The Fields of Sports Medicine
Throughout the health field there are many job opportunities and branches. One of those branches is
sports medicine. With sports medicine there are many options to choose from. A person could be an
athletic trainer, physical therapist, dietitian/nutritionist, an orthopedics doctor, or even a nurse. Each
career is special in its own way and helps people in different ways also. The jobs can also coexist in
the same office while equally contributing to the others. It all starts with the office. In most cases,
the clinic, or office, is a branch of a hospital. Each office usually has a Dr, or Doctors that use the
space for their clinical. Each of the doctors usually goes to school for the same amount of time but
might specialize in different body parts. For example, all of the doctors go to school anywhere
between ten and twelve years depending on their specialty (. They are among some of the highest
paid careers with a salary of $429,428. Most of the school for doctors includes a lot of anatomy,
physiology, biology, pharmacology and math. Along with orthopedic doctors there are also
osteopathy doctors. These doctors are the physicians who diagnose illness and oversee treatment for
patients. These doctors also specialize in hands–on diagnosis and treatment which focuses
specifically on the musculoskeletal system. Their salary ranges from $140,000 to $300,000 and can
spend anywhere from eleven to eighteen years in school. Their schooling would include the same as

Advantages Of Gazelle Edge Machine
GAZELLE EDGE MACHINE
The purpose of gazelle edge machine is needed to be understood first. The gazelle edge machine is
used to provide cardiovascular exercise in simpler ways.
What is cardiovascular or cardio vascular exercise?
Any activity using large muscles for example legs, hips, buttock muscles is known as cardiovascular
exercise.
In general, a meaning of cardio is heart while vascular is described as vessels that circulate fluid.
Cardiovascular exercise refers to typical activity that causes a sustaining increase in heart rate and
breathes, as a result, while you are working increment in blood circulation occurs and oxygen
circulates throughout the body muscles. The higher level of activity is, the harder your
cardiovascular system goes.

Cons of Gazelle Machine:
Though its can folded flat by structure but, its pedals drop loosely on the chain cable that will
somehow annoy you.
2. Gazelle Supreme:
The Gazelle Supreme is so many resemblances with the basic Gazelle glider, the Edge model.
However, there is much difference in these two as well. Firstly, this particular perfect costs about
$100 and much more. But there are two most important features that are why it has a high cost. A
supreme perfect features an opposition system, and that is the pulse sensors, which is not integrated
into the Edge model. Frame

Icebreakers
Icebreakers and Introductions
The first day of a course is essential to the success of the course. It is important to start the course on
a positive note by making sure all of the participants feel comfortable and get to know each other as
soon as possible. The activities the trainer or facilitator uses at the beginning of a course to help the
participants get to know each other are known as icebreakers or introductions. Here are a number of
icebreakers and introductions you can use.
Unique Characteristics – Even if the participants already know each other, the clinical trainer must
get to know them. Instead of asking participants to say their names, the trainer can divide the group
into pairs and give participants a few minutes to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Training – Where have you conducted training? What have you taught? What year did you start?
Pet – How old is Dog? What does Dog eat? Where do you keep Dog?
Switzerland – Where did you live in Switzerland? What language was spoken in that part of
Switzerland?
Step 3: Participants vote on which statement is a lie. The facilitator reveals which are truths and
which are lies.
Place participants in small groups (3 or 4 works well). Small groups repeat steps 1 – 3. Have
participants introduce each other to the large group.
What's the Question?
Step 1: The facilitator writes some facts on the board. Example:
Purple
16 months
Kenya
Step 2: Participants try to think of the question that matches each fact.
Purple – What's your favorite color? What color is your car? What color is your favorite clothing?
16 months – How long have you lived in this city? How old is your child? How long have you been
married?
Kenya – Where were you born? Where have you worked? Where are you going on vacation?
Step 3: When participants have discovered all of the questions, place them in small groups (3 – 4).
Repeat steps 1 and 2. Have participants introduce each other to the large group.
Nonsense Name Game– Introduce yourself to the group with a sentence based upon the first letter of
your name. Examples:
"I'm kooky Katherine. I like kissing kittens."

Cross Training Modalities As A Form Of Injury Prevention
Implementing cross training modalities as a form of injury prevention is a common practice among
endurance runners. Lower extremity injury rates among runners have been observed at rates
between 19.4% and 79.3% annually, specifically categorized as chronic overuse injuries (van Gent,
et al., 2007; Hoeberigs, J.H., 1992). Additionally, it is suggested that approximately 60% of chronic
injuries can be attributed to increasing training volume too suddenly (Hreljac, 2004). It has been
thought that multiple different cross training modalities can be a reasonable low–impact substitute of
aerobic exercise (Burns, & Lauder, 2001; Lu, Chien and Chen, 2007; Kilding, Scott, and Mullineax,
2007). Many methods of cross training have been used as a substitute to running, including elliptical
exercise (EE), deep water running (DWR), swimming, and stationary cycling (Foster et al., 1995;
Lu et al., 2007; Pizza et al., 1995; Sozen, 2010). When coaches and rehabilitation specialists
prescribe certain forms of cross training, many factors must be considered when deciding which will
be most beneficial. The specificity of training principles suggests that relevant activities should be
done in order to gain results in the primary activity. Cross training is an activity that is used to
improve the performance of one sport by training in an additional one, contrary to what the
specificity principle would imply for preferred practices (Kilding, Scott, & Mullineaux, 2007;

Evaluation Of The Training Evaluation Process Essay
Introduction
The training evaluation process is a necessary assessment of the benefits that the organization and
the trainee receive from training (Phillips, 2016), while the performance evaluation is an appraisal
process geared to improve employee's performance and skills after training (Gomez–Mejia, Balkin,
& Cardy, 2016, p. 206). These two assessment processes are critical for examining the effectiveness
of training and hiring process for the "Wines of the World" class dinner (or the Dinner) at the
University of Denver. Partnered with the African Community Center of the Ethiopian Community
Development Council (ECDC/ACC) who provides Commercial Food Safety and Service (CFaSST)
courses to help refugees get training in the hospitality industry and ultimately find a job, Knoebel
School hired CFaSST students to serve the dinner as the capstone for the course. Aware of the
various cultural background and English ability of the CFaSST students, students in human capital
class designed customized hiring processes and individualized training and performance evaluation
programs to maximize every CFaSST student's potential.
Upon the successful hosting of the event, the trainer determines that the training program for lead
server Zahra was overall successful, and the performance evaluation indicates that Zahra's
performance was well above expectation with possible future development in communication and
leadership. This report discusses the design of the performance appraisal from

