intact. Perry Smith, murderer of the Clutter
family, had an upbringing that "was marked by brutality and lack of concern on the part of both parents." Due to his childhood he "seems to have
grown up without direction, and without ever having absorbed any fixed sense of moral values." He felt no regret for murdering the family, only
that he felt sorry that they were the ones " that ... had to pay for it." While Dick considered Perry as innocent, "he had never been with a woman", he
believed Perry was a "natural born killer" who "attaches little real value to human life". Perry's tragic upbringing had turned him into a cold–blooded
killer unaware of the beauty of innocence, which he so easily stole from the Clutter family the moment he killed them. Innocent people cannot be
protected from the individual whose innocence is not present.
If innocence is not present in an individual it cannot be protected. An individual of this kind makes choices that effect how corrupt they can become.
Dick Hickock had a loving family, who supported and loved him as he grew up. Even though he was in a nurturing environment that protected him
from the corrupt society around him, he still became a criminal. This shows that innocence, if not present in the first place, cannot be salvaged. After
passing "hot checks" he was put in jail where his jealousy of

What Does Shotgun Mean By Christina Aguilera
Christina Aguilera can hit all crazy high notes in the world. However, it is not everyday that she showcases how vulnerable and sincere she can be
in her songs. With "Shotgun," another track off her stint in Nashville, Aguilera delivers a heartfelt country performance that shows there is eternity
in terms of love. She left all vocal acrobatics aside, and creatively rendered a straightforward love song filled with raw emotions and pure intentions.
If "The Real Thing" sounds good enough, then prepare to be blown away even more with "Shotgun." It is really fortunate that Aguilera did not
abandon the country genre after her "Just A Fool" collaboration with Blake Shelton failed to make an impact. Thought it is appropriate to say that the
song has all the elements of a hit single, "Just A Fool" did not go anywhere presumably because of the lack of proper exposure. On the contrary,
"Shotgun" started off strong just because it follows the momentum Aguilera has created since the beginning of 2015. If geared with proper marketing
and ample live performances, "Shotgun" alongside "The Real Thing" could signal the start of Aguilera's return to musical influence to show younger
singers how it is done.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Neil, on the other hand, wanted to know who he was. He was always obedient to his father's wishes, but he wanted to know more about himself. Acting
was something he could do for himself – something that he enjoyed and allowed him to explore what he was able to accomplish. On the other hand,
it was also a means of escaping his current reality by being someone else for a few hours. Keating suggested Neil talk to his father about this
passion, but Neil second guessed his father's actions by arguing that his father would never understand. He never gave his father the benefit of the
doubt and tried to explain. Keating even went so far as to tell Neil that even if his father didn't see things his way, he'd soon be out of school and
could do what he wished then. Neil wouldn't listen to this advice, and later when Keating asked if Neil had spoken to his father, Neil said he did
consent. (I think Keating knew he was lying but he chose not to pursue the matter because at that point, Neil had to take responsibility for his own
actions.) Yes, Mr. Perry was hard on Neil, but that was probably out of concern. He was paying a lot of money to attend a great school to prepare him
for an ivy league school, and Neil, out of nowhere, decides he doesn't want to go to

Who Is Neil Perry
Dead Poet's Society, a film released in 1989, tells the story of a group of teenage boys going to an extremely prestigious, all–male, preparatory high
school called Wellton. Although the boys hate the school, they know that a diploma will get them all they want in life. The boys are all extremely
intelligent, but are timid to stray from tradition and think on their own, for fear of disappointment from their teachers and family. The film begins in
the first week of school when the clique meets. The boys all come from a different background but have one thing in common. They are incredibly
brainy, determined, and hate Wellton. Although the boys detest the school, Welton teaches them much more than they anticipated. They learn life

to have courage, bravery, to do what they love, and stand up when others are trying desperately to hold them down. Although Mr. Keating may seem
somewhat odd in the eyes of some and was unable to reach all of his students, he hasn't only touched the hearts of his students but also the hearts of the
viewer. Neil, Todd, Charlie, and their fellow classmates were thrown on the road of self–discovery with none other than Mr. Keating at the wheel. They

The Dead Poets Society By Neil Perry
As I watched "The Dead Poets Society" I noticed that most of the adults, other than Mr.Keating, did not believe any of the young men should be
able to think freely. They believed that because they were young their input meant nothing, and they did not know what was good for them. Not
only was Mr. Keating an independent thinker, but Neil Perry also became an independent thinker after attending a couple of Mr. Keating's classes
and discovering a group his teacher had formed as a schoolboy himself. In "The Dead Poets Society" many are faced with the challenge of being an
independent thinker in an academy where conformity is the goal. As he began his first lecture, it started off like any other lecture a teacher would. He
had a student read aloud from the section they were going to be learning about. The section treated poetry as a science graphing the quality of a poem,
he had them tare this section out saying it is not what poetry is. He would not just copy what the book said, he taught them in non–conventional ways.
As we can gather also from the scene where they are in the courtyard and he has them all walk individually showing that you do not have to conform
and all march the same. From this, Mr. Keating is rewarded by thinking outside of the box by teaching the younger generation that they do not have to
conform to what adults say, just because they are adults. For this he is also punished, the blame of Neil's tragic death is pushed onto Mr.Keating and
not the adults

