Education in young girls is a key factor to many world problems. On this presentation I talk about this, since is a topic of interest for me and I developed a project based on it.
2. 72 million children – 54 per cent of them girls – are out of
school.
Violence against women is a universal phenomenon and
women are subjected to different forms of violence –
physical, sexual, psychological and economic – both within
and outside their homes.
3. By delaying child marriage and early birth for one
million girls in Bangladesh, the country could
potentially add $69billion to the national income
over these girls' lifetimes.
In India, adolescent pregnancy results in nearly
$10billion in lost potential income per year.
In Uganda, 85 per cent of girls leave school early,
resulting in $10billion in lost potential earnings.
