This document summarizes information about poverty, including its causes and effects, and ways it can be addressed. It is caused by a lack of resources and opportunities that traps people in a cycle of deprivation. Poverty affects many globally and leads to issues like crime, disease, and shorter lifespans. Some solutions discussed are social entrepreneurship like Muhammad Yunus' Grameen Bank, which provides microloans to help the poor start businesses. Yunus believes this is a human right and effective way to emerge from poverty. Individuals can also make a difference through donations or volunteering their time to help those in need.