What Is The Tone Of In Cold Blood
Most people would consider a novel written to be both, objective and sympathetic, nearly impossible. However, Capote could prove them wrong. He
wrote In Cold Blood using a tone that successfully portrays both of these attitudes. He writes in an objective way that is more explanatory rather than
judgmental, therefore unbiased. But he also looks deeper into the lives of the characters and their family histories, making the reader feel sympathy for
them throughout the story.
Capote is able to show a more sympathetic side by looking into the lives of the Clutter family, giving background knowledge to the reader. Sympathy
is felt when you realize that they were killed for an unjustifiable reason and obviously did not deserve to die. Technically,

Theme Of Religion In Cold Blood
Religion Never Sacrificed to Darkness of Circumstances In Cold Blood by Truman Capote follows the story of two men who ruthlessly murdered a
family of four, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas. The nonfiction novel follows the murderers closely and gives insight into their thoughts and
actions – some of which confuse and disturb the general populace. The inclusion of details such as the "souls in sleeping Holcomb" (Capote 5) whose
innocence was murdered along with the Clutter family the night of the silent shotgun blasts, the yellow parrot described in Perry Smith's dreams, the
argument held over penalties in the courtroom, and the final words Dick Hickock heard before his death "on rope for bloody crime" (Capote 337),
emphasize the theme that religion is firmly planted in all actions – even those which seem unfathomable to most of society. In the beginning of the
novel, Capote describes the community of Holcomb as a "peaceful congregation of neighbors and old friends" (Capote 88). Everyone was involved in
4–H with the Clutters, went to school with Nancy and Kenyon, or attended church with the family every Sunday. However, their attendance at the
local Methodist church each week did not prevent the feeling of a cold barrel of a shotgun pressed against each their heads just before their deaths.
All their lifestyle did was confuse the authorities, who thought "'Of all the people in all the world, the Clutters were the least likely to be murdered'"
(Capote 85). This imposes

In Cold Blood Rhetorical Devices
Truman Capote's In Cold Blood is a masterfully crafted book, often acclaimed for it's unique style. Accordingly, readers mustn't look very far before
they find a plethora of rhetoric. Capote is often credited with having created the original crime novel, and he didn't get this distinction by writing like
everyone else. He used his interesting writing style to make his readers feel as though they were actually in the book, but not just as an onlooker. He
allowed them to get inside the character's heads and really know them, glimpsing flash backs into the character's pasts, while also foreshadowing
events to come. He wrote with a very intricate style, but also one that ended up being incredibly effective.
Capote was truly an artist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Often this foreshadowing was very subtle and easily overlooked if the reader wasn't careful. For example, at the very bottom of page 108 and onto
the top of page 109, Capote shares one of Dick's thoughts regarding Perry's anger in which he says, "The time had been when Dick had thought he
could control, could regulate the temperature of these sudden cold fevers that burned and chilled his friend. He had been mistaken, and in the
aftermath of that discovery, had grown very unsure of Perry..." At first glance this quote seems foreboding, but unless the reader has finished the
book, they may not notice the foreshadowing. At the end of the book it is reveled that Perry single handedly killed the entire Clutter family, which is
most likely the time when Dick made "the discovery" that there might be something wrong with Perry. Capote hid his foreshadowing very well, so
that it is often only found once the event it foreshadowed had passed. However, this isn't to say that it was ineffective. His foreshadowing served it's
exact purpose, as readers who would notice the subtle hints would be drawn in, curious to see what they were

Neil Perry Dead Poets Society
Plato, a well–known philosopher and founder of the Academy in Athens, argues that parents need to, "bequeath to their children not riches, but the
spirit of reverence." Parents should give their children more than what the eye can see. Children rely on their parents to teach them moral lessons and to
support who they choose to be. In the film, Dead Poets Society, written by Tom Schulman and directed by Peter Weir, the parents of characters Neil
Perry and Todd Anderson maintain an unhealthy relationship with their children. They believe that their plan for their children will bring success and

