Digital technologies played a key role throughout the planning, research, construction, and evaluation stages of the student's media coursework. Mood boards and brainstorming using Animoto and Prezi helped with initial planning and idea development. Researching existing animated trailers on YouTube provided inspiration and understanding of conventions. Photoshop and a graphics tablet were used to rotoscope footage and construct the teaser trailer frame-by-frame, while Final Cut Pro and Audio Network added sound and music. Survey Monkey collected target audience feedback to help evaluate and refine the work. Overall, digital tools were found to be essential for completing the media portfolio to a high standard.
