Amusement Park Satire
Wow, Ad
–venture Land Is an awesome place! I'm glad that my parents brought me here for the weekend! Look, it's that one mascot Bernie
Bernarde. You know, the Mascots of an amusement park can be seen as a lot like the chloroplast of a cell. This may seem like an anomaly, but think
about it. The chloroplast uses sun light to make sugar for energy for the cell using photosynthesis. And the mascots of amusement parks use their suits
to make their own silly antics, like dancing, into excitement for the people at the amusement park!
Did you know that the security is almost like the cell membrane? The cell membrane lets nutrients in and out of the of the cell. Security lets people pass
and lets them out.

The nucleus of course! The owner and the nucleus have so much in common. The nucleus regulates all the activities and is the control center of the

I was going onto a ride called the Raging Rivers and I was waiting for the carny to tell me when to go into the boat. Then I realized that the carny

Glen Echo Amusement Park Analysis
Glen echo amusement parkErin martin7300 macarthur blvd2/22/16Glen echo, Md 20812per: 6/8 To: whom it may concern, I'm writing in regards
to your current discrimination policy. I understand what you believe in, that black people should not be allowed in your park. However your
policy is not justified because, Clifton Davis worked his hardest and raised the money so that he could get his happiness, but keeps on getting
denied. It's not fair because of his race that he can not go to the park it should be equal. Him and his friend payed a lot of money to enjoy the park,
but was denied access. One reason that the management is not justified in excluding Clifton Davis is because, you are not treating him equally. All
men are created equal we all deserve happiness, "We hold these truths to be self–evident, that all men are created equal." This shows that black people
have rights just as much as white people do. This all shows that black should be equal to white people. They should... Show more content on

he should have happiness. The final reason was, in 1959 a thirteen year old boy tried to find his happiness by going on a trip with his class, but it

The Importance Of Kings Dominion
Just imagine a fun day out at an amusement park. Kings Dominion is the place to be with your family out on a sunny summer day. Kings Dominion is
an amusement park in Doswell, Virginia. Kings Dominion is one of the best Amusement parks in America.
Kings Dominion is a fun place to be , but just imagine the drive. It takes 2 hours to get there. Kings Dominion Doswell, Virginia is far but is it
worth the drive? Of course it is. Gas is usually around 2.65 at the max. You'd be paying a lot of money. Kings Dominion has a great variety of rides.
Yet, the lines of some of them can be way too long. People enjoy getting on the great rides that they have until they reach the line. You will maybe
decide to sit in the line , until you start to get tired and decide that it's not worth it. When you get on the rides, you are gonna want to sit next to ... Show

When you get hungry, your gonna want your food right then at that moment. Then you may start to think, how war will I have to walk just to get my
food? Or you may think that you shouldn't have went so far from the food spots. Everyone has a big passion for food. The quality of the food is what
almost everyone looks at. Or they even look at how it smells, taste, etc. Now what makes everyone upset is the price of the food. A single hot dog
would be like $10. Who does that, it's too much money for a hot dog.
When you get to the park , on certain days , the lines are super long. Then on other days, the lines are short. People tend to complain that they need
more people working at the ticket booth so the lines go faster. Depending on how many people go with you , the tickets are expensive. The tickets
through June 15 are $41, but on a regularly daily basis, for adults they are $54. A lot of people forget to check the weather down in virginia. They'll
check it in maryland and forget about the main place that they are going to be for almost 7

Discrimination Policy: Inside The Amusement Park
I am writing in regards to your current discrimination policy. I understand that you believe negroes are not allowed to be inside the amusement park.
However, your policy is not justified, because of Lincoln's speech, the Declaration of Independence, and the Mason Dixon line. One reason that your
policy is not justified because of Lincoln's speech, according to Lincoln's speech at Gettysburg, he said "We here highly resolve that these dead shall
not have died in vain...". This shows that people can't tell others that they are not allowed without a reason. This also illustrate that if you kick someone