Essay on Biography of Johann Elert Bode
Johann Elert Bode was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 19, 1747. His father was a merchant
and his mother stayed at home with him and his eight younger brothers and sisters. Bode never went
to formal school, but his father was determined to teach him how to be a great merchant. However,
Bode didn't want to become a merchant. He was very interested in mathematics, geography, and
astrology. He decided to go against what his father was teaching him and pursue a career in
Astrology instead. When Bode was a child he had a nasty eye infection that caused him to lose most
of his sight in his right eye. This didn't keep him from his studies or his astrological findings. When
Bode was 18 his father died of a serious illness. After this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Uranus was later found and its number is 19. Bode's law can not, however, accurately give the
correct answer for Neptune and Pluto. While Bode's name is in the name of the law he was not the
person who created it. He was only the person who popularized it. Johann Daniel Titius was actually
the first person to first announce it. Bode had written about it in one of his studies but he had not
credited Titius for his works, so people just assumed that it was Bode's findings. Bode later gave
Titius the credit he deserved, hence the second name of the law, Bode–Titius Law.
Bode has many other contributions to astronomy. He found, in total, four different celestial bodies
and "rediscovered" three others. He discovered M81, a spiral galaxy in Ursa Major; M82, an
irregular galaxy also in Ursa Major; M53, a globular cluster in Coma Berenices; M92, another
globular cluster, in Hercules; M64, a spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices, this one was discovered by
Edward Pigott then Bode rediscovered it 12 days later; M48, an open cluster in Hydra, discovered
by Charles Messier; and IC4665, an open open cluster in Ophiuchus, discovered by De Cheseaux.
Also, in 1776 Bode created his version of the theory of the solar constitution. Later in 1795, Sir
William Herschel created his theory of the theory of the solar constitution by tweaking Bode's
version to fit his beliefs. Bode is the man whom came up with the planet name "Uranus" and it has
been called that ever since.

Personal Trainer Disadvantages
Grunts fill the air. Weights crash to the floor. Music plays over the speakers as a trainer yells
encouragements. These are the sights and sounds one planning to be a personal trainer will
experience on the job. As one prepares for a future in the field of personal training, one must
consider the educational requirements, the work environment, the wages and benefits, the duties and
responsibilities, and the advantages and disadvantages of being a personal trainer.
The educational requirements needed to become a personal trainer are interesting. Many people who
go into this field of work are already very knowledgeable just from personal experiences within high
school sports or even college sports. Most people who are involved in sports or any physical activity
are most likely the ones who are interested in becoming a personal trainer ("Coaches" 91). The more
involved one is in a sport the more information he or she could obtain from athletic trainers and
coaches. One doesn't have to attend a college or university to become a certified personal trainer.
Although by attending college one could gain more information about the profession. There are tons
of programs which are offered throughout the country for personal trainers. When it comes to
grasping the idea of muscle groups, food limitation, along with other important factors, almost all
science classes play a big role in personal training. The most common classes taken to become a

Long Smooth 20″–22″ Stride Length – I found the 20″–22″ stride to be smooth and comfortable. If
you are under 5'5″ you may want to consider a machine with with a smaller stride. However, this is
an ideal stride length for average to above average users. The stride is elongated, which is what you
want with an elliptical. Cheaper units will often have an 18″ stride with a flywheel weighing
considerably less. The result is a choppy circular motion that requires lifting your knees. It's not as
comfortable and consequently you'll probably exercise less and getting fewer results.
Adjustable Foot pedals– To add to your comfort level the Sole Elliptical E35 is designed with
articulating foot pedals. They angle with the elliptical motion. To increase your comfort level, you
can manually make further adjustments to the angle of the pedals. If you have flat feet or higher
arches, you can adjust the pedals to an ideal angle that will further reduce stress and potential

Descriptive Essay About Soccer
The school bus finally arrived at Desert Mirage High School where my team and I got off and
prepared for our soccer game. The sky was somewhat cloudy, so it must have rained before we got
there because as soon as I stepped on to the field, I could smell the fresh grass and the wet dirt. We
started off with our usual warm ups which was a lap around the field, followed with a variety of
stretches, foot skills, and a shooting drills. After we were all finished our coach gathered us up to
decide what the setup was going to be. I was not part of the group in the first half that played;
however, we couldn't have started any better. The first half of the game is forty–five minutes and by
the twentieth minute the score was three to zero. As the first half came to an end I was excited and
filled with joy because we had the lead. Our coach decided to switch the placement of people and
ended placing me into the second play. When I stepped onto the field I felt a rush of excitement, yet
a hand full of nerves. My teammate Denise and I were set as forwards with her on the right side and
me on the left side. We started off with the ball in the middle, and as soon as the referee blew the
whistle Denise sprinted to the right side of the field and I kicked the ball hard enough for it to reach
her. Denise was struggling between two defenders of the other team when our midfielder, Anial, ran
to help her. In that moment, Denise pushed the ball forward for Anial to take it and move towards

It does this by mimicking the natural movement of the joints. The effectiveness of this trainer is
largely due to the resistance levels. Users are able to work at a range of intensities with this elliptical
trainer due to the different levels of tension. When the body is working against added resistance it
exerts more force. This exertion of force causes many physiological responses including an increase
in heart rate as well as blood flow to muscle tissues. Heart rate is at the center of cardiovascular
exercise and the Stamina In–Motion trainer is more than capable of increasing that number
significantly. In fact, users are able to train within the first 3 heart rate training zones, more or less,

Recumbent Elliptical Exercise Machines
A recumbent elliptical is exercise equipment that enables you to exercise without the awkwardness
of sitting in uncomfortable, upright positions. The movements that are made when using a
recumbent elliptical are much easier on your joints than other exercise equipment, which means that
the risk of injury is lower. Risk of injury is still present however, especially if you are unable to
adjust the machine to the proper position to suit your needs. If you are planning on purchasing one
of these machines, it is best to familiarise yourself with the different features, materials and designs
which will then make your decision much easier. It's important to try exercise equipment before
buying if it is possible. That way you can get a feel of what is comfortable for your body, and it is
also advisable to buy equipment of high quality as opposed to cheap, plastic if possible. A stable
base is essential also to ensure that it doesn't rock when you are exercise with is a hazard.
Different recumbent elliptical exercise machines come with different features, so you are bound to
find one that will suit your needs. The primary movers for require flexion and extension from the
knees, as opposed to arms. These types of exercise equipment work out the lower and upper body,
and are effective in working out more muscle groups, which results in a more efficient workout.
Another feature of recumbent elliptical machines that is useful is adjustable seats. It is important to

