Final presentation summarizing my first year at Parsons MFA in Design + Technology. So many amazing experiences and learnings came from this that the presentation really doesn't do it much justice, but it's definitely in there.
2. In a Previous Life:
Art Direction, coming up with ideas.
I am dissatisfied with coming up with ideas and not actually
making anything. That, and McDonald’s.
4. So what to do?
I wanted to be able to create, so I decided to come to Parsons.
Why Parsons, and Design + Technology? Because it was time to
embrace technology as a creative tool? How are these tools
used, I have no idea, so I need to learn.
6. I honestly thought I was going to be focusing on animation
and probably developing my web skills.
7. Bootcamp was a huge moment.
Code as a creative tool just has so many possibilities.
PComp brings back exactly what I was missing in my own
relationship to technology,
you don’t have to be restricted to the screen.