Public Entertainment : Amusement Parks
375 million; the number of approximately how many people, from all over the world, flock to amusement parks in the United States every year
(IAAPA). Why do so many people go? What makes amusement parks so popular and desirable? The first glimpse of a modern amusement park
was created in England during the year of 1133 and was called the Bartholomew Fair. Over time the idea of large places of public entertainment has
evolved into the 2,100 immensely popular parks in the world today, 400 which being in the U.S. (IAAPA). These fairs, parks, and carnivals have
turned into an international phenomenon, drawing in millions of attenders, and the cause of countless children's' begging tears and cries of
excitement. They have become a childhood staple, one that many adults and senior citizens admire and repeatedly come back to relive and show to
their own children. But why? Why do they have such an impact on society? Amusement parks are a way to escape the troubles of reality by allowing
people to enter a child–like state of utter joy.
Amusement Parks have been around since medieval times, but why? What separates them from other forms of entertainment? From their roller
coasters, merry–go–rounds, and the teacup spin, every part of the parks bring an immense rush adrenaline, excitement, and adventure. Those are things
that you cannot obtain from spending an hour or two at the movies or bowling or even at arcades. Before even entering an amusement park, such as

Amusement parks are always a must for those hot, summer days. People want to enjoy their time riding all sorts of thrilling roller coasters and
frightening rides. Amusement parks like Lake Winnie and Six Flags are great options to choose from, but sometimes that can be a difficult decision.
For families determining whether to go to Lake Winnie or Six Flags, one must consider the differences in the roller coasters, water parks, and food
options. Both Lake Winnie and Six Flags have different selections of roller coasters. Lake Winnie is known for its variety of family and thrill rides,
but not for its roller coaster as it only has one in the entire park. Therefore, the best option for someone that despises coasters is to go to Lake Winnie. If

Being in the entertainment industry Six Flags has direct and indirect competitors. Domestically Six Flags competes directly with universal studios
as they offer roller coasters and water rides in their parks, similar to Six Flags. However, Six Flags keeps a competitive advantage by offering
numerous amounts of roller coasters in their parks. By expanding to Australia Six Flags will have a geographic advantage over Universal Studios, as
they have not entered the Australian market. Indirectly competing with Six Flags is Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival is not a direct competitor, but still
manages to steal customers away for vacations. Carnival Cruise is a more expensive way of entertainment and also requires more planning than a

Dreamworld is an amusement park located an hour away from Toowoomba in Brisbane. Geographically Dreamworld is positioned better because it
is located few miles from the ocean. From primary research, it is found that Six Flags has a competitive pricing strategy offering entertainment for a
lower cost than its direct competitor Dreamworld. Dreamworld offers tickets at $75 for a single day pass which is a higher price point than most Six

The name "Six Flags" holds a greater meaning than its competitor in the United States because Six Flags has the most amusement park properties in
the world (Six Flags Magic). This brand awareness is to the advantage of Six Flags and also makes for a more trusting company. However, this

Thesis Statement For Theme Park
The second important scene of the movie was the kitchen scene where Jack is being held captive. This scene shows the transition of scale at a major
level. If the whole kitchen were built to the scale of the giant the kitchen would've been 300 feet long. Instead of that the designers divided the kitchen
to three parts and displayed the props in them.
Large–scale props were made with lightweight material to show the comparison between the human and the giant's house. Large brick effect was added
to the wall, which made the comparison visible.
Additionally a human sized cage is also used to show the entrapped man. This cage was built for a perfect human size to show how the man was small
for the giant. 7.7Conclusion

The exhilarating rides and likewise events play a great role in amusing many groups of people. Amusement parks encompass the basic playgrounds
and simple parks and attract people of all age groups with respect to the variety that they provide.
In common language, theme park is often used as a synonym for the term "amusement park". A "theme park" is actually a distinct style of amusement
park, for a theme park has landscaping, buildings, and attractions that are based on one or more specific or central themes. Despite the long history of
amusement parks, where many parks have traditionally incorporated themes into the evolving design and operation of the park, qualifying a park as a
theme park, the first park built with the original intension of promoting a specific (or exclusive set of) theme(s), Santa Claus Land (currently known as
holiday world and splash–in' safari) located in Santa Claus Land, Indiana, did not open until 1946. Disneyland, located in Anaheim, California, built