Personal Narrative Of Soccer
Comeback–Prone I've broken bones, sprained joints, and strained muscles. It would be an
understatement to call me injury–prone. Soccer, the sport I love, has been a two edged sword. Along
with all of adrenaline filled fun, the lifelong friendships, and invaluable learning opportunities,
comes unforgettable mistakes, devastating losses, and the seemingly infinite hours of hard work.
None of those drawbacks were as trying and painful as when I tore my ACL. I remember that day
almost too vividly. It was an deceptively beautiful fall morning. It was the opening game of the first
tournament my team participated in that 2016 season. I had the ball between my feet and I had an
opponent on my back. In an attempt to evade him, I quickly and almost effortlessly cut the ball from
my left foot to my right. As I planted my left foot, I stepped into a small divot in the poorly kept
field. This proved to be costly. With someone right behind me, I landed on the uneven ground with
the pressure of both my weight and his push on my left knee. I instantly heard a slightly audible pop
like a cork being released from a tightly sealed bottle. I dropped almost instantaneously as my knee
felt unstable and pain rushed to the location of the pop. I groaned in nearly unbearable agony as I
lied with my back down in the dew covered grass. I am not the type of person to draw attention to
myself, but in this situation, attention was unavoidable. As soon as the referee signaled for a stop in

considering it was my first job and the fact that I had to do all the paperwork, interviews, computer

Monday was a little busier than Sunday, but a great deal of the arrivals came early and had already

reviewing procedures with my trainer. Due to the fact that at Wild Dunes, you are handling and
dealing with properties that are individually owned, each property comes with its own set of rules

Essay on The Complete Beginner’s Guide in Getting Personal...
Getting into a fitness regime is not as easy as everyone thinks. There are many individuals who've
gotten a 6–month gym membership or who've pledged to go through a 90–day workout program
only to be not seen in the gym after the first month or to go back to their daily routine after the first
week. For these individuals what they need is a push to get them working through the fitness
program and to keep them motivated. A personal trainer can be this push.
The success of your fitness program is dependent though with the type of personal trainer you hire.

First thing you should look for is someone you can trust and someone you feel comfortable with.
You're going to be with this trainer for the duration of the program so it's good that you can easily
get along with him.
The trainer should also be a good listener and have good communication skills. And most
importantly, he should be someone that pay a great deal of attention to you as their client. It would
be a waste of time getting a trainer who is always busy with his phone or laptop during your
sessions.
Questions that Need to Be Asked
Before agreeing to sign a contract for a fitness program with a personal trainer, there are a few
questions you need to ask. This will make sure you get what you want and don't get any unfortunate
surprises in the middle of your contract.
What are the packages offered and the price for each package?
Is there an expiration or a time period for the package?
Are there any other fees you would need to pay? For example, fees for extra services or cancellation
fees.
What is the time availability of the trainer?
Where will be the sessions be held? Can the trainer come to your home, will it be at the gym or do
they offer outdoor fitness venues?
Can they make training programs that puts your health into consideration?
Can the trainer provide references of previous clients?
Are the programs up–to–date with fitness and health issues?

Respiratory Protection Training Program
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to create a written
respiratory program if their employees may be exposed to respiratory hazards. Respiratory hazards
are a main concern in any situation when there is a presence of some form of airborne hazard which
threatens a person's health and life. Respiratory hazards exist in a workplace when a substance is in
the atmosphere at a concentration level that may cause bodily harm if inhaled, or when there is an
oxygen deficiency in the atmosphere. These hazards are common among manufacturing operations.

Football Reflection
In this story, I am going to share an experience with you about a lesson that I learned last year
during the football season. It will include some graphic details, a deeper look into my thoughts and
feelings, and much more. This is the story that helped change my whole mindset of football. This is
what Friday night lights is all about.
During the last football season, I suffered an injury that I thought was going to affect me in such a
negative way. But it turns out, even though it was one of the most painful things I've experienced, it
ended up being one of the best things to happen to me. My whole mindset on the game of football
changed for the better, and it made me into the great player I am today.
It was homecoming night against the powerhouse Taylorville, it was cold, rainy, and the field turned
into a swamp of mud, sweat, and blood. It was time for the game to start. Taylorville came out on
offense and on the very first play of the game, Parker Stokes ran a 63 yard touchdown. It was one of
the many spirit breakers of the night. It was time for us to return the favor, we came out on offense
on the 20 yard line. We had 80 yards to go, and it felt more like 1,000. With all the rain we couldn't
pass the ball, so we handed the ball off to our all–star running back Terrence Hill, we drove the ball
56 yards on 6 plays. We were doing great until all of a sudden nothing went right for us. We got
stuffed at the line of scrimmage on the next two plays and then, the

Alter G Research Paper
NASA has always had the best equipment available to them when training their astronauts to live in
a reduced gravity environment. Now their equipment is being used to help treat and prevent many
different sports injuries. The Alter–G anti–gravity treadmill is being implemented in many
rehabilitation centers for use as sports injury therapy. What is the Alter–G? The Alter–G has a
similar design to the basic treadmill. It has an airtight skirt that surrounds the unit, which the
operator can inflate into a bubble. From there, air pressure can be decreased or increased so that it
counters the weight of the user. Runners get the same effect that an astronaut would, which is how it
feels to run in lower gravity. The Alter–G is allowing sports medicine doctors to rehabilitate patients
who have suffered from strokes and brain injuries, as well as many other medical problems. It can
be used in a sports medicine clinic for professional sports training and has the ability to benefit users
greatly. How the Alter–G Works ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Alter–G allows patients to run freely without any discomfort. There are given shorts that are
designed to fit over their clothing. These are then slipped straight into the ring of the skirt. This
creates an airtight seal. When the skirt becomes inflated, the patient can walk and run on the
treadmill as they normally would. The control center can be found outside on an exterior frame.
Why the Alter–G Works This treadmill is being used mainly to help train professional athletes to the
best of their ability. The treadmill helps the athletes because it allows them to run faster and longer
than they could on a regular treadmill. When the body weight of the runner is lowered, the
cardiovascular system is pushed, causing the runner to increase their stamina. Longer training
sessions are now possible due to the Alter–G system. Sports Injury

