When a leader is willing to work past obstacles it gives the employees the will and want to keep going because they see they aren't alone. In the words

Lord of the Flies was written by William Golding who first published this book in 1954. He wrote the story with general references towards the
horror of the wars which began in 1914 when he was just three years old, and the repercussions that the world faced for years after. The main story is

George Orwell's Animal Farm and Suzanne Collin's The Hunger Games have more similarities than one might think. Both pieces have a horribly
corrupt government with a single leader getting the best of the best, whether the civilians know it or not. Dystopian fiction tends to follow a pattern.
Among the typical motifs are crisis, solution, charismatic leader, and the making of an enemy. Dystopian fiction also always has a visionary, or one
to oppose the oppression. While, Old Major and Katniss Everdeen aren't easily compared, the similarities in their goals really do bring up a good
point. Old Major was the inspiration for the totalitarian leader, and Katniss was the one who attempted to stop one. Both had very opposite roles in the

There are many lessons I learned in a little over a year. June 24, 2016, I remember standing on the stage at CSU when the old district president gave
her words of wisdom to me and I received the district flag. Our first event as an officer team we elected the secretary, treasurer, and parliamentarian.
When Sarah, the old district president, stood up to nominate me for Parliamentarian I looked at her like she was crazy. I never thought that I would get
the spot until they announced my name as the new parliamentarian. As a new team, we went to New Mexico as a new team and I met some people

The "Hard Rock" was a main inmate in the poem. The name of Hard Rock is based on a hard nut to crack because he was the only one inmate who
never submitted and gave a lot of troubles to officers. The Hard Rock was treated really badly and punished as warning to other inmates in the
hospital. Why he was treated so badly is because not only he never submitted to officers; there might be that he was a black person. While the Hard

It is hard to believe how greed affects the lives of people. Often people do not realize that money and power are not everything in life. During the
Industrial Revolution many people let their lives be heavily manipulated by their material wants rather than their needs. As a result they were often

Honor and power are extremely different yet similar in many ways. Honor is a form of respect given to a person, group, or cause. Power is form of
controlling people or a group. They can both be taken away from a person who abuses their traits. A person can abuse power by hurting people or
controlling them with it. In the fantastic novel The Giver by Lois Lowry the Giver says that honor and power are not the same thing, which is true to
me, but what do you believe?
Power is extremely difficult to achieve in a large way. Power can be earned by a position or ranking in a group. "There should be choices I want to
wake up in the morning to decide things."(97)Power can also be lost or taken by doing something wrong. "Steer clear of an occasion governed by
a rule which is so easy to break."(34) If someone has power then people will either fear or obey the amount of power that person has. This can make
