2. Brooklin, Maine
I live in the beautiful coastal town of
Brooklin, Maine. I live on property that was
granted to my dad’s family from King George III.
It is very rural and off the tourist path (which is
nice). We are known for EB White, Woodenboat
Magazine, and boatbuilding.
3. Classroom Teacher
First and Second Grade
I have the great pleasure of teaching first and
second graders in a combined classroom in
Brooksville, Maine. I have 14 students in my class
and I teach all subjects but art, music and gym. We
are a very small school. We have 65 students in pre-
K through 8th grades. Like I said, we are very small.
4. Almost the End!!
This is my last class and I am taking it in tandem
with the Action Research Class. I will have my
hands full for the next few weeks.
I have really enjoyed the format and the classes that
have been part of the Literacy program. I have
learned so much that I can apply in my job.
When this is over I will take a break from reading
texts and find a good fiction novel.
5. My Favorite Things
After the passing of my mother in May and moving
in with my 90 year of father I have to say I have
learned to truly treasure family and friends.
My father is a World War II veteran and I read to
him all the time. I have discovered that I love
history. If I could do it all again I would be a
history teacher.
I love my dear family which includes my
husband, daughter and sweet, sweet dog Willow!!