Analysis Of Grey 's Anatomy And Anatomy
Over the course of years Medical TV shows give excitement to viewers. Recently, Grey's Anatomy has grown to be a very popular show, but has been
numerously compared to Scrubs. When more attention is called to this, similarities are present. For example, the storytelling of each show, the
platforms, and the classification of characters. There are even claims that lead to believe Grey's Anatomy copied Scrubs.
In Grey's Anatomy, it starts off with Meredith Gray being the main character and narrating throughout most of the episodes. She is an intern at a new
hospital along with 4 others who will be alongside of her. On the first day of being an intern doctor they are assigned to a resident in which that
resident is in charge of showing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When looking at the platforms of the shows, it is noticeable that in Grey's Anatomy the main character is a woman who narrates the show and is best
friends with another intern woman. On Scrubs J.D. also known as John Dorian is the narrator, but he is a man and is best friends with a male intern.
The interns in Grey's Anatomy are more competitive and confident in performing daily procedures, but in Scrubs the interns try to be competitive and
are not very confident in hard situations. Another difference is that In Grey's Anatomy the scenes are centered around drama and romance that there is
going on around the hospital, with some humor and on Scrubs it is more about jokes and sometimes drama. And of course, the nurses are viewed
differently in both shows, In Grey's Anatomy the nurses are not treated well and are ranked lower than the doctors. In Scrubs the nurses are a big help
and include funny aspects of them being better than the intern doctors. It is obvious that there are no two shows that are exactly the same, but these are
some aspects that make them somewhat different but parallel.
Getting an overview of the 2 shows can be wide opening for there are characters in Grey's Anatomy that resemble some from Scrubs. When classifying
the characters in both shows, many similarities are present.
Taking a closer look at Dr. Cox from Scrubs and Dr. Karev from Grey's Anatomy it is noticeable that in the hospital both characters seem to

Cold Blood By Truman Capote
Throughout their childhood and later adult life Dick and Perry are exposed to experiences which contribute to their lawlessness in the book In Cold
Blood by Truman Capote. Recurring trends throughout each man's lives such as their involvements in traumatic car accidents and higher education
contribute to their unstable mental being, which eventually leads to the murders of the Clutter family. In Cold Blood argues that Dick and Perry's
backgrounds make their criminality inevitable.
Both Perry and Dick committed crimes that eventually left them in prison. Perry was sent to jail after hitchhiking one day when the man who picked
him up robbed a bank while still in the company of Perry. Then Perry broke out of jail and was sent to prison. Dick was first sent to prison when he
began writing bad checks to cover his living expenses. In this imprisonment Dick meets Perry. Even though the severity of their crimes are different and
they had separate background experiences, they both end up in prison at the same time and realize that their strengths compliment each others
weaknesses, making the crime virtually inevitable.
Dick Hickock and Perry Smith grew up in different family situations, yet their childhoods were equally traumatic. Perry's home life was far from
normal. As a child his father was horrible to his mother, a raging alcoholic, so undoubtedly his home life situation was not ideal. This along with his
parents' divorce set the tone for his entire childhood. His mother gained

Katy Perry's Cultural Appropriation Of Geishas
Perry's appropriator behavior revealed her ignorance. And because of this, her "Geisha–style" performance has deepened people's misunderstanding to
the geishas. Katy Perry neglected the origin meaning of geishas and alter the costumes unadvisedly, which expanded people's mix of Chinese and
Japanese culture. Furthermore, Katy Perry's behavior misleads people. Most of the Westerns consider geishas as prostitutes because of the cultural
difference. A typical example can be seen in the conversation between O'Reilly and Goldberg when they discussed Katy Perry's appropriation.
Goldberg said, "a geisha is a woman who was subservient to men. A geisha tries to please men and make them happy". However, it is not true. As Julia

In fact, the charges of cultural appropriation are being hurled at every corner on the Unite. States: the art museum, the restaurant, the movie theater,
the novel and, especially, the college campus. (Bari). I have met some appreciation in my life. As Ellison's opinion, "the majority of cultural
appropriation occurs during Halloween, when people think it's acceptable to don offensive dress. Many put on blackface, or brownface, as part of
their costumes. Others simply come up with costumes meant to insult and demean another ethnicity or culture". During the last Halloween, I met
some white people who wore in ninja outfits in college during the Halloween. However, the outfits they wore actually did not show the real meaning
of ninja. They merely cosplayed the characters of a Japanese animation named NARUTO. The real ninja is masked, and wear in black and looks
low–key. Nonetheless, the costumes they wore in were more colorful and various. Those people do not really understand the histories of ninja, the
reason why they wore in ninja outfits was simply, they thought it was interesting. Their behavior is similar to what Katy Perry has did. They altered
others' cognition to ninja as well. They may not tend to do it, but it was no denying that they appropriated from Japanese culture. Nowadays the
phenomenon is common in Unite. States. However, nothing could be the excuse of neglecting other cultures and adopting them in an insensible
manner. It is important to note that appreciation involves respect and value. It's okay to find things beautiful. It's better to appreciate it and learn more
about it. Especially before you put an article of clothing on. Understanding the cultures sufficiently and avoiding appropriation are imperative before
applying it. Otherwise, one's ignorance would be revealed and shows rudeness. In a word, the situation of cultural appropriation should be

Analysis Of The Movie ' Madea ' Essay
However, it took her awhile to regain faith and trust, for she was a victim of childhood sexual abuse. This theme is a continuing pattern in films by
Tyler Perry. The critics say, "We find that these films offer largely negative portrayals of middle