The most well known of the parks in London, was Vauxhall Gardens founded in 1661 and closed in 1859. These parks consisted of booths,
entertainment, fireworks displays and some rides such as introduction to the modern railroad. The parks grew to accommodate the expectations of
their customers. Rides became a required part of the pleasure garden and by 1896, there were 65 such pleasure parks in London.
In 1895 Sea Lion Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn opened its doors. It was the first permanent amusement park in North America. This park was one
of the first to charge admission to get into the park in addition to sell tickets for rides within the park. In 1897, Sea Lion Park was joined by
Steeplechase Park, the first of three major amusement parks that would open in the Coney Island area, the combination of the nearby population center
of New York City and the ease of access to the area made Coney Island the embodiment of the American amusement park. Theme parks are considered

Descriptive Essay About Six Flags
About seven years ago, I went to Six Flags for the first time ever. I was only about ten years old at the time, and of course I was extremely nervous. I
had a lot of questions about it because of course it was all new to me with it being my first time going to an amusement park. I had asked about the big
rides they have of course, the really popular water park they have at Six Flags, and of course I had to ask about the good amusement park food. As soon
as I got there, my heart instantly dropped.
I was at the park, and it was me and my family taking a trip to the best amusement park in missouri. We took off from the house, in Fulton,
Missouri. It was about an hour and a half drive to get to Six Flags in St. Louis. We finally got there, the lines were super long, and the park was
packed already at about eleven in the morning. Me and my little sister were both extremely excited to get past the long line, since it was both of
our first time being there. We walk through the gate, and my heart instantly dropped on spot. The rides were super big. With loops and
corkscrews, and that made me go from excited to scared quick.I was only about ten years old; therefore, I was not able to ride that many rides, and I
was kind of relieved to hear that from my family. Since I was too young and too short to ride any rides, me and my sister went to the water park. The
rides were still really big and scary, but also very fun at the same time, there was quite a few cool water slides that I

Building Sandusky's Skyline Amusement parks have been developing across the country for centuries. Their success is often attributed to the wide
variety of entertainment within each park. In Ohio, many amusement parks have come and gone over the years, but one has stayed. Cedar Point has
stood high above the other parks, including Geauga Lake now merely a water park, paling in comparison. It is constantly developing in order to keep
guests captivated while also preserving historical treasures. Which in turn aids in the economic development of the state. As the marking director for

When Louis Zistel's small attraction was developed people were brought to the peninsula by steamboat. Later, when George A. Boeckling took over he
envisioned a full–scale resort atmosphere with overnight accommodations. Visitors were encouraged to stay at a hotel on the Sandusky Bay while
visiting the park. The first hotel, Bay Shore, opened in 1899, followed by The White House two years later (Francis & DeMali Francis, 20). Many
other hotels have opened over since then including the historical Hotel Breakers (1905), Sandcastle Suite (1990), Breakers Express (2000), and
Lighthouse Point (2001). As time progressed more steamship services were provided along with the development of a roadway connecting the resort to

The Walt Disney Effect
Thousands of books, documentaries, and television series' about Disneyland have flooded the market since its opening and have provided evidence that
would suggest the Disney Company to have created not only the first, but the most successful theme park in history. Walt Disney created a niche in
what was a dying industry leading to Disneyland's success that is still observed today as the most popular and most recognizable park in the park
entertainment industry. Although Disneyland was not the firstamusement park, Walt Disney did perfect the idea of an amusement park and give birth to
the first ever theme park which blossomed into the theme park industry. The influence Disneyland commands as the first theme park has impacted
American pop culture, society, economics, marketing, entertainment and tourism by creating what has been called the "Disney effect". This "Disney
effect" has been argued between historians, economist, and psychologists since Disneyland's opening in 1955.
How could one park cause such a drastic effect across a significant number of subjects? What made it different from other amusement parks to
provide such success that was never before seen? By exploring and analyzing work from Disney historians like Michael Barrier, Steven Watts, Alan
Bryman they provide Disney's historical insight which can be further analyzed and broken down by psychologist like Jackie Ogden, who works for
Disney studying guest experience, their work explores what makes Disneyland

Part of the value proposition for an amusement park is the highly developed themed experience they provide. Once fully immersed in the amusement

Roller Coasters: The Physics Of Amusement Parks
Roller coasters. An amusement park just isn't an amusement park without one. They can give you the thrill that nothing else can ever do, and people
love it. They'll be going up one moment, down the next, and then upside down before you can blink. But how are these thrill machines able to do such
amazing things?
The physics that goes into the construction of a roller coaster is a fascinating, complex process that many don't understand. When the ride begins, you
can usually hear chains being pulled. These chains are pulled by a motor which lifts the train of cars to the top of the first, and tallest hill. Once on
the top of the hill, gravity takes over and no motors are needed. This is because while going up the first hill, the cars were able ... Show more content on

