2. Inspiration and influences
• Illegal civ 3- young skaters around same age as skaters in mine
• Stickers- filmed around Leeds close to where some of my locations
may be
• Séance- great soundtrack which reflects the skater's style
• smut- shots and editing like what I would like to do
• Baker 3- one of the most well-known skate films there is
• The decline of western civilisation - style of documenting that I would
like to do
3. skills and knowledge
• Filmed some clips before
• competent knowledge of editing
• Would like to learn a better way of editing and some different
techniques
• Improve my communication skills for the interview in hope to get
lengthy answers over one word, simple answers
4. Why this medium
• I have an interest in skating and also in video/ cinematography and so
this form of media would be the best area to focus in on
• The audience can feel like they know the people in the video seeing
how they skate but also them explaining and answering interview
questions
5. Research needed
• A look into past videos to figure out schematics of filming
• How to conduct interview to get many words
• There are many skate videos so to figure out what people would want
to see in a skate video and also what they like in current skate videos
• The average age range of people watching to figure out what would
keep the attention of the age range
6.
7. Mood board influences
• Style of video- fisheye lens, how close some shots should be filmed
skating up close other scenes between people far away
• Inspiration on advertising if I were to do advertising- lots of
animation, some CGI and greenscreens, cut-outs
• Content for the video- skits, inserts between showing funny stuff or
serious stuff