Persuasive Essay On Training A Dog
In this day and age, you have a myriad options for training your dog available to you. In fact, the
difficulty is more often deciding which approach will be the most effective in training your
particular dog (and the method that will mesh the best with your particular situation). Now that
you've decided that you're going to put the effort into training your dog and that the effort is worth
the results you know you'll get, it is time to decide what kind of training program you will use.
Private Training This type of training involves paying an hourly rate for one–on–one with a
professional dog trainer at some sort of training facility (or perhaps in your home for a higher price
rate). This can be an extremely effective method of training your dog. Because you are there with
your dog, you are shown exactly what movements and actions to take and your dog benefits from a
professional hand. However, this training is easily the most expensive, because professional trainers
often charge 20, 40, or even up to 100 dollars an hour for their expertise. In addition, if you don't
find a trainer who is knowledgeable enough to deal with all of your dog's tendencies or if you
simply don't "click" with your trainer, your time and money can easily slip down the drain with very
little observable results. Also, working extensively with another trainer has the potential to confuse
your dog as to who he/she should actually respond to. When this happens, sometimes dogs who
behave very well

How Football Changed My Life Essay
As the ball is spinning through the air on that frigid, airy night, it's like a momentary pause as we all

knocked down and out. Everyone has an impactful moment in their life. Mine just happened to be an
actual impact. An impact to my head that also just happened to have a bigger impact on my life than
I ever could have imagined, probably because I don't remember much from that day. As the final

I? What was the score? And what just happened? Little did I know that my team had just been

confused. On the ride home my coach told me, "you might as well have been on a football field
because you just got drilled like you had shoulder pads and a helmet on," yet I had no protection.
Just like in life we prepare ourselves as much as possible but sometimes we don't have the
protection we need and we never knew it until it was too late. The next day I got video clips of the

Moving your Body to Maximize the Loss
My FOE philosophy stands for "Feet on Elliptical," it is a mindset that incorporates a plan, or

Taking a day off at this stage is giving Bobby Fatz an excuse to creep in and pollute the mind, or

Mr. B Runner: A Short Story
Mr. Brunner was a modern day buissnessman, who always wore a blue button– up shirt, black pants
and a grey coat. He lived alone in the suburbs all by himself close to the city. He didn't like living

While he was walking home, he saw an old shelter. Then, as he walked closer, he heard timid

As the film begins within the first minute or so the viewer is presented with haunting music and a

Inserting an audio clip that is this horrifying at the beginning of the documentary the audience
completely shocks the viewers and catches them off guard with something they never thought they
would hear. To hear that a professional trainer had been swallowed by one of their own orcas which
they spend a lot of time with is very frightening. Since this was place strategically at the start of the
documentary the viewers may have created hate for the orcas as they had just killed one of their own
kind. As an interview with the paramedic is shown and how the paramedic mentions that there was
no blood at all in the water as the trainer had been scalped can leave a sick feeling in your stomach
with how descriptive the death of trainer was. After viewers are done listening to the interview many
might question why humans would work with such dangerous animals like that and why they would
even be kept alive in captivity if they are able to cause that much harm to us. These audio recording
and interviews makes the viewers think about how tragic it was for an orca which had been kept in
captivity to kill a SeaWorld trainer.

There are many avenues a trainer can take to teach exercises to a dog using positive methods.
Starting from the simple exercises such as sit to more complex exercises like loose lead walking,

Many people would prefer their dog offer up a greeting behaviour where they sit patiently and wait
to say hello. In the past, the use of a compulsive method was used on the dog when they jumped up,
for example, kneeing the 'misbehaving' dog in the chest or stepping on their hind paws. To get the
dog to stop jumping up, I would have the owner standing with the dog and walk towards them
without talking or adding anything exciting, using negative punishment by ignoring or walking
away when the dog jumps up. If they don't jump up, mark and treat. After 5 successful completions,
I bump up the difficulty, I am still and the owner walks past with the dog (this is only after Loose
lead walking has become a trained behaviour). Then, I would continue bumping up the difficulty
until the dog is loose lead walking towards me and I can walk towards the dog acting excitedly
without them jumping up at me as we pass. Other methods include tethering the dog or distracting
and redirecting their attention to perform learned behaviours such as Sit and Down. The dog could
also be taught to Settle when they hear environmental cues such as the doorbell or the front door

One of the easiest behaviours, Sit, is usually one of the first exercises taught to pups. A Sit comes

abilities or their physical health. The method I would use first to teach a Sit is using luring, which
uses a primary reinforcer like food/treats to lure a dog into position (Miller, 2008). To lure a dog into
a sit, make sure you first have their attention and that they know you have a treat in your hand. Then
hold the treat near the dog's nose and slowly move it above the nose and back towards their tail,
luring them with the treat.
While it may seem easier to just physically move or place the into position, a compulsive method
called modelling, this a) will not teach them to think for themselves, b) might scare them and c) they
might not be offering the behaviour because they are in pain and pushing them into position might
be causing them pain (Miller, 2006).

I Woke At The Sound Of A Grandfather Clock

Mrs. Lensol was standing there with some clothes on her hand. "Good morning dear. Did you sleep

flooded the room. I sat up squinting then answered her, "I slept pretty good." I swallowed feeling
very parched at the moment. "Well then, here are some clothes. After you change, come down to the
kitchen for breakfast," she glanced at me one more time then walked out the door closing it behind
her. I yawned then stood up and started to change into the clothes she gave me. I had a simple dull

