In my opinion if you would have asked me this one year ago if there was afterlife, I would of told you no. Once upon a time I believe when you die
you stay in the ground and your soul would stay there as well. I couldn't imagine that there was a hell, heaven (paradise to some) or even a purgatory.
That all change a few month ago when I learn that some people and some religion might believe what they want to. In this essay I have picked three
religion Islam, Judaism, and Christianity to explain what each of them have and to be able to show the similarity and difference among them about the

No one know really know how the Heaven looks like only to be known as a wonderful and beautiful place. There is also a place that most Christian
Catholic believe if you aren't meant to be sent to Hell or Heaven, there is a third place to be sent to call Purgatory. Purgatory is where most Christians
stay until called for to see if they deserve to be in the heaven. The Protestants do not believe in purgatory. Now all we have to worry about is when
we die, let hope we have no sin and that for our past sins where wash away and those who did not serve God and have god in their life, will be
judged by their deeds. As for Judaism, there is no forever between good souls and evil souls which in other religion such as Christianity and Islam.
Judaism believe that the devil can be in heaven. As for Judaism they believe that death is not the end of human life. However, they are more focus
on life now then think about the afterlife. They can believe whatever they want to believe but the souls of the good people who have die will go to
similar heaven or to some they will be that reincarnated, or some will wait until the coming of the "messiah" , where they will be able to relive.
Unlike other Judaism Jews they believe that the evil souls will be torture by demons of their own thoughts, or that evil souls will die and not to live

It is not often that they come to terms with one another, in the case of Science the feud is predominantly fueled because of the stories in the Bible. A
majority of society sees these stories as far–fetched and hard to comprehend with the reasoning being because science needs proof for it to be believed.

Despite these big foreign religions, there is another type of religion which branches into several smaller versions which attracts much of the American
public. This religion is called Christianity and within Christianity is several smaller branches like, Methodism, Baptism, or Episcopalian but; two of the
biggest branches of this complex religion are Catholicism and Protestantism. If one were to closely examine these two faiths then they will find that
they both have the same objective which is to lead more people to God. However, there are many differences between these two multifarious faiths.
Differences between these two faiths include differences in their origins, how these two faiths came into existence. There are also smaller differences
that exist, for example the use of holy water, celibacy and nuns, the use of communion, belief in purgatory, and use of scriptures. Despite these smaller
differences one can clearly see the two of the major differences that truly make these two faiths completely differential. Two of the major differences
that exist between these two faiths are the belief of how one will acquire salvation and what the afterlife will be like.

From this he gained much fame and wealth, and is later crowned king of the Geats. After 50 years, a dragon comes to exact vengeance on Beowulf's
kingdom for a stolen treasure. Beowulf and his servant, Wiglaf, set off to kill the dragon. Beowulf succeeds in killing the dragon, but is killed in
the process. Wiglaf takes over as king for his heroic actions and a great funeral is placed in Beowulf's honor for his heroism. This poem is very
peculiar when is comes to the overriding religion and culture of the time. When Beowulf was recited in Mead halls back in Anglo–Saxon time, the
culture of Paganism showed through, however, when it was written down for the first time, it was in a new era. The era of Christianity. This switch from

many objects or people that they treasured. For some, their conversion started due to their family's influences since they were young. But, none of the
mentioned situations are the same as my testimony. My experience with Christianity and my relationship with Jesus and the church is day–and–night
different from everyone I had encountered. My relationship with Jesus was almost nonexistent fifteen years ago. I knew who Jesus was and what
He did generally, but I did not believe that He was real. Before I came to Cornerstone Christian Academy and learned about Christianity, I viewed
Jesus as a fictional character that people mindlessly put their hope and faith in. I rationalized my belief by thinking of how the world I lived in was

