I grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota–a small town with a deep passion and obsession for their German heritage with a population of around 13,000.
Although with this town, it has a lack of diversity. The percentage of Caucasians is around 95%, which leaves the remaining 5% to non–Caucasians; I
am Chinese and part of that 5% of non–Caucasians. Being different here is a challenge, we have the friendly people that treat us decently, but then we
have the people that would give us a look of disgust or an intrusive stare. Similar to the looks that you got when people were judging you and your
yellow motorcycle. Growing up with that experience made me think that a large amount of the world was unkind and rude, but after reading your book,
I realized that there was kindness all around the world and it was very active in some.
It was astonishing to see very kind people help you on your journey from gas and food to a night to stay. Some were homeless, but they still gave

I spent my time volunteering at the Clothes Closet, but I was able to snag a tour of the whole building and speak to their CEO, John Kimp. From what
I gathered here, the intentions are very good, and the people that work there are legitimately trying to help others. The Good Grocer is almost 40 years

make the most use out of the money given to them.
The idea of helping people in need is in line with the first premise of Singer's argument, which is that "suffering and death from lack of food, shelter,
and medical care are bad" (15). The second premise states that "if it is in your power to prevent something bad from happening, without sacrificing
anything nearly as important, it is wrong not to do so" (Singer 15). This idea goes beyond helping within your physical reach, help needed from large
distances away can be just as important as help nearby. The last premise of this argument is that you can donate to acharity to prevent something bad
from happening, without sacrificing much at all (Singer 15). For example, giving up Starbucks coffee for a week can save multiple lives by giving that

Can you imagine what kind of life you would have had if the person who is your father today rejected you and ran away every time he saw your
face just because he did not want you to be born in the first place? Meet Yannely Suero, the girl who was rejected before she was even born.
Growing up without a father was very common for children in Villa Flores which is a community in the Dominican Republic. But Yannely's
situation was not just her not having a father to provide her with the basic needs that she needed, but it was beyond that. She had a father who did
not want her and even told her mother to get an abortion the second he found out she was pregnant. Yannely's father was not around her mother
before or even after she was born. When Yannely got a little bit older she wanted to know her father, but she, later on, regrated even finding out who
her father was because of the way he treated her. It was too obvious that the father did not want her at all by ignoring her knocking on the door, or the
way he turned around and ran because he could not even look at her face. This broke Yannely's heart but that was not the end of her journey. Through
Compassion International Yannely found a purpose and she was able to heal and feel loved again. Through asponsor who was like a grandmother to
her, Yannely's life changed for good and she then focused on pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. She held no hate against her father because she