When you go upside down during a loop, you don't feel like you're falling out of your seat, do you? As the car makes it way towards the loop, your
initial velocity points straight ahead, the same angle the track does. As the cars enter the loop, the track guides the cars up, which in turn moves you
up as well. At the top of the loop, gravity wants to pull you back down to Earth, but because of the cars inertia, you are pushed back into your seat
instead of plummeting to your death. At the bottom of the loop, gravity and the change from downwards to horizontal once more pushes you into your
seat.
Gravity also plays a major role in roller coasters. That feel of weightlessness you get when going down a large hill or going through a loop? That's
because of gravity. When a person feels that weightlessness, they are in free fall, which is where gravity is the onlyforce acting upon them. Gravity
also helps the cars gain speed going down a hill or coming down from a loop.
Gravity, inertia, potential and kinetic energy all play a key role in the development of a roller coaster. Roller coasters are literally built from the laws
of physics. Without the knowledge of physics? There would be no roller

Cedar Point Amusement Park: An Overview
Background Cedar Point Amusement Park is a 364 acre theme park located on a Lake Erie peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio. The park has been open
since 1870, and is the third oldest park in North America. It is currently tied with Six Flags Magic Mountain for having the most roller coasters in the
world. Outside the park is a mile–long white sand beach, an outdoor water park called Soak City, two marinas, several resorts, and an area known as
Challenge Park that houses upcharge attractions (golf, racing, rip cord and skyscraper rides). Typically, the park's operating season runs daily from
Mid–May through Labor Day, and then on the weekends until late October, when it becomes too chilly for most people to remain comfortable. The
park has a number of milestones that draw tourists from all over the Midwest; and is known as "America's Roller Coast," and the "Best Amusement

expensive, especially to eat with a family. The lines are long and sometimes it is difficult to stand in the sun. Still, it is far less expensive than
traveling to Disneyworld or Disneyland, and there are more roller coasters in Cedar Point anyway. The beauty of the park is that it is set up for all
ages; there are rides and events for preschoolers, young children, adolescents, older children, and the child in every adult. It is definitely a middle to

Amusing the Million Paper In John Kasson's book Amusing The Million; Kasson creates an image of Coney Island that is an escape from the
increasingly urban lifestyle where people were expected to follow strict social codes of conduct. Throughout the nineteenth century a polite and
courteous norm was considered as the 'official' culture of America. This proper group of reformers took matters into their own hands to try to control
and end the debauchery caused by the public. These reformers built museums and libraries to influence a culture based on integrity and morality.
Kasson, however, points out that this social disagreement is never fully installed into American society... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To prove this point, Kasson compares the two most important projects during the turn of the century: Central Park in New York, and the Columbian
Exposition in Chicago; also known as the world's fair. "Despite important differences in philosophy and form, the two projects represented an effort to
provide cultural leadership for an urban–industrial society; to present a model of social order.." (Kasson 11). He described the reformation using the
opinions from Frederick Law Olmstead. Olmstead saw the recklessness of the public due to narrow–minded interests, so he designed Central Park as a
rural escape in the urban environment. The park provided a serene environment boasting the scenery of woods, hills and lakes that otherwise could
not be found in the city. Although Olmstead's original plan for the park was to refine social leisure to a calm and relaxing norm, there were still
limitations to his overall goal. "..Central Park proved enormously popular, attracting an average of 30,000 visitors a day...the park was located so far
uptown that great majority of citizens could only afford the expenses on special occasion" (Kasson 15). Olmstead was originally not worried about the
location due to the continuous settlement of the northern parts of the city, but soon became overturned due to political takeovers, which clashed with
the original plans for the park. These takeovers allowed the park to have accommodations such as

How Chinese Dominated Sports Played the Role of...
The amusement parks played a nostalgic role amongst the Chinese Singaporeans for their total entertainment experiences. However, in Gay World
Amusement Park, its indoor stadium is sentimental to many Chinese Singaporeans. Over the years, Singapore had advocated towards being a world
class sporting arena, especially with the hosting of Youth Olympic Game in 2010 and the opening of the new Sporting Hub this year. To see the
development of sports over the years, this paper tries to understand how Chinese dominated Sports such as Basketball and Table tennis played the role
of entertaining the Chinese community between 1970s and 1980s.