Explain Own Role and Responsibilities in Identifying and...
Explain own role and responsibilities in identifying and meeting the needs of the learners As a
teacher and trainer I have found that one of the simplest ways to make learning accessible to both
myself and to those I am teaching is by relating to real–life situations and circumstances that I have
faced. If one takes the approach of trying to memorise lists of facts of how to deal with First Aid
situations the information becomes more difficult to absorb and less likely to be retained. Context
can help provide a more intuitive framework for people's skills, whether it is as simple as telling a
story that can be recalled if and when relevant or even if it delves deeply enough to understand why
certain techniques are used in First Aid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All literature for the course can be checked beforehand (if necessary) to confirm the level of literacy.
Basic numeracy skills are essential to any professional career, though having a calculator on hand
can assist if a trainer does come into numerical difficulty. People skills are really the most important
and pressing skills to have as a teacher and I would suggest that a degree of psychological
understanding is implied within the definition of being a teacher/trainer. There is however, a big
difference between a nervous student and one with a medical condition that needs more specialised
help and in extreme cases referral to a medical professional would be required. Mentoring and being
a role model is equally implicit and should extend to all values of being a human being and not just
those related to First Aid. I believe that, in this regard, there can not be any real boundary to how a
teacher/trainer can act. List and describe the points of referral to meet the needs of the learners
There should be no need to signpost learners to someone with greater knowledge of First Aid, nor
should there be another trainer with more appropriate teaching style, as different teaching styles can
be used by anyone. If someone is struggling with a language barrier that seems insurmountable, a
trainer can recommend a different teacher who may be better able to communicate with a learner
(perhaps in a different language, by signing for a deaf student etc.) Religious restrictions may

gyms locally that I have attended or visited in recent weeks. In this paper I will refer to the gyms as
"Big gym" and "Small gym", I will also refer to the gym members by randomly selected names that
I've generated. This is to protect the identities of the of the businesses and gym members should the
reader by chance, know or be familiar with either the gyms or its members. The Big gym located 7
miles away from my place of residence, and the Small gym, which is located 20 miles away from
me, are the locations from which I conducted my data collections and analysis. The focus group of
my research consist of each gym's members. In this discussion, I hope to answer, why these
individuals prefer the Big or Small gym over the other to meet their fitness goals, and what plays a
role in their decision making. We will discuss the different kinds of norms that are played out in
both gyms, how they differ, and whether or not they play a role in a decision between gyms. Most of
us are familiar with the Big Gym, there is likely to be one more in your local area, they are also
called commercial gyms. They are easily recognizable due to their size, the number of employees,
and the number of members attending. They usually have more than one location and seem to be
driven more by how many members they can acquire than on the personal care of the individual
member. You may or may

My Accomplishments Of Employee Appraisal
Employee Comments: An employee self–assessment is an important part of a yearly performance
appraisal and it is created for the employer to see this employee's achievements. October 10, 2015
marked my fifth year with this company and I consider this a significant accomplishment. Over the
last five years, I have been able to meet the needs of the company despite of the constant changes to
include: the use of two new systems (CMS, Avaya Chat). Throughout this review period, I received
numerous awards recognizing me for teamwork, flexibility, professionalism and customer service. I
was promoted into the role of a triage consultant II in the month of August. And in the month of
September, I was promoted into my current role of program trainer. ... Show more content on

Flexibility: There are times when team meetings and other events interfere with call volume. Often
times, I reach out to my supervisor to offer my wiliness to be flexible during times of increased call
volumes. Because of this, I was recognized by my supervisor for being willing to change my
schedule to meet the needs of the company.
As the program trainer, I have demonstrated my ability to be flexible by participant with remote
trainings, changing my schedule to meet business needs, and traveling to the Chesapeake
engagement centers in order to complete trainings.
Professionalism and Customer Service: In the triage consultant's role, I offer excellent customer
service to all participants and exceptional professionalism to my co–workers. Despite the pressures
of maintaining the call volume expectations, I was able to continue excellent customer service. As I
greet participants that call, I ensured that participants were feeling comfortable with providing
information, especially confidential information. I introduced myself and ask for their contact
information in a pleasant and welcoming manner. For example, I said statements including: "my
pleasure" and "I would be more than happy to assist." Those statements often alleviated some of the
pressure of providing information for the participants. I also took the time to identify participants'
needs by asking questions and