Blacks in film, even while creating new ones." One of the main characters in his films is Madea played by Tyler Perry himself. Madea is a big, strong,
old black woman who has trouble obeying the law but ultimately serves her community by giving guidance to those in distress. In an article, How Do
You Solve a Problem Like Madea? It discusses the concerns of her character and how it reflects back to the stereotypical modern–day black American.
Tyler Perry claims that the character Madea and his stories mirror the struggle and pain he has been through. He states, "These characters are
simply tools to make people laugh, and says, "And I know for a fact that they have helped, inspired, and encouraged millions of people." Tyler
Perry's movies are not just for laughter but carry a message as well. Some critics are against Perry's approach to comedy, however, this article notes
Nelson George who claims "Comedy and stereotypes go hand in hand." Many believe Perry down plays the black middle class society. Todd Boyd,
cited in this article says, "All of his productions demonize educated, successful African–Americans." Similar to Boyd, George says, "There's nothing

Analysis Of ' I Would Like About Tyler Perry Whose Career...
In this final chapter, I would like to begin by talking about Tyler Perry whose career has been guided by his faith. He was named the highest paid
man in entertainment by Forbes in 2011 having earned US$130 million between May 2010 and 2011. This is a long way from the boy who grew up
being physically abused by his father and sexually abused by a woman in his neighborhood at the age of only 10. By contrast to his father's beatings,
Perry's mother took him to church where he found a safe haven and contentment. Although he did not finish high school he was inspired to write by
seeing someone on the Oprah Winfrey Show talking about the therapeutic effect that writing gives a person. He started writing a series of letters to
himself which would eventually become the basis for the musical I Know I've Been Changed which was successfully performed in 1998. Using
comedy to tell the story, the play focused on how the two adult protagonists overcame the horrors of their lives by their profound belief in God.
However, before this success Perry was in Atlanta, Georgia and had used up all of his savings and became homeless. For a period of six years in the
1990's, "he was living in his car, or as he told Oprah, living in a pay–by–the–week hotel that was full of crackheads." The play was first performed in
1990 and was based in Christian values with the themes of forgiveness, dignity and self–esteem being very prominent as well as addressing the critical

Cold Blood By Truman Capote, A Cold Blooded Killer
Without the basic necessities such as water and sunlight, a flower will not bloom into a beautiful, colorful creation, but rather wilt into a brown,
unrecognizable mess. Just like a flower needs water and sunlight to thrive, a child requires support from a guardian to prosper in every aspect. A
secure support system t in a child's life creates healthy relationships as well as providing the child with a positive perspective and mindset. However in
the lives of Perry Smith, a cold blooded killer in the novel In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, child soldiers, and the children of the street, support from
the family is seldom displayed. The absence of support leads these persons to lives filled with hostility and violence; lives of adversity. This goes to
show, the absence of support from a parent figure or family unit has negative impacts on a child 's lifestyle.
Throughout numerous areas around the globe, the reality of children living on the street has become a significant issue. This problem is mainly due
to the family's inability to provide adequate care and resources for their child, "Children end up on the streets for a number of reasons, many of
which are rooted in family instability and poverty," (The Children of the Street). Instead of worrying about what games to play or who to play with,

feel as if people feel as if there is something wrong with them, when in all reality, they have the same amount of beauty as anyone else, inside and
out. I also think that the two artists are trying to say that everyone has insecurities, and despite our insecurities we are all still beautiful. I also think the
message they are trying to convey is that no matter what society says, never be afraid to be you. My text evidence is in Christina Aguilera's

A Study of the Trans–Texas Corridor and How it Affects Texans
Everything is bigger in Texas. That's what a lot of Texans what Americans and people around the world to know– you don't mess with Texas. In the
1950's, when President Eisenhower created the first Interstate plan for the country and implemented new roads in almost every single state, it was the
largest engineering feat in the modern world. Now, almost half a century later, GovernorRick Perry is set to break that record, with the costliest, largest,

Laredo contains 40% of the United States land–ship import traffic. Also, any traveler on the I–35 corridor in Texas runs into hundreds of
eighteen–wheelers, increasing drivers awareness and causing disarray for drivers who are trying to see the road in front of them. Perry's answer is to
shift the traffic away from metropolitan areas. If truck drivers can bypass San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas, the time to their destination would probably
save them an entire day in travel. Freight rail services could veer away from San Antonio's railroad yard, an institution bustling with activity in the wee
hours of the morning. Also, commuter rail can solve environmental problems and help families keep in touch anywhere in the state without the
over–burdening costs of driving (Perry). Perry's plan begins with the setup itself: Six, twelve–foot vehicle passenger lanes in which the vehicle can
travel at 80 miles per hour; Four, thirteen foot truck lanes; Two tracks for each of the following railroad establishments– high speed rail, commuter
rail, and freight rail. No transportation facility exists like this in the modern world. All of these integrations to modern society are completely bundled
into one, and their concept is all the same – relieve traffic in urban centers and create a safe and enjoyable experience through the Texas countryside