Christianity vs. Islam Islam and Christianity have a lot in common than most people recognize. Analyzing both religions in pre–modern, modern, and
post–modern to see where their similarities lie and what makes them so different. Pre–modernist are people who hold strong conservative beliefs and
still believe in the old fairy–tail belief systems that have been proved wrong. They also reject certain advances in technology and favor the old way of
doing things. Modernism is a decided exertion with respect to the individuals who have lost their own faith in the divine origin of the Holy Scriptures
to persuade others regarding their perspectives. In post–modernism philosophy, they believe society is in a constant state of change. They have no real
version of reality, no outright truth. Post–modern religion strengthens the individual's perspective and it weakens the religions strengths that deal with
open–minded realities.
Pre–modernism refers to the late Middle Ages (1200–1600 A.D.) through the reformation and to the dawn of the enlightenment. In Christianity, the
Europeans believed during the time "that God exists and knows everything. We human beings, made in his image, know only an infinitesimal part of
what God knows. In fact, if we are to know anything, then we must come to know some part of what God already perfectly knows–and so revelation is

Christianity is one of the largest religions in the world. With 2.2 billion adherents, it ranks above Islam, Atheists, and Hinduism. So why is this
religion so well known? How did it get where it is today? Where did it start? It started with Jesus of Nazareth who was born in Bethlehem, the
Messiah to the Jewish people, and crucified by the Romans. His life, works, death, and resurrection is what started Christianity. But that wasn't the end
of it. Christians would face numerous trials and persecution before Christianity would become the official religion of the Roman Empire, courtesy of
Theodosius I. Wait, didn't the Romans first persecute the Christians? What happened? The factors that happened within the Roman Empire that
eventually led to Christianity becoming the official religion were the Roman problems and Christian ideals, the ideal setting of the Roman Empire, the
Christian martyrs, and the emperors of Gallienus and Constantine.
The decline of the Roman Empire can be credited to many factors, including invasions, plagues, and a declining population. But some certain
problems in their empire were solved by the Christian ideals. For example, the divisions in the empire. The division between the upper and lower
classes in Rome were growing and were causing lots of mistrust and conflicts. While the rich were living it up, the poor were scrounging for food and

to Christianity in different manners. Justin Martyr and Porphyry had objectives when defining whether this "name" really defined Christianity and the
past. They wondered whether the past really represented Christianity. Additionally they honed in on the question of was the past that people
represented as Christianity really the roots of Christianity? All around Porphyry and Justin was perceptions of what Christianity rooted from and
stood for. The individual works of Porphyry and Justin gives just a glimpse of the opposing views they held of Christianity. They both had ideas about
the place of Christianity in the Roman world, based on the roots and origins of Christianity. Justin chose Christianity later on in life, where he found
truths in the ideas of Christianity and pursued showing how there were faults in the views that were held about Christianity. Porphyry, who is said to be
someone who left Christianity, found faults and issues with concepts of Christianity that they held as critical pieces of their origins. Porphyry held
issues with the idea of Christians claiming Moses or the Apostles as actual major influences on Christianity. Justin Martyr's work was an 'Apology'
towards the Emperor Antonius Pious and his sons, members of the Roman senate. This was Justin's response to the mistreatment he felt was being done

What is faith? According to Oxford Dictionaries faith is the complete trust in something or someone. But faith is more than simply just that. Faith is a
strong conviction that cannot be broken, it is the belief in something with no tangible evidence. Faith is devotion and endless confidence that there is a
higher power and an afterlife. It is not something you are born with; it is something you work for. Faith takes time and patience, in not only oneself but
a higher power. It is the most important aspect of developing and maintaining a healthy Christian Lifestyle. It strengthens one's relationship with God,
and how one sees the world. Faith is portrayed throughout the Bible, however, it is depicted differently in the Old and New Testament. The definition of
faith and how it was shown changes from the Old to New Testament; theOld Testament has an explicit and precise definition, while the New Testament
has a more open and honest way of looking at things.
What did faith mean to the Jews? As time has evolved so have people's definition of faith. According to the Old Testament, there is no clear definition

The introduction of Christianity brought forth an abrupt change to the ancient Roman Empire between 100 CE to 500 CE. Ancient Roman society
before this time period was religiously devoted to polytheistic deities. The birth of Jesus and the eventual spread of Christianity brought forth many
social and political changes to this society. Christianity was at first persecuted by other religions, and later it would persecute them. Although
Christianity in ancient Rome shared some similarities to traditional Roman religion, it was ultimately an absolute change in the ideals and

there were some similarities between the two. One such example is that Christianity had Hellenistic philosophical influences. As Christianity spread