  • 14. Cross Training Modalities As A Form Of Injury Prevention Implementing cross training modalities as a form of injury prevention is a common practice among endurance runners. Lower extremity injury rates among runners have been observed at rates between 19.4% and 79.3% annually, specifically categorized as chronic overuse injuries (van Gent, et al., 2007; Hoeberigs, J.H., 1992). Additionally, it is suggested that approximately 60% of chronic injuries can be attributed to increasing training volume too suddenly (Hreljac, 2004). It has been thought that multiple different cross training modalities can be a reasonable low–impact substitute of aerobic exercise (Burns, & Lauder, 2001; Lu, Chien and Chen, 2007; Kilding, Scott, and Mullineax, 2007). Many methods of cross training have been used as a substitute to running, including elliptical exercise (EE), deep water running (DWR), swimming, and stationary cycling (Foster et al., 1995; Lu et al., 2007; Pizza et al., 1995; Sozen, 2010). When coaches and rehabilitation specialists prescribe certain forms of cross training, many factors must be considered when deciding which will be most beneficial. The specificity of training principles suggests that relevant activities should be done in order to gain results in the primary activity. Cross training is an activity that is used to improve the performance of one sport by training in an additional one, contrary to what the specificity principle would imply for preferred practices (Kilding, Scott, & Mullineaux, 2007; Masumoto, Bryon, & Mercer, ... • 18. Evaluation Of The Training Evaluation Process Essay Introduction The training evaluation process is a necessary assessment of the benefits that the organization and the trainee receive from training (Phillips, 2016), while the performance evaluation is an appraisal process geared to improve employee's performance and skills after training (Gomez–Mejia, Balkin, & Cardy, 2016, p. 206). These two assessment processes are critical for examining the effectiveness of training and hiring process for the "Wines of the World" class dinner (or the Dinner) at the University of Denver. Partnered with the African Community Center of the Ethiopian Community Development Council (ECDC/ACC) who provides Commercial Food Safety and Service (CFaSST) courses to help refugees get training in the hospitality industry and ultimately find a job, Knoebel School hired CFaSST students to serve the dinner as the capstone for the course. Aware of the various cultural background and English ability of the CFaSST students, students in human capital class designed customized hiring processes and individualized training and performance evaluation programs to maximize every CFaSST student's potential. Upon the successful hosting of the event, the trainer determines that the training program for lead server Zahra was overall successful, and the performance evaluation indicates that Zahra's performance was well above expectation with possible future development in communication and leadership. • 26. Essay on Biography of Johann Elert Bode Johann Elert Bode was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 19, 1747. His father was a merchant and his mother stayed at home with him and his eight younger brothers and sisters. Bode never went to formal school, but his father was determined to teach him how to be a great merchant. However, Bode didn't want to become a merchant. He was very interested in mathematics, geography, and astrology. He decided to go against what his father was teaching him and pursue a career in Astrology instead. When Bode was a child he had a nasty eye infection that caused him to lose most of his sight in his right eye. This didn't keep him from his studies or his astrological findings. When Bode was 18 his father died of a serious illness. After this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Uranus was later found and its number is 19. Bode's law can not, however, accurately give the correct answer for Neptune and Pluto. While Bode's name is in the name of the law he was not the person who created it. He was only the person who popularized it. Johann Daniel Titius was actually the first person to first announce it. Bode had written about it in one of his studies but he had not credited Titius for his works, so people just assumed that it was Bode's findings. Bode later gave Titius the credit he deserved, hence the second name of the law, Bode–Titius Law. Bode has many other contributions to astronomy. He found, in total, four different celestial bodies and "rediscovered" three others. He discovered M81, a spiral galaxy in Ursa Major; M82, an irregular galaxy also in Ursa Major; M53, a globular cluster in Coma Berenices; M92, another globular cluster, in Hercules; M64, a spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices, this one was discovered by Edward Pigott then Bode rediscovered it 12 days later; M48, an open cluster in Hydra, discovered by Charles Messier; and IC4665, an open open cluster in Ophiuchus, discovered by De Cheseaux. Also, in 1776 Bode created his version of the theory of the solar constitution. Later in 1795, Sir William Herschel created his theory of the theory of the solar constitution by tweaking Bode's version to fit his beliefs. Bode is the man whom came up with the planet name "Uranus" and it has been called that ever since. Bode had many ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, this is an ideal stride length for average to above average users. The stride is elongated, which is what you want with an elliptical. • 42. Descriptive Essay About Soccer The school bus finally arrived at Desert Mirage High School where my team and I got off and prepared for our soccer game. The sky was somewhat cloudy, so it must have rained before we got there because as soon as I stepped on to the field, I could smell the fresh grass and the wet dirt. We started off with our usual warm ups which was a lap around the field, followed with a variety of stretches, foot skills, and a shooting drills. After we were all finished our coach gathered us up to decide what the setup was going to be. I was not part of the group in the first half that played; however, we couldn't have started any better. The first half of the game is forty–five minutes and by the twentieth minute the score was three to zero. As the first half came to an end I was excited and filled with joy because we had the lead. Our coach decided to switch the placement of people and ended placing me into the second play. When I stepped onto the field I felt a rush of excitement, yet a hand full of nerves. My teammate Denise and I were set as forwards with her on the right side and me on the left side. We started off with the ball in the middle, and as soon as the referee blew the whistle Denise sprinted to the right side of the field and I kicked the ball hard enough for it to reach her. Denise was struggling between two defenders of the other team when our midfielder, Anial, ran to help her. In that moment, Denise pushed the ball forward for Anial to take it and move towards the ... • 62. Personal Narrative Of Soccer Comeback–Prone I've broken bones, sprained joints, and strained muscles. It would be an understatement to call me injury–prone. Soccer, the sport I love, has been a two edged sword. Along with all of adrenaline filled fun, the lifelong friendships, and invaluable learning opportunities, comes unforgettable mistakes, devastating losses, and the seemingly infinite hours of hard work. None of those drawbacks were as trying and painful as when I tore my ACL. I remember that day almost too vividly. It was an deceptively beautiful fall morning. It was the opening game of the first tournament my team participated in that 2016 season. I had the ball between my feet and I had an opponent on my back. In an attempt to evade him, I quickly and almost effortlessly cut the ball from my left foot to my right. As I planted my left foot, I stepped into a small divot in the poorly kept field. This proved to be costly. With someone right behind me, I landed on the uneven ground with the pressure of both my weight and his push on my left knee. I instantly heard a slightly audible pop like a cork being released from a tightly sealed bottle. I dropped almost instantaneously as my knee felt unstable and pain rushed to the location of the pop. I groaned in nearly unbearable agony as I lied with my back down in the dew covered grass. I am not the type of person to draw attention to myself, but in this situation, attention was unavoidable. On May 24/2016 was orientation, the following days were when training would start. My sister Andrea was also starting the same day in my training class actually. I was scared for my life, considering it was my first job and the fact that I had to do all the paperwork, interviews, computer test, and the drug test without my mother beside me, made me feel super nervous. I then realized that that decision was just the first step for me to become an independent teen. Earning my own money and being able to help myself buy some school materials. It will include some graphic details, a deeper look into my thoughts and feelings, and much more. This is the story that helped change my whole mindset of football. This is what Friday night lights is all about. During the last football season, I suffered an