  • 2. Character Analysis Of Neil Perry In Dead Poet's Society "Happiness, not in another place but this place...not for another hour, but this hour." ― Walt Whitman. This quote defines the movie the Dead Poets Society, a movie about learning to seize the day, breaking free from conformity, and being happy with one's own pursuits. In the Dead Poets Society, this is what Neil Perry, one of the main characters, thinks about before he commits suicide. Sadly Neil determines that his life in military school wouldn't have the happiness to be worth living. Neil's death is directly caused by the pressure from his tyrannical father. His father makes his life miserable by making him quit the newspaper club, quit the school play, and forcing him to go to military school. From the very beginning of the movie, Neil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is yet another one of his father's constant actions to live Neil's life for him. This action takes Neil's only friends and freedom, if limited, away from him. Military school is a place where Neil wouldn't be able to freely think, act, or do any of his passions. Consequently, Neil decides that he can't be made to attend military school so he takes his own life instead. The person who enrolls Neil into military school is his father so therefore he is most responsible for his death. With the romantic ideas that Neil learns from Mr.Keating, Neil understands the meaning of "carpe diem". He learns to escape the conformist crowd and does what makes him happy. In the way of Neil's father is his totalitarian father who lives through Neil like a puppet master to a puppet. However Mr.Perry's vision of happiness and Neil's vision of happiness are so discrepant that Neil kills himself. In conclusion, the sole cause of Neil's death is Neil's father. Mr.Perry's unrelenting pressure to have his son go to an Ivy League school and become a doctor, banker or whatever he deems as successful ultimately kills Neil. Because Neil is a free thinker, he cannot conform to his father's strict formula for "success" and instead pursues acting. The differences of opinion between Neil and his father cause Neil to commit suicide. From watching the Dead Poets Society one can truly understand the dangers of not being able to live one's true ... • 3. Covered with Dust: Truman Capote Essay In an excerpt from "In Cold Blood", Truman Capote writes as an outside male voice irrelevant to the story, but has either visited or lived in the town of Holcomb. In this excerpt Capote utilized rhetoric to no only describe the town but also to characterize it in order to set a complete scene for the rest of the novel. Capote does this by adapting and forming diction, imagery, personification, similes, anaphora, metaphors, asyndeton, and alliteration to fully develop Holcomb not only as a town, but as a town that enjoys its isolation. Capote begins the novel with a complete description of not only the town as a whole, but also the people and landmark buildings, which allows Capote to characterize the town completely. In the first line of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Constituting the idea of isolation and enjoyment of being "out there", Capote writes, "The local accent is barbed with a prairie twang, a ranch–hand nasalness". He uses diction to create a hostile country tone to the speech and dialect of the people. The word "barbed" can be reckoned to show and simulate the want of people staying out, like when barbed wire is hung on fences of secure buildings, or the want to keep people in, like in jails. The term "twang" is used to construct the image of country folk, with farms and all knowing one another's names. Capote uses diction in an odd way in the seventh line of the excerpt, "the land is flat, and the views are awesomely extensive". The use of the word "awesomely" contradicts the tone of a country, calm, unobtrusive environment. In the last line of the first paragraph, Capote uses diction and a simile to show not only the setting, but the disconnect of Holcomb to the outside world. "Horses, herds of cattle, a white cluster of grain elevators rising as gracefully as Greek temples", the discussion of the plethora of animals in the area just provides more concrete evidence that the village can be considered a farm/ rural area. When Capote compares the "white cluster of grain elevators rising" to Greek temples, its to improve the audiences understanding of how the simplest structures, are "holy" and marvelous to them. It shows their lack of worldly experience and knowledge. Continuing on to the next paragraph ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Truman Capote's Meaning Of Truman Pary And The Duality Of... Although Truman Capote recognizes the duality of Perry, he uses language complexities to demonize Dick; therefore he argues people with mental health issues deserve help while those who choose their behaviors deserve harsher punishments. Amplification embellishes the artwork that Capote illustrates. In the beginning, he paints the picture of Perry as naive and gentle, which contrasts with Dick who was heartless and arrogant. Later, a picture of Dick's past as a teenager is elaborated: "'An outstanding athlete– always on the first team at school. Basketball! Baseball! Football! Dick was always the star player. A pretty good student, too, with A marks in several subjects... After he graduated from high school– June, 1949– he wanted to go on to college" (Capote 166). The amplification of Dick's high school career was above average and used to describe his once successful life. This is a crucial passage to admire because Dick hadn't realized just how fortunate he was as an adolescent and as he grew older he became dark and closed off– as if a switch flipped inside of him. Creating contrast to his emotions as the murder was leading up. The behavior switch seemed almost inhuman– as a straight 'A' jock– turned into a cold blooded murderer. Dishonorable behaviors can sometimes be the result of a mental illness, and if society recognized this illness, help could have been provided. Although, Dick, who decided to follow through with awful intentions without any remorse, deserves the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Dead Poets Society and the Suicide of Neil Perry Essay Dead Poets Society and the Suicide of Neil Perry "Dead Poets Society" deals with the angst of growing up in a public boys' school, with the typical themes of pressure to achieve academically and the themes of rebellion featuring heavily. Several young boys' worlds are changed forever when Mr. Keating (Robin Williams) arrives at their school. The director of the 1989 film, Peter Weir, utilises a variety of techniques to subconsciously signal to the viewer that all is not well in the Perry household. Through these techniques, it becomes evident that Neil is unhappy with life. This triggers the assumption from the viewer that he will commit... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mrs. Perry resides in the background where she remains out of focus for the majority of the scene. She is positioned between Neil and his father. This suggests that she is unimportant within the situation and possibly in the family. It could also suggest that her view on Neil's withdrawal from Helton School lies between her family's opinions. This is possible as she later seems to empathise with Neil. However, it is more plausible that Neil's mother is inconsequential, which is reflected both through her being ostracized from the discussion, and also that this reflects the archaic nature of the household. Neil's suppression, and the fact that his Father has expressed his wish for Neil to attend Military School, leads to an insurgent outburst in which Neil confronts his Father. This follows his Father's speech in which Mr. Perry uses a variety of pronouns to express the disparity between Neil and his father's lives. When Neil is told that he has opportunities his father never had, I think this invokes guilt within Neil. The combination of these factors leads to Neil's withdrawal into his chair, into the foetal position. I think this represents the inauguration of Neil's contemplation of suicide. At the end of the scene, Neil's mother kneels down behind him and smiles softly. I think this is suggesting to the viewer that his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In his masterpiece writing "In Cold Blood" he invented a new sort of writing, "the non–fiction" novel which was criticized on the basis of his emotional manipulation of a condemned murderer with whom he seems to fall in love. Capote is actually the dramatization of his famous writing "In Cold Blood" which covers the territory that the movie is based on the subject of Truman Capote's attempt to somehow or other create the genre of non–fictional fiction. Capote illustrates a portrait of the interest of author in the two–cold blooded killers especially in the character of Perry Smith. (Brevet, 2009) By reading the masterpiece and then watching the movie, audience can easily judge that Capote definitely manipulated Smith by bounding his actions and making him realized compelled to himself. For several times, Capote went out of his ways in order to save Smith's life. First it happened when Smith was in prison and Capote visited him and then tried his best to bring him back to life. Similarities Between Jane And Neil Perry Thematic Statement: Individuals entrapped within social constructs, often use self expression as an escape from the immense pressure of being unable to live up to societal expectations, but are unable to mold their perceived image within society and ultimately feel inclined to take drastic measures in retaliation. In both narratives, Jane and Neil Perry are oppressed by patriarchal figures that continuously force their own expectations for the supposed wellbeing of each individual, eventually resulting in the deteriorating sanity of both characters. In "The Yellow Wallpaper," Jane is frequently oppressed by her husband, John, whom despite good intentions, drives Jane to feel guilt over her predisposed uncontrollable illness. After Mr. Perry drags Neil from the play, he explains that Neil is going to be withdrawn from Welton, sent to Braden Military School, and will eventually go to Harvard to be a doctor, therefore imprisoning him for ten years. Both stories conclude with the loss of reason in the protagonists as a result of the repression of their thoughts or desires. For instance, John's denial, as a result of the obliviousness of the Victorian Era to mental illness, towards Jane's condition torments her on the notion that she cannot adeptly complete her civic duties as a wife or mother. John presumes the role of the villainous patriarchal figure, albeit unintentional, when he confines Jane to the house and scrutiny of various individuals thus trapping her within the domestic sphere. ... • 17. Loss of Innocence in Truman Capote's In Cold Blood Essay "All things truly wicked start from an innocence," states Ernest Hemingway on his view of innocence. Innocence, what every youth possesses, is more accurately described as a state of unknowing but not ignorance– which connotation suggests a blissfully positive view of the world. Most youth are protected from the harsh realities of the adult world. Therefore they are able to maintain their state of innocence. While innocence normally wanes over time, sometimes innocence can be abruptly taken away. Parents are supposed to shelter their children from the fraudulent outside world and keep their purity intact. Perry Smith, murderer of the Clutter family, had an upbringing that "was marked by brutality and lack of concern on the part of both parents." Due to his childhood he "seems to have grown up without direction, and without ever having absorbed any fixed sense of moral values." He felt no regret for murdering the family, only that he felt sorry that they were the ones " that ... had to pay for it." While Dick considered Perry as innocent, "he had never been with a woman", he believed Perry was a "natural born killer" who "attaches little real value to human life". Perry's tragic upbringing had turned him into a cold–blooded killer unaware of the beauty of innocence, which he so easily stole from the Clutter family the moment he killed them. Innocent people cannot be protected from the individual whose innocence is not present. If innocence is not present in an individual it cannot be protected. An individual of this kind makes choices that effect how corrupt they can become. Dick Hickock had a loving family, who supported and loved him as he grew up. Even though he was in a nurturing environment that protected him from the corrupt society around him, he still became a criminal. However, it is not everyday that she showcases how vulnerable and sincere she can be in her songs. With "Shotgun," another track off her stint in Nashville, Aguilera delivers a heartfelt country performance that shows there is eternity in terms of love. She left all vocal acrobatics aside, and creatively rendered a straightforward love song filled with raw emotions and pure intentions. If "The Real Thing" sounds good enough, then prepare to be blown away even more with "Shotgun." It is really fortunate that Aguilera did not abandon the country genre after her "Just A Fool" collaboration with Blake Shelton failed to make an impact. Thought it is appropriate to say that the song has all the elements of a hit single, "Just A Fool" did not go anywhere presumably because of the lack of proper exposure. On the contrary, "Shotgun" started off strong just because it follows the momentum Aguilera has created since the beginning of 2015. • 22. The Dead Poets Society By Neil Perry As I watched "The Dead Poets Society" I noticed that most of the adults, other than Mr.Keating, did not believe any of the young men should be able to think freely. They believed that because they were young their input meant nothing, and they did not know what was good for them. Not only was Mr. Keating an independent thinker, but Neil Perry also became an independent thinker after attending a couple of Mr. Keating's classes and discovering a group his teacher had formed as a schoolboy himself. In "The Dead Poets Society" many are faced with the challenge of being an independent thinker in an academy where conformity is the goal. As he began his first lecture, it started off like any other lecture a teacher would. He had a student read aloud from the section they were going to be learning about. The section treated poetry as a science graphing the quality of a poem, he had them tare this section out saying it is not what poetry is. He would not just copy what the book said, he taught them in non–conventional ways. As we can gather also from the scene where they are in the courtyard and he has them all walk individually showing that you do not have to conform and all march the same. From this, Mr. Keating is rewarded by thinking outside of the box by teaching the younger generation that they do not have to conform to what adults say, just because they are adults. • 25. Theme Of Religion In Cold Blood Religion Never Sacrificed to Darkness of Circumstances In Cold Blood by Truman Capote follows the story of two men who ruthlessly murdered a family of four, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas. The nonfiction novel follows the murderers closely and gives insight into their thoughts and actions – some of which confuse and disturb the general populace. The inclusion of details such as the "souls in sleeping Holcomb" (Capote 5) whose innocence was murdered along with the Clutter family the night of the silent shotgun blasts, the yellow parrot described in Perry Smith's dreams, the argument held over penalties in the courtroom, and the final words Dick Hickock heard before his death "on rope for bloody crime" (Capote 337), emphasize the theme that religion is firmly planted in all actions – even those which seem unfathomable to most of society. In the beginning of the