They provided a communal platform for the multi–dialect Chinese community to come together for leisure.
Interestingly, the introduction of the amusement parks in Singapore got influenced from China in the early days when amusement parks were
originated from Shanghai (Chan and Yung, 2005). This demonstrates the connection between the Chinese Singaporeans and the Chinese community
from Mainland China. In addition, it is mesmerizing to scrutinize how the introduction of the amusement parks were well–accepted by the local
community, through transformation and localization of the parks for the multi–cultural Singaporeans.
Gay WorldAmusement Park
Gay World Amusement Park was opened in 1937 by George Lee on a plot of land between Geylang and Mountbatten Roads (Thimbuktu, 2011).
Unlike the other two amusement parks, Gay World Amusement Park was a sporting arena. It was famously known for its octagonal shaped indoor
stadium, known as Gay World stadium or Geylang Indoor Stadium, in which it was the largest sheltered stadium in Southeast Asia (Omar and Rahman,
2005). According to the photograph (Figure 1) from National Archives of Singapore, the satellite imagery of the site showed a prominent octagonal
shaped ring situated in the amusement park. In addition, from the imagery, the site labelled with a letter "F" was where Gay World Hotel located. Gay

Personal Narrative: Speedy Park
Someone's everlasting bliss is somewhere or something that could make them happy forever. Someone's eternal torture is somewhere or
something that frightens them or where they can't stand being. So, with that being said, my everlasting bliss would be being at an amusement park
with friends, and my eternal torture would be being in a graveyard at night all alone. One day on a saturday morning, probable around 10 or 11
o'clock, I asked my dad if I could go to Speedy Park for the rest of the day with a couple of friends and he said, "sure, just be back by 11:00." Speedy
Park is a local amusement park that everyone loves to go to. It got its name because there's so many fast and insanely steep rides, the founders of the
park thought "What better name than Speedy, Speedy Park?" But anyways, around 12:00 I went to pick up Ron, Rick, Sane, short for Sanchelli,
and Dave. They were like the only people i talked to in the neighborhood. So, after I picked them up we all walk down to the park, it was like a 30
to 40 minute walk. When we arrived, it felt as if it was the first time I've ever been there, even though we been here like 100 times. The smell of the
funnel cakes and other scents in the air, and the sounds of happiness coming from every direction never gets old. So, we just start walking around,
getting on rides and eating, you know having a good time like friends should. But soon, at around 5:30, something dramatic happens, all the laughter
and talking and all the scents in the air stop, the roller coasters stop, and there's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Amusement Park Negligence
Amusement park owners are also required to have policies and practices in place that a reasonable amusement park would have in order to ensure the
safety of guests. Failure to have these policies in place or to take care in hiring amusement park employees can result in a general negligence lawsuit
against the amusement park. In addition, when amusement park employees are negligent in operating the rides or ensuring guest safety, their negligence
is considered to be the negligence of the amusement park itself because of legal rules referred to as vicarious liability or agency laws. Since the park
becomes responsible for the negligence of its employees, people who are injured as a result of improper ride operation or other related causes may ...

All four of these elements have to be shown in order to recover on a negligence claim.
To put it simply, when an amusement park owner or operator fails to maintain the park or its rides in a safe way, it can be considered in breach of a
legal duty owed to customers under premises liability law. This negligence can make the amusement park owner responsible for any injuries that
result, and the owner may be liable for medical costs, lost salaries, damages for pain and suffering and emotional distress, and wrongful death damages
based on lack of appropriate warning
To sum it up, the negligence legal theory rests on the notion that an amusement park is responsible for providing customers with a safe environment.
The amusement park is responsible for the actions of its employees. So if an employee is negligent, injured parties may sue the park for that
employee's actions. The park or its employees may be negligent by affirmatively doing something or by failing to do something. Examples include:
failing to post clear warning signs that, for example, customers with blood pressure or heart problems should not go on a ride –
posting signs that don't adequately warn riders of the risks