injury that I thought was going to affect me in such a negative way. But it turns out, even though it was one of the most painful things I've experienced, it ended up being one of the best things to happen to me. My whole mindset on the game of football changed for the better, and it made me into the great player I am today. It was homecoming night against the powerhouse Taylorville, it was cold, rainy, and the field turned into a swamp of mud, sweat, and blood. It was time for the game to start. Taylorville came out on offense and on the very first play of the game, Parker Stokes ran a 63 yard touchdown. It was one of the many spirit breakers of the night. It was time for us to return the favor, we came out on offense on the 20 yard line. We had 80 yards to go, and it felt more like 1,000. With all the rain we couldn't pass the ball, so we handed the ball off to our all–star running back Terrence Hill, we drove the ball 56 yards on 6 plays. Now their equipment is being used to help treat and prevent many different sports injuries. The Alter–G anti–gravity treadmill is being implemented in many rehabilitation centers for use as sports injury therapy. What is the Alter–G? The Alter–G has a similar design to the basic treadmill. It has an airtight skirt that surrounds the unit, which the operator can inflate into a bubble. From there, air pressure can be decreased or increased so that it counters the weight of the user. Runners get the same effect that an astronaut would, which is how it feels to run in lower gravity. The Alter–G is allowing sports medicine doctors to rehabilitate patients who have suffered from strokes and brain injuries, as well as many other medical problems. It can be used in a sports medicine clinic for professional sports training and has the ability to benefit users greatly. How the Alter–G Works ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Why the Alter–G Works This treadmill is being used mainly to help train professional athletes to the best of their ability. The treadmill helps the athletes because it allows them to run faster and longer than they could on a regular treadmill. • 108. Persuasive Essay On Training A Dog In this day and age, you have a myriad options for training your dog available to you. In fact, the difficulty is more often deciding which approach will be the most effective in training your particular dog (and the method that will mesh the best with your particular situation). Now that you've decided that you're going to put the effort into training your dog and that the effort is worth the results you know you'll get, it is time to decide what kind of training program you will use. Private Training This type of training involves paying an hourly rate for one–on–one with a professional dog trainer at some sort of training facility (or perhaps in your home for a higher price rate). This can be an extremely effective method of training your dog. Because you are there with your dog, you are shown exactly what movements and actions to take and your dog benefits from a professional hand. However, this training is easily the most expensive, because professional trainers often charge 20, 40, or even up to 100 dollars an hour for their expertise. In addition, if you don't find a trainer who is knowledgeable enough to deal with all of your dog's tendencies or if you simply don't "click" with your trainer, your time and money can easily slip down the drain with very little observable results. Also, working extensively with another trainer has the potential to confuse your dog as to who he/she should actually respond to. When this happens, sometimes dogs who behave very well ... • 116. Essay About The Fight Felix zones off as he is receiving his instructions. The trainer slaps him back into reality, clearly angered by his behavior. Then, the referee goes to sound the gong. BONG! BONG! BONG! ROUND 1. The crowd is quiet as the brothers circle the center, looking for a position to strike. Suddenly, Antonio rushes close and throws a distant punch. Felix easily dodges. "Good luck." they say at the same time. "You may have dodged that, but be ready for this next one." Taunts Antonio, clearly showing no mercy. Felix doesn't care, and instead focuses on the fight, deciding not giving in on the first round. The count chants Antonio's name as he throws a few more punches, Felix only getting hit by one or two of Antonio's power–packed punches. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Felix goes to flatten Antonio's face, but Antonio is saved by the bell. BANG! BANG! BANG! As round two ends. The two head back to their corners. "Wow, you almost won that. Antonio looks a little fatigued after what you almost did to him. But so do you, so maybe gain a little strength back at the beginning, ok?" questions Joe. "Easy." says Felix feeling assertive. Over in Antonio's corner, his trainer shouts at him, showing anger and disgust, "Boy, step it down a level! He knows you're fatigued, and you won't win if you don't rest during the start." But Antonio doesn't listen. As the doctor gives a thumbs up to verify that the two boxers are good to fight, the gong rings as the third and final round starts up. The crowd is shouting the two fighters names, fighting with their words. Felix and Antonio step into the square. Antonio rushes at Felix, ignoring his trainers advice. Felix dodges the first punch by a thread, but then gets punched in the nose right after. The crowd cheers. Thirty seconds later, Felix closes in on Antonio, pounding his face with multiple blasts from his fists. He lures Antonio to the other side of the square, getting ready for the knockout. "See you on the other side, amigo (friend)." Says Felix, right as he slams his fist into Antonio's temple, knocking him out. The referee stops the round, and shouts, "And the winner is...! • 120. How Football Changed My Life Essay As the ball is spinning through the air on that frigid, airy night, it's like a momentary pause as we all wait for it to drop. As the ball comes down, I go up and just as I believe I have won the ball; I am knocked down and out. Everyone has an impactful moment in their life. Mine just happened to be an actual impact. An impact to my head that also just happened to have a bigger impact on my life than I ever could have imagined, probably because I don't remember much from that day. As the final whistle blew and my team had lost the game, I was lost in deep thoughts inside my head. Where was I? What was the score? And what just happened? Little did I know that my team had just been knocked out of the State bracket and as we all piled onto the bus I sat in my seat dazed and confused. On the ride home my coach told me, "you might as well have been on a football field because you just got drilled like you had shoulder pads and a helmet on," yet I had no protection. Just like in life we prepare ourselves as much as possible but sometimes we don't have the protection we need and we never knew it until it was too late. The next day I got video clips of the hit and as I watched the replays of the collision I couldn't turn my eyes from the screen. Honestly it hurt my head ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moving your Body to Maximize the Loss My FOE philosophy stands for "Feet on Elliptical," it is a mindset that incorporates a plan, or regime, that trains and tones the body by accelerating fat loss and increasing the metabolic rate. You're not losing weight by taking days off from your routine, your heart isn't taking a day off. Taking a day off at this stage is giving Bobby Fatz an excuse to creep in and pollute the mind, or cast doubt on your will power. Resist that temptation and develop a strong routine. 12 Surefire Ways to Improve Your Elliptical Workout Results Bobby stepped on the elliptical machine and began to move his feet in the circular motion; he occasionally slouches over the machine, keeping a nice steady forward rate, while hanging on to the stationary bar. Bobby chose to not use the moveable hand rails and he slowly continued for 30 minutes before calling it a day. I shook my head, "Bobby good work, but let's go over a few items to maximize your time on the machine." He looked over with a blank look on his face, "How did I mess up already?" In his best discouraged tone. "You didn't mess up but you can get more out of the workout. Let me explain and show you." 1. Take the time to get acquainted with the machine, its movement, its computer programs, and its capabilities. If you are at a health club ask for assistance and a demonstration from a trainer. If you are at home, or have access elsewhere, take the time to educate yourself with the machine. Explore the manufacture's website for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He lived alone in the suburbs all by himself close to the city. He didn't like living alone, and he wasn't married. While he was walking home, he saw an old shelter. Then, as he walked closer, he heard timid whimpers from outside. He peeked through the metal cage, and saw a dog all alone with no others around him. Huh that's weird... Mr. Brunner thought. Mr. Brunner bent down and read the golden medallion on the dog's neck. The medallion said Shadow. He took the dog home and settled down on the couch, tired from a hard day at work. As the film begins within the first minute or so the viewer