A. Activity
The students will group themselves into five members. Within 3 minutes, they will
ask one another their daily allowance Budget. Then, after they gather the data, they will
write them down on a piece ofpaper.
B. Analysis

C. Abstraction
From the gathered data, students shall compute the mean with the given formula.

Mean is one ofthe measures ofCentral Tendency which is defined as summing
up the data values and dividing by the number ofdata values.

Boys
Students will group themselves according to their gender and they will getthe
measurementof their heightusing the meter stick. Then, they will solve the mean of the
group.
Set B
Students will group themselves according to their gender and they will getthe
measurementof their weightusing weighing scale. Then, they will solve the mean of the
group.

The following distributions are the scores in Periodical TestofGrade 8 -Silang in Science,
Math and English.

A. School Linkages
a. Interview 10 students and gather the following data.
1. Number of heartbeats per 60 seconds
2. Standing Long Jump
b. Compute the Mean of each data
c. Put your data on a 1 whole size ofpaper. Make sure to write their name and affix their
signature.
B. Community Linkages
a. Interview 10 People in your community. Itcan be your family, relatives, or neighbors.
b. Ask their occupation and their salary received per month.
c. Put the information on a long bond paper with their affix signature.
d. Compute the mean of their salary.
e. Answer the following question on a separate bond paper.
Questions:
1. What have you observed to the salary received by the persons with their nature of work?
2. Does the nature of work greatly affect to the monthly salary receive by the person? Why?
3. As a student, what are your step-by-step process or career path for you to receive a good
salary? Illustrate your answer through ladder diagram.
4. Is finishing your studies enough for you to have a good living and to make your life more
convenientand more comfortable? If no, what are the values you should have for you to
achieve your goals in life?

A week before the discussion of this lesson, I
asked my students what subject areas they found
most challenging and what areas they were easier to
comprehend. Majority of them said that Math and
Science were the two subjects they found difficult
while TLE, Aral Pan and ESP were the areas they
found lighter. Thus, I incorporated my Math Lesson to
these subject areas.
In my first activity, I incorporated TLE specifically,
the Table Setting and Computer Hardware, I knew
these two concepts were quite familiar with my
students as they always encounter these things in
their daily life.
To make the activity more challenging , I put up the
Science Lesson specially the Laboratory Apparatus
for I knew, some of my students were heard these
things for the first time.
To catch my students' interest and enthusiasm to
learn, I related the concept of my topic to a
relationship or love life. I added some hugot lines for I
noticed that in every time I crack a joke , my class
feels alive and less lethargic. Hence, the values
integration applied in my Math lesson.
In addition , I integrated my lesson to Araling
Panlipunan which involved a community and a family.
Through this, I made my lesson lighter and easier to
comprehend.
My students were also engaged with one another as
they asked their classmates' birthdays . I heard lately
that some students were fighting each other over
small things so, to make them closer and more
comfortable to one another, I put up this activity for
this purpose.
I ended my lesson by giving them assignment to ask
and to interview the community member about the
nature of their work , salary per month and number of
hours of work. I let them do this activity not only for
the integration of Math lesson, but also to make them
realize the importance of education in their life. I want
them to reflect that finishing their studies make them
more comfortable and more convenient in living.

  • 2. I. Intended Learning Outcomes Through varied learning activities, the grade 8 students with at least80 % ofaccuracy shall able to: 1. Restate the formula of the mean of ungrouped data 2. Share data from one another to gather the data values 3. Solve the mean ofthe ungrouped data that they will gather 4. Interpret carefully the computed mean II. Learning Content A. SubjectMatter Arithmetic Mean of Ungrouped Data B. Skill Focus Gathering, Solving and Interpreting C. Reference Spiral Math 8 by Jose Maria L. Escaner and et. al., pages 207 โ€“ 209 Advanced Algebra, Trigonometry and Statistics IV by Soledad Jose โ€“Dilao and et. al., pages 258- 259, Math Learnersโ€™ Module 8 D. Materials Visual aids, meter sticks, weighing scale, chalkboard,Projector and strips ofpaper III. Learning Experiences A. Activity The students will group themselves into five members. Within 3 minutes, they will ask one another their daily allowance Budget. Then, after they gather the data, they will write them down on a piece ofpaper. B. Analysis ๏‚ท What did you discover in the activity with regards ofyour classmatesโ€™ allowance? ๏‚ท What have you observed to the data you gathered? ๏‚ท How will you find the average budgetallowance ofyour group? C. Abstraction From the gathered data, students shall compute the mean with the given formula.   • 3. D. Application Boys Students will group themselves according to their gender and they will getthe measurementof their heightusing the meter stick. Then, they will solve the mean of the group. Set B Students will group themselves according to their gender and they will getthe measurementof their weightusing weighing scale. Then, they will solve the mean of the group. IV. Evaluation The following distributions are the scores in Periodical TestofGrade 8 -Silang in Science, Math and English. Science Math English 35 20 35 20 16 23 25 18 29 25 29 29 E. Assignment A. School Linkages a. Interview 10 students and gather the following data. 1. Number of heartbeats per 60 seconds 2. Standing Long Jump b. Compute the Mean of each data c. Put your data on a 1 whole size ofpaper. Make sure to write their name and affix their signature. B. Community Linkages a. Interview 10 People in your community. Itcan be your family, relatives, or neighbors. b. Ask their occupation and their salary received per month. c. Put the information on a long bond paper with their affix signature. d. Compute the mean of their salary. e. Answer the following question on a separate bond paper. Questions: 1. What have you observed to the salary received by the persons with their nature of work? 2. Does the nature of work greatly affect to the monthly salary receive by the person? Why? 3. As a student, what are your step-by-step process or career path for you to receive a good salary? Illustrate your answer through ladder diagram. 4. Is finishing your studies enough for you to have a good living and to make your life more convenientand more comfortable? If no, what are the values you should have for you to achieve your goals in life? Guidelines: A. Solve the meanof each subject B. Compare the meanof each subject. a. What subjectdoesthe classperformbest? b. What subjectdoesthe classperformleast? C. Interpretyourdata bymaking a conclusion.
  • 4. Objectives Means of Verification Annotations 1. Applied Knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas โ— Classroom observation tool (COT) rating sheet and / or inter-observer agreement from about knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas โ— Detailed Lesson Plan developed highlighting integration of content knowledge within and across subject areas A week before the discussion of this lesson, I asked my students what subject areas they found most challenging and what areas they were easier to comprehend. Majority of them said that Math and Science were the two subjects they found difficult while TLE, Aral Pan and ESP were the areas they found lighter. Thus, I incorporated my Math Lesson to these subject areas. In my first activity, I incorporated TLE specifically, the Table Setting and Computer Hardware, I knew these two concepts were quite familiar with my students as they always encounter these things in their daily life. To make the activity more challenging , I put up the Science Lesson specially the Laboratory Apparatus for I knew, some of my students were heard these things for the first time. To catch my students' interest and enthusiasm to learn, I related the concept of my topic to a relationship or love life. I added some hugot lines for I noticed that in every time I crack a joke , my class feels alive and less lethargic. Hence, the values integration applied in my Math lesson. In addition , I integrated my lesson to Araling Panlipunan which involved a community and a family. Through this, I made my lesson lighter and easier to comprehend. My students were also engaged with one another as they asked their classmates' birthdays . I heard lately that some students were fighting each other over small things so, to make them closer and more comfortable to one another, I put up this activity for this purpose. I ended my lesson by giving them assignment to ask and to interview the community member about the nature of their work , salary per month and number of hours of work. I let them do this activity not only for the integration of Math lesson, but also to make them realize the importance of education in their life. I want them to reflect that finishing their studies make them more comfortable and more convenient in living.