Disneyland Vs Disneyland
Which amusement park do you prefer Disneyland or Six Flags Magic Mountain? Even though, both of these amusement parks are very much
enjoyable, everyone has a preference. While one is labeled as the happiest place on earth, the other is just as fun, or is it? Disneyland and Six Flags
Magic Mountain are both filled with rides, food, and entertainment; however, I believe one of these amusement parks does a little better job at
making your experience unforgettable. Disneyland offers awesome rides, delicious food, and breathtaking entertainment. I believe Disneyland is true
to its slogan and is the happiest place on earth because whenever I find myself there I am always having a great time. The rides at Disneyland are so
enjoyable and delightful; however, most of their rides were created to accommodate infants and children, so many of them are slow moving or digital.
Nevertheless, while this does not worsen your experience, you do sometimes miss out on that roller coaster thrill that you would feel on a typical ride.
For example, the rides that are slow moving or digital include It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Pirates of the Caribbean, and so on.
Disneyland's targeted guests are children and adults of all ages. Disneyland has many rides that are accessible to infants and children, and many rides
that are targeted more toward teenagers and adults. Disneyland also offers plenty of entertainment that is meant for really anyone such as their parades,

Coney Island – Paper #1
Due Sept 14
A. At the turn of the 20th century radical social changes began to define the American culture, and a major part that factored into these new changes
was the creation of the amusement park. According to John F. Kasson's Amusing The Million:Coney Island at the Turn of the Century, theamusement
park (the amusement parks at Coney Island especially) played a major role in the shift of lifestyle, morals, and overall attitudes of our society. John
Kasson's Amusing the Million has many societal and cultural examples of what it was like to live in a bustling urban setting in the 1920's. The turn of
the century It also provides a rich, detailed view of why Coney Island is regarded as a cultural hotspot in the 1920's. This amusement park/attraction
transitioned America from the Victorian culture of the past to a more inclusive, less restrictive culture on which our culture today is based on. This
culture is highlighted by new social and moral codes, and also a new mentality. Kasson says that when the 20th century began the American elite took it
upon themselves to take control of the ragtag urban public and took leadership of the culture that was being formed. These members of the elite "built
museums, symphonies, and libraries to institutionalize a formal cultural life based upon moral integrity and self–control" (Kasson p. 4). Although these
reformers tried to grow the population that reinforced their ideas

Off-The-Rail Rules For Amusement Parks
Off–the–Rail Rules for Amusement Parks
"I don't want the public to see the world they live in while they're in the park. I want them to feel they're in another world." ~ Walt Disney
Some amusement parks are adequately acceptable; some are gloriously great! But the most exceptionally excellent amusement park must contain
several key elements to transport you into a world filled with adventure, enjoyment, and imagination. Without rolling rides, soul–saving safety, fantastic
food, and willing workers, a park cannot be extraordinary. These critical components keep a park in ship–shape condition for attendees and put the
amusement in amusement park.
Obviously, an outstanding amusement park must include adrenaline–pumping rides. There must be rides with heaps of thrilling turns that climb to
astounding heights. Furthermore, an extravagant ride must include breath–taking drops, screaming turns, rapid corkscrews, gravity–defying loops, and
sudden blackouts. Such features make your heart beat rapidly and add to the excitement of the day. Picture the clinkety clank of the chain pulling your
very soul up to the roller coaster's apex. Feel the cold air kissing your face as murmurs of fear and anticipation fight in your ears with the sound of your
racing pulse. Now you have reached the summit. Time stands still. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Park And Amusement Park Industry
Introduction
Group organization and planning is a very complex and multifaceted problem that we all face. Coordinating numerous individuals, each with their
own sets of preferences, objections, and requirements is not a simple task. A domain in which this problem clearly presents itself is in the theme
park/amusement park industry. Parks like Universal Studios and Disney World attract more and more guests every year which obviously creates
longer and longer waiting times for attractions. This can create instances where if not properly planned for, groups or families may not to be able to
experience everything in a park that they pay for. Recently, parks have started to offer companion apps that guests can load onto their smart phones to
access ride wait times, park maps, and even dining reservations. This is only a partial solution as it only presents the information to the user, it does
not stitch it all together to be as effective for the user. Thus, Park Planner is a decision support system to be utilized that incorporates optimal decision
making strategies, along with real world information, and group dynamics to facilitate the most efficient and enjoyable time at an amusement park.

