• Managed, planned, did logistics and outreach for, and co-facilitated 5 highly successful
large events/workshops. Continuing
• Created and managed MOUs, project budgets and project workplans, and helped with
reporting and administration for over $1,000,000 in grants.
• Lead writer for “Local Food Value Chains: A Collaborative Conversation” – highly
influential paper on local foods in Appalachia.
• Shot and edited videos for professional and layperson audiences; made an interactive
online map of local food value chains.
• Developed and provided IT support for two client websites.

Just Economics
Member of Board and Executive Committee Jan. 2011 to Present
Currently serving on the Board, Executive Committee, Living Wage Certification Committee
and Fundraising Committee of Just Economics, an organization dedicated to the creation of a
just and sustainable economy in Western North Carolina. Assisted in:

• And far surpassing our living wage certification program goals, including successfully
lobbying the City of Asheville to pay their employees and contractors a living wage.

Ran two dormitories while finishing my degree at Warren Wilson College. Significantly
reduced damages in those dormitories via active management and community building.

Designed/built three large rainwater catchment systems, working with county and state
engineers to implement a water catchment grant. Helped to develop educational and outreach
programs and materials for plumbing crew members, college staff, and students.

Learned on the job and worked 10-12 hour days, sometimes on top of school and another job,
as part of a lean, high-functioning team executing complex orders with clockwork precision.
The Marketplace of the Berkshires
Cheesemonger Oct. 2006 to Feb. 2008
Rapidly rose from counter sales to helping manage department. Wrote internal staff manual on
Marketplace’s 70+ cheeses and how to describe them. Did regular public demonstrations, and
created cooperative cross-marketing relationships with other store departments.
