2. Pre - Production
During our pre-production, I have used
different methods to research about our
genre (teen drama).
I used YouTube and Art of the Title to look
at opening sequences that shared similar
conventions to ours.
I learnt how to use Blogger. I had never
used blogger as I was always more familiar
with Tumblr but this enabled me to learn
about different websites such as Blogger.
3. Production
We used a SD card in order to save all our videos. Once
we finished shooting all of our scenes, we transferred
this into the Mac which allowed us to edit it on Final Cut
Pro.
Here is a photo of me
setting up the camera at our
first shoot. We used a tripod
in order to reduce the
shakiness. During the
production, I’ve learnt how
to use and stabilise the
camera. I also learnt about
the different settings and
how to create an autofocus
shot as seen at the
beginning of our opening
sequence.
4. This is a photo of me and Bene
looking at all the shots that we’ve
taken in the alley way. I have
learnt how to take shots from
different angles and combining
them together to create a
continuity effect in Final Cut Pro.
Here is another photo of us using the
tripod again in the last scene.
5. This is the Panasonic
camera that we have
used to produce our
opening sequence. I
became more and
more familiar with this
camera as we went
along.
6. Post-Production
Since I’ve had prior experience with Final Cut Pro, I was already familiar
with this programme. However, using this programme after such a long time
has improved my editing skills as well as working with many shots. We took
many shots as this would allow us to choose the best one. This taught me
how to pick and choose between different types of shots and putting them
together.
7. These are websites which I have never used before. Using
these sites have taught me to be more creative with presenting
my work.