Abstract
Amusement parks are in the umbrella of the hospitality industry. One of its goals is to provide entertainment for all guests. It has been that way since
the beginning and has been advancing ever since. If anyone had to say it the best, it will have to be the father of the amusement parks, Walt Disney.
"Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy" (GoodReads). He understood that how important amusement parks are,
how keeping the original charm that the guest grew to love and advancing that park to make the guests continue to enjoy the park for years to come.
Understanding the past, present and future of the amusement park will show how these parks have lasted for years and years.

One of the reason I am studying Hospitality is for the amusement parks. I love the thrill, the excitement and my favorite part, the food. The amusement
park is not only rich in entertainment but also in history, present and advanced ideas for the future.
Beginning of the Park. The "first" thought of the amusement park started in the middle ages. They had fairs and carnivals, but parks as a whole were
brought into trend in the 19th century. These events were called pleasure gardens and trolley parks that had began in the United States and Europe. Since

Amusement Park Satire

  • 1. Amusement Park Satire Wow, Ad –venture Land Is an awesome place! I'm glad that my parents brought me here for the weekend! Look, it's that one mascot Bernie Bernarde. You know, the Mascots of an amusement park can be seen as a lot like the chloroplast of a cell. This may seem like an anomaly, but think about it. The chloroplast uses sun light to make sugar for energy for the cell using photosynthesis. And the mascots of amusement parks use their suits to make their own silly antics, like dancing, into excitement for the people at the amusement park! Did you know that the security is almost like the cell membrane? The cell membrane lets nutrients in and out of the of the cell. Security lets people pass and lets them out. This weather is SUPER amusement park–y. It really makes me want to go to the amusement park. Ten minutes later after parents drive me to amusement park (Sudden realization mode activates) ... Since it does the same thing: store food and water, but for the cell! I was going onto a ride called the Raging Rivers and I was waiting for the carny to tell me when to go into the boat. Then I realized that the carny was like the cytoplasm. A cytoplasm moves the organelles to various places and it protects the organelles, the carny kinda does the same, they direct people to their ride and keeps them safe from dangers or ... Glen Echo Amusement Park Analysis Glen echo amusement parkErin martin7300 macarthur blvd2/22/16Glen echo, Md 20812per: 6/8 To: whom it may concern, I'm writing in regards to your current discrimination policy. I understand what you believe in, that black people should not be allowed in your park. However your policy is not justified because, Clifton Davis worked his hardest and raised the money so that he could get his happiness, but keeps on getting denied. It's not fair because of his race that he can not go to the park it should be equal. Him and his friend payed a lot of money to enjoy the park, but was denied access. One reason that the management is not justified in excluding Clifton Davis is because, you are not treating him equally. All men are created equal we all deserve happiness, "We hold these truths to be self–evident, that all men are created equal." This shows that black people have rights just as much as white people do. This all shows that black should be equal to white people. They should... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This also shows that freedom is a right and it should not be taken away from people; therefore, he should have happiness. The final reason was, in 1959 a thirteen year old boy tried to find his happiness by going on a trip with his class, but it was denied. For example, "after feeling sad for ten seconds, i decide to fund the trip myself. This shows that he tried hard to succeed at what he was trying get but, the the management said,"No negroes in our park." As I recall back to the Declaration Of Independence it says "We hold these truths to be self–evident, that all men are created equal," therefore The Glen Echo Park is not falling the ... Kings Dominion is an amusement park in Doswell, Virginia. Kings Dominion is one of the best Amusement parks in America. Kings Dominion is a fun place to be , but just imagine the drive. It takes 2 hours to get there. Kings Dominion Doswell, Virginia is far but is it worth the drive? Of course it is. Gas is usually around 2.65 at the max. You'd be paying a lot of money. Kings Dominion has a great variety of rides. Yet, the lines of some of them can be way too long. People enjoy getting on the great rides that they have until they reach the line. Or they even look at how it smells, taste, etc. Now what makes everyone upset is the price of the food. A single hot dog would be like $10. Who does that, it's too much money for a hot dog. When you get to the park , on certain days , the lines are super long. Then on other days, the lines are short. People tend to complain that they need more people working at the ticket booth so the lines go faster. Depending on how many people go with you , the tickets are expensive. The tickets through June 15 are $41, but on a regularly daily basis, for adults they are $54. A lot of people forget to check the weather down in virginia. I understand that you believe negroes are not allowed to be inside the amusement park. However, your policy is not justified, because