CCSD Schools use results from October system-wide
testing for Automatic Referrals for gifted services (end of
November).
4. AUTOMATIC REFERRALS
• CCSD Automatic Testing Referral Criteria:
• Permission to Test forms sent home for students qualifying for
additional testing.

5. WINDOW 2 TESTING: “TARGET TESTING”
• December 1-18
• Creativity/Motivation rating scales are completed for all students
having a qualifying mental ability or achievement score.
• Students who have rating scales and mental abilities/achievement
scores that meet minimum state requirements will be offered
additional testing during this window
• Students are evaluated on all 4 criteria, which determine additional
testing opportunities

• Results sent to parents at the end of December.
6. WINDOW 3: KINDERGARTEN TESTING
• May 2016
• Students will be identified through data collected throughout
the school year that indicates that the child consistently goes
above and beyond the Kindergarten standards in the classroom
setting
• Students have another opportunity for testing four months later,
in the fall of first grade
