Early Americans arrived in North America between 30,000 and 15,000 years ago by crossing a land bridge called Beringia that previously connected Siberia to Alaska. They came searching for better hunting grounds and are the ancestors of today's Native Americans. Archeologists study artifacts, relics, bones and other evidence left behind by past cultures to learn about their ways of life without making assumptions.
