8. 3. CITY
If you decide to film outdoors make sure the
shot is not too busy. Choose an interesting
backdrop. If you are filming in a metropolitan
city make it recognizable in the video.
18. 7. CAMERA POSITION
All the shots should be filmed from the
front. Avoid profile shots.
Use either the whole figure in the picture
frame or a half figure. Don’t use extreme
close-ups and don’t zoom-out too far.
30. 10. FACE AREA
Avoid obstructing the face (do not touch
the face, drink or put any objects in front
of the face).
Take in account that the Happy Melly
“mask” will be added as an extra layer
on top of your video.
33. 11. SPACE
Verify that there is sufficient space above
the head and that it does not nearly touch
the picture fame. The Happy Melly “mask”
would then be cropped by the video frame.
36. 12. SIZE
Make sure your video has the right
resolution and will not appear pixelated.
Alway film using the highest resolution
of your device. Minimum size of the
raw material should be 1024x576 px.
41. 14. VARIATION
If you want to create multiple shots always
vary in background and/or camera position
to emphasize that you are filming a new part
of the script.
