When creating her magazine, the author found Apple Mac computers, Photoshop, Facebook, Blogger, and Twitter useful. She had never used an Apple computer or Photoshop before but became comfortable with both through practice. Photoshop allowed her to professionally design her magazine, and Facebook provided proof of permission from her models. Blogger was where she posted her target audience research and planning. While Twitter was also used for research, Facebook contained more relevant information from her friends.
2. When research and planning, but also
creaing my magazine I used amc
thouhgtout the whole of this process. I
had never used an apple mac computer
before until I started my AS Media course
at college, I found it difficult at first but
soon got the hang of things, I now would
not go back to using a normal computer
and I am also considering purchasing an
apple mac computer or macbook my self.
Apple macs are useful for everthing, I
used it most for photoshop and my blog
which is on blogger.

3. PHOTOSHOP
During the construction of my magazine my
skills of Photoshop have increased massively.
Each lesson one of my peers have presented to
the rest of the class their ‘top tip’ for
Photoshop
this helped a lot with the little details in our
final magazine product. Without the use of
Photoshop my magazine would not have been
up to the professional standard as in which it is
now.
Before my AS media studies course began I had only heard of Photoshop, never once used it,
I found it extremely difficult to get my head around it in the beginning, it was all new to me,
other class peers had used Photoshop for a very long time before this course which made me
feel even more useless when using it. But after a few weeks of practice my Photoshop skills
improved hugely! I can use Photoshop comfortably and easily now.
4. FACEBOOK
Facebook is an app which I am defiantly able and comfortable to
use. I have been a member of Facebook for 4 years now and It is
so useful for any person everywhere in the world. Facebook is a
social networking site which allows you to connect with people all
over the world. I have used Facebook within my coursework for
the past 9 months to show print screens of messages of proof my
models when I asked their permission to use them as my models
for my magazine. Facebook is usually used more for personal use,
when connecting with friends or creating a page for a group you
want people to recognise or find out about. Facebook is a great
way of promotion and meeting new people.
5. BLOGGER
Before starting my As media coursework I had never before used blogger,
but before I knew it I was away. Firstly I had to create a Gmail which
luckily for me I already had, this was the email I would be using for my blogger
account. This blog would be were I post all of my target audience research and planning,
everything from what my target audience like to eat all the way up to my final product.
Blogger is basically a big piece of work which at the end of the course will be examined by
the moderator. Blogger can also be used as a personal use, for business or just for fun, for
example my class mate Emily Bunker used blogger for her own use, she has a make up tutorial
blog which is very successful.
6. TWITTER
Twitter is also another social networking site but it a lot more
private than Facebook is, Facebook allows you to become
friends with other Facebook users and have access to their
personal details and information, where as twitter is an app in
which you follow people and if they accept the follow you can
then have access to whatever they decide to tweet and post, they
still now cannot see your personal page unless they choose to
follow you, in which this is then your decision weather to let them.
I sometimes used print screens from twitter when I was creating my
magazine and research and planning, but not as much as I did face-
book. The only reason for this would be because a lot more of my
friends use Facebook which made it easier to use this app.