of Lincoln's speech, the Declaration of Independence, and the Mason Dixon line. One reason that your policy is not justified because of Lincoln's speech, according to Lincoln's speech at Gettysburg, he said "We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain...". This shows that people can't tell others that they are not allowed without a reason. This also illustrate that if you kick someone out of your team, you won't know what he/she does. If the whole kitchen were built to the scale of the giant the kitchen would've been 300 feet long. Instead of that the designers divided the kitchen to three parts and displayed the props in them. Large–scale props were made with lightweight material to show the comparison between the human and the giant's house. Large brick effect was added to the wall, which made the comparison visible. Additionally a human sized cage is also used to show the entrapped man. Amusement parks encompass the basic playgrounds and simple parks and attract people of all age groups with respect to the variety that they provide. In common language, theme park is often used as a synonym for the term "amusement park". A "theme park" is actually a distinct style of amusement park, for a theme park has landscaping, buildings, and attractions that are based on one or more specific or central themes. Despite the long history of amusement parks, where many parks have traditionally incorporated themes into the evolving design and operation of the park, qualifying a park as a theme park, the first park built with the original intension of promoting a specific (or exclusive set of) theme(s), Santa Claus Land (currently known as holiday world and splash–in' safari) located in Santa Claus Land, Indiana, did not open until 1946. • 13. Descriptive Essay About Six Flags About seven years ago, I went to Six Flags for the first time ever. I was only about ten years old at the time, and of course I was extremely nervous. I had a lot of questions about it because of course it was all new to me with it being my first time going to an amusement park. I had asked about the big rides they have of course, the really popular water park they have at Six Flags, and of course I had to ask about the good amusement park food. As soon as I got there, my heart instantly dropped. I was at the park, and it was me and my family taking a trip to the best amusement park in missouri. We took off from the house, in Fulton, Missouri. It was about an hour and a half drive to get to Six Flags in St. Louis. We finally got there, the lines were super long, and the park was packed already at about eleven in the morning. Me and my little sister were both extremely excited to get past the long line, since it was both of our first time being there. We walk through the gate, and my heart instantly dropped on spot. The rides were super big. With loops and corkscrews, and that made me go from excited to scared quick.I was only about ten years old; therefore, I was not able to ride that many rides, and I was kind of relieved to hear that from my family. Since I was too young and too short to ride any rides, me and my sister went to the water park. The rides were still really big and scary, but also very fun at the same time, there was quite a few cool water slides that I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is constantly developing in order to keep guests captivated while also preserving historical treasures. Which in turn aids in the economic development of the state. • 15. The Walt Disney Effect Thousands of books, documentaries, and television series' about Disneyland have flooded the market since its opening and have provided evidence that would suggest the Disney Company to have created not only the first, but the most successful theme park in history. Walt Disney created a niche in what was a dying industry leading to Disneyland's success that is still observed today as the most popular and most recognizable park in the park entertainment industry. Although Disneyland was not the firstamusement park, Walt Disney did perfect the idea of an amusement park and give birth to the first ever theme park which blossomed into the theme park industry. The influence Disneyland commands as the first theme park has impacted American pop culture, society, economics, marketing, entertainment and tourism by creating what has been called the "Disney effect". This "Disney effect" has been argued between historians, economist, and psychologists since Disneyland's opening in 1955. How could one park cause such a drastic effect across a significant number of subjects? What made it different from other amusement parks to provide such success that was never before seen? Part of the value proposition for an amusement park is the highly developed themed experience they provide. Once fully immersed in the amusement park experience the level of difficulty and inconvenience in accessing alternative providers for staples like food, drink, shopping, and accommodations, grows exponentially. Utilizing spatial discrimination, the parks have several different supply, demand and profit opportunities to exploit. Higher than market food pricing and profits based on proximity and distance to cheaper alternative. Amusement Parks, like many other entertainment businesses can derive extremely high profits from customers on purchases of goods and services once inside the park. Zero competition from competitors within park confines. Meeting Up At The Amusement Park Ariana told me everyone was planning on meeting up at the amusement park today, which I didn't want to go to because I hated amusement parks, but knew she wouldn't stop