is presented with haunting music and a pitch black screen white while audio of numerous calls that are being made to the police about an orca who has eaten a trainer at SeaWorld. The film puts viewers on edge by using the dark background and music and the call between the dispatcher and a SeaWorld trainer. While an underwater video is being played of an orca the audience is led to believe that they will see an orca which will attack a SeaWorld trainer, but then we soon find out it is just a show between a trainer and an orca. Inserting an audio clip that is this horrifying at the beginning of the documentary the audience completely shocks the viewers and catches them off guard with something they never thought they would hear. To hear that a professional trainer had been swallowed by one of their own orcas which they spend a lot of time with is very frightening. Since this was place strategically at the start of the documentary the viewers may have created hate for the orcas as they had just killed one of their own kind. As an interview with the paramedic is shown and how the paramedic mentions that there was no blood at all in the water as the trainer had been scalped can leave a sick feeling in your stomach with how descriptive the death of trainer was. After viewers are done listening to the interview many might question why humans would work with such dangerous animals like that and why they would even be kept alive in captivity if they are able to cause that much harm to us. These audio recording and interviews makes the viewers think about how tragic it was for an orca which had been kept in captivity to kill a SeaWorld trainer. To gain ... Starting from the simple exercises such as sit to more complex exercises like loose lead walking, different methods are more suited to each exercise in order to efficiently reinforce the exercise to become a learned behaviour. This essay will cover five basic exercises – sit, down, loose lead walking, greeting behaviour and leave it – and the methods a trainer could use to teach them. One of the easiest behaviours, Sit, is usually one of the first exercises taught to pups. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many people would prefer their dog offer up a greeting behaviour where they sit patiently and wait to say hello. In the past, the use of a compulsive method was used on the dog when they jumped up, for example, kneeing the 'misbehaving' dog in the chest or stepping on their hind paws. To get the dog to stop jumping up, I would have the owner standing with the dog and walk towards them without talking or adding anything exciting, using negative punishment by ignoring or walking away when the dog jumps up. If they don't jump up, mark and treat. After 5 successful completions, I bump up the difficulty, I am still and the owner walks past with the dog (this is only after Loose lead walking has become a trained behaviour). Then, I would continue bumping up the difficulty until the dog is loose lead walking towards me and I can walk towards the dog acting excitedly without them jumping up at me as we pass. Other methods include tethering the dog or distracting and redirecting their attention to perform learned behaviours such as Sit and Down. The dog could also be taught to Settle when they hear environmental cues such as the doorbell or the front door ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One of the easiest behaviours, Sit, is usually one of the first exercises taught to pups. A Sit comes naturally to most dogs, although for some may find this position uncomfortable due to breed specific abilities or their physical health. The method I would use first to teach a Sit is using luring, which uses a primary reinforcer like food/treats to lure a dog into position (Miller, 2008). To lure a dog into a sit, make sure you first have their attention and that they know you have a treat in your hand. Then hold the treat near the dog's nose and slowly move it above the nose and back towards their tail, luring them with the treat. While it may seem easier to just physically move or place the into position, a compulsive method called modelling, this a) will not teach them to think for themselves, b) might scare them and c) they might not be offering the behaviour because they are in pain and pushing them into position might be causing them pain (Miller, 2006). I layed in the bed too lazy to get up until I heard the door slowly creak open. I turned my head and Mrs. Lensol was standing there with some clothes on her hand. "Good morning dear. Did you sleep well?" she asked while moving towards the blinds. She flung them open and blinding sunlight flooded the room. I sat up squinting then answered her, "I slept pretty good." I swallowed feeling very parched at the moment. "Well then, here are some clothes. After you change, come down to the kitchen for breakfast," she glanced at me one more time then walked out the door closing it behind her. I yawned then stood up and started to change into the clothes she gave me. I had a simple dull green shirt with a pair of old jeans that had a few holes in it. I sighed then put them on wishing I was back at home with my family. I took another look around the room then walked out, shutting the door. As I made my way downstairs, I followed my nose to the kitchen to see a plate of eggs and bacon waiting for me. Mrs. Lensol was at the kitchen sink washing dishes. When she saw me she smiled and motioned to my breakfast, "Eat quickly dear, Lexie is waiting for you outside." I sat down and started eating. I stopped chewing for a moment and asked, "Mrs. Lensol, why is Lexie waiting for me outside?" Without looking up she cleared her throat and replied, "To start your training of course. I will not ... Explain own role and responsibilities in identifying and meeting the needs of the learners As a teacher and trainer I have found that one of the simplest ways to make learning accessible to both myself and to those I am teaching is by relating to real–life situations and circumstances that I have faced. If one takes the approach of trying to memorise lists of facts of how to deal with First Aid situations the information becomes more difficult to absorb and less likely to be retained. Context can help provide a more intuitive framework for people's skills, whether it is as simple as telling a story that can be recalled if and when relevant or even if it delves deeply enough to understand why certain techniques are used in First Aid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All literature for the course can be checked beforehand (if necessary) to confirm the level of literacy. Basic numeracy skills are essential to any professional career, though having a calculator on hand can assist if a trainer does come into numerical difficulty. People skills are really the most important and pressing skills to have as a teacher and I would suggest that a degree of psychological understanding is implied within the definition of being a teacher/trainer. There is however, a big difference between a nervous student and one with a medical condition that needs more specialised help and in extreme cases referral to a medical professional would be required. Mentoring and being a role model is equally implicit and should extend to all values of being a human being and not just those related to First Aid. I believe that, in this regard, there can not be any real boundary to how a teacher/trainer can act. List and describe the points of referral to meet the needs of the learners There should be no need to signpost learners to someone with greater knowledge of First Aid, nor should there be another trainer with more appropriate teaching style, as different teaching styles can be used by anyone. If someone is struggling with a language barrier that seems insurmountable, a trainer can recommend a different teacher who may be better able to communicate with a learner (perhaps in a different language, by signing for a deaf student etc.) Religious restrictions may ... Traditional Gyms And Small Gym In this ethnography paper, I chose to study both large, commercial gyms and small, privately owned gyms locally that I have attended or visited in recent weeks. In this paper I will refer to the gyms as "Big gym" and "Small gym", I will also refer to the gym members by randomly selected names that I've generated. This is to protect the identities of the of the businesses and gym members should the reader by chance, know or be familiar with either the gyms or its members. The Big gym located 7 miles away from my place of residence, and the Small gym, which is located 20 miles away from me, are the locations from which I conducted my data collections and analysis. The focus group of my research consist of each gym's members. In this discussion, I hope to answer, why these individuals prefer the Big or Small gym over the other to meet their fitness goals, and what plays a role in their decision making. We will discuss the different kinds of norms that are played out in both gyms, how they differ, and whether or not they play a role in a decision between gyms. Most of us are familiar with the Big Gym, there is likely to be one more in your local area, they are also called commercial gyms. They are easily recognizable due to their size, the number of employees, and the number of members attending.
