2. About NTA
NTA stands for National Testing Agency. The agency was established in
2018 by MHRD with an aim to conduct different entrance exams.
NTA is a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing
organization which has taken a responsibility of conducting many exams,
standardize transparency in the exam process, assess competence of
candidates for admissions and recruitment and all such issues.
3. Objectives of the NTA
The NTA (National Testing Agency) was set up for the following objectives:
To spread and produce information and research on education and professional
developmental standards.
To conduct the test in an efficient and transparent way in order to assess the
competency of the candidate for admission and recruitment process.
To undertake research on educational, professional systems to identify gaps in
knowledge systems.
To identify experts and institutions in setting examination questions.

6. Responsibilities of the NTA
Following are the list of responsibilities that the Agency has to take:
Issuing the official Notification for exams.
Appointment of key position holders a supporting staff for organising the
exam.
Approving the core syllabus.
Publishing the Admission notice in all required formats.
7. Responsibilities of the NTA
Approving the bulletin.
Providing the examination schedule.
Conducting pre-examination activities like taking online mock test
papers, video lectures.
Finalizing the status of applications received online.
Fixing the examination centres.
8. Mission & Vision of the NTA
The National testing Agency was established with the vision to give India
her demographic dividend by providing admissions of the candidates to the
best Institutions.
The mission of the NTA is to maintain the quality of these entrance exams
by administering research-based valid, reliable, efficient, transparent, fair
and international level assessments.