novel, Capote describes the community of Holcomb as a "peaceful congregation of neighbors and old friends" (Capote 88). Everyone was involved in 4–H with the Clutters, went to school with Nancy and Kenyon, or attended church with the family every Sunday. However, their attendance at the local Methodist church each week did not prevent the feeling of a cold barrel of a shotgun pressed against each their heads just before their deaths. All their lifestyle did was confuse the authorities, who thought "'Of all the people in all the world, the Clutters were the least likely to be murdered'" (Capote 85). This imposes ... Accordingly, readers mustn't look very far before they find a plethora of rhetoric. Capote is often credited with having created the original crime novel, and he didn't get this distinction by writing like everyone else. He used his interesting writing style to make his readers feel as though they were actually in the book, but not just as an onlooker. He allowed them to get inside the character's heads and really know them, glimpsing flash backs into the character's pasts, while also foreshadowing events to come. Often this foreshadowing was very subtle and easily overlooked if the reader wasn't careful. For example, at the very bottom of page 108 and onto the top of page 109, Capote shares one of Dick's thoughts regarding Perry's anger in which he says, "The time had been when Dick had thought he could control, could regulate the temperature of these sudden cold fevers that burned and chilled his friend. He had been mistaken, and in the aftermath of that discovery, had grown very unsure of Perry..." At first glance this quote seems foreboding, but unless the reader has finished the book, they may not notice the foreshadowing. At the end of the book it is reveled that Perry single handedly killed the entire Clutter family, which is most likely the time when Dick made "the discovery" that there might be something wrong with Perry. Capote hid his foreshadowing very well, so that it is often only found once the event it foreshadowed had passed. However, this isn't to say that it was ineffective. Many put on blackface, or brownface, as part of their costumes. Others simply come up with costumes meant to insult and demean another ethnicity or culture". During the last Halloween, I met some white people who wore in ninja outfits in college during the Halloween. However, the outfits they wore actually did not show the real meaning of ninja. They merely cosplayed the characters of a Japanese animation named NARUTO. The real ninja is masked, and wear in black and looks low–key. Nonetheless, the costumes they wore in were more colorful and various. Those people do not really understand the histories of ninja, the reason why they wore in ninja outfits was simply, they thought it was interesting. • 35. Cold Blood By Truman Capote, A Cold Blooded Killer Without the basic necessities such as water and sunlight, a flower will not bloom into a beautiful, colorful creation, but rather wilt into a brown, unrecognizable mess. Just like a flower needs water and sunlight to thrive, a child requires support from a guardian to prosper in every aspect. A secure support system t in a child's life creates healthy relationships as well as providing the child with a positive perspective and mindset. However in the lives of Perry Smith, a cold blooded killer in the novel In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, child soldiers, and the children of the street, support from the family is seldom displayed. The absence of support leads these persons to lives filled with hostility and violence; lives of adversity. This goes to show, the absence of support from a parent figure or family unit has negative impacts on a child 's lifestyle. Throughout numerous areas around the globe, the reality of children living on the street has become a significant issue. This problem is mainly due to the family's inability to provide adequate care and resources for their child, "Children end up on the streets for a number of reasons, many of which are rooted in family instability and poverty," (The Children of the Street). Instead of worrying about what games to play or who to play with, these adolescents have to worry about what they will eat for the day or where they will sleep for the night. Children who have ended up on the streets are forced to fend for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Beyonce's Pretty Hurts The Beauty Within The messages of Beyonce's "Pretty Hurts" and Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful", were both astonishing. The messages of the songs are often overlooked because of the images the artists portray on society. The two songs contained an ample amount of information to take away, and to use in everyday life. The two songs opened my eyes to how people who are different feel, and how they can be beautiful in their own way, even if it hurts them in the long run. The two messages should be able to touch anybody, and inspire people to change, no matter what or who you are. The two songs, "Pretty Hurts" by Beyonce Knowles, and "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera, both have alluring messages. The two artists helped me realize how people who ... In Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful", she says "To all your friends you're delirious, So consumed, In all your doom, ooh, Trying hard to fill the emptiness". In Beyonce's "Pretty Hurts" she says, "Pretty Hurts, Shine the light on whatever's worse, Perfection is the disease of the nation, Pretty Hurts, Shine the light on whatever's worse, Tryna fix something, But you can't fix what you can't see, It's the soul that needs the surgery". I feel like both of the artists are trying to say that when you try to alter yourself to be someone you are not, you are making yourself more empty than you already feel that you are. I also think that their tone is concerned, because they feel as if people feel as if there is something wrong with them, when in all reality, they have the same amount of beauty as anyone else, inside and out. I also think that the two artists are trying to say that everyone has insecurities, and despite our insecurities we are all still beautiful. I also think the message they are trying to convey is that no matter what society says, never be afraid to be you. My text evidence is in Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" where ... • 37. Music Is An Art That The Tones Assignment "Music is an art that the tones have been arranged accordingly sequence, and produce a unified and continuous composition (Webster 's II New Riverside University Dictionary, 1984)." Music does not have any fixed form but it has different meaning for different people. I think that music is a sound that is filled with a person's emotions, feelings, and thoughts; meanwhile it can also affect a person feelings and thought. I like brisk and lively songs that make me feel happy and relax, instead of heavy sad song or strong rhythm hit song because I can easily be emotional. Among all other songs, "Wide Awake" sung by an American singer named Katy Perry is a meaningful song for me. I still remember the first time I listened to this song was in the evening, and I had just went back from school and was having a rest in the living room while watching Astro Hitz with my sister. This song showed up in the television and I cannot move my eyes away from Katy Perry's music video. It was so touching and powerful for me, I can feel the beat, bass, pitch, and the lyrics that played around my head. It is an amazing song that I had ever heard and it touched my heart. I always wanted to live in a world that has no war, no natural disaster, no pollution, and everyone is so kind and nice. Yet, it was just a dream for me because the reality shown us that everything in this world may not always be wonderful. Sometimes, I feel like escaping myself from this world because everyone would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

