9. Bootleg Booze
To start when I first developed the concept was to teach others about how to spot fake alcohol
and also to help locate the retailers that are either selling it by accident or just to make a quick
pound.
To begin with I started looking at a ways in which to spot fake alcohol and also looking into if
any other websites were doing the same. After I had looked around for other competitors I
started to look at a site to host the tips. Before I made the Bootleg Booze Spruz I made the
Facebook and a Facebook page, and found some success in this found a few friends and after
adding a few people, people started to add back. I also looked into twitter but had very little
success but still kept it active to broaden the use of which people could contact Bootleg Booze.
I also made a banner using Photoshop it was based on a popular meme, the page had gained
interest from this, because it was when I uploaded the banner that people started to add the
page.
I then looked into various different sites and blogs to expand my brand, I looked into using
webs and weebly but found them to difficult to use, I also used Tumblr and after a shaky start
looked into the Google Feed burner for my RSS feed, so I could link all of my social media
together, this proved to need some work as it was not working properly but after some fiddling I
have now managed to link it to my Tumblr. I have linked my Tumblr that is now linked to the
Spruz site the Facebook and the twitter, to post in all of them all I have to do is post in the
Tumblr and after half an hour it will repost to the other pages.
Tumblr also has the capacity to use queued posts that would have been the next step in the
production of the blog, when and if I make another blog I will use these tools.
Editor's Notes
Using google’s feed burner allowed me to link all the social media to each other and I would only need to post through tumblr.
