30 Day Mediterranean Lifestyle Challenge Pledge
1. 30 Day Mediterranean Lifestyle Challenge
I pledge to adopt and maintain a Mediterraneanlifestyle for 30 days -- March 11 through April 9. At the
end of the 30 days, I will assess how I feel and make a conscious decision of how I want to live going
forward. This includesincorporating concepts from the New Sonoma Diet book.
Specifically, I will focus on:
Eatingwhole, unprocessed foods
Using olive oil as a main culinary fat
Eating a variety of vegetables, fruit, legumes, fish and nuts
Eating mindfully and with others
Moving more
Getting enough sleep – 7 to 9 hours per night
Taking time to appreciate family, friends and my surroundings
Spending time with people that support my efforts
Additionally, I will attend the Lunch & Learn sessions and read the daily blog posts.
You have the option of participating in biometric screenings that will be conducted by LWS on March 6th
and April 17th between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the HR area. The screenings will include
blood pressure, body fat, waist circumference, weight, glucose, and cholesterol. Both the glucose and
cholesterol screenings are venipuncture blood draws and WILL require fasting. Everyone is welcome to
participate in the general screenings, but we need a count of the people who intend to participate in the
blood draws.
I will participate in BOTH of the biometric screenings that include a blood draw to measure
glucose and cholesterol.
I will NOT participate in either of the blood draws to measure glucose and cholesterol.