That's what a lot of Texans what Americans and people around the world to know– you don't mess with Texas. In the 1950's, when President Eisenhower created the first Interstate plan for the country and implemented new roads in almost every single state, it was the largest engineering feat in the modern world. Now, almost half a century later, GovernorRick Perry is set to break that record, with the costliest, largest, and most incredible–sized proportion Texas Trans–Corridor, dubbed the "Texas Superhighway," a 4000 mile, $175 billion dollar project that won't be completely functional for another fifty years (Perry). Also, any traveler on the I–35 corridor in Texas runs into hundreds of eighteen–wheelers, increasing drivers awareness and causing disarray for drivers who are trying to see the road in front of them. Perry's answer is to shift the traffic away from metropolitan areas. If truck drivers can bypass San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas, the time to their destination would probably save them an entire day in travel. Freight rail services could veer away from San Antonio's railroad yard, an institution bustling with activity in the wee hours of the morning. Also, commuter rail can solve environmental problems and help families keep in touch anywhere in the state without the over–burdening costs of driving (Perry). Perry's plan begins with the setup itself: Six, twelve–foot vehicle passenger lanes in which the vehicle can travel at 80 miles per hour; Four, thirteen foot truck lanes; Two tracks for each of the following railroad establishments– high speed rail, commuter rail, and freight rail. No transportation facility exists like this in the modern world. All of these integrations to modern society are completely bundled into one, and their concept is all the same – relieve traffic in urban centers and create a safe and enjoyable experience through the Texas countryside without interruption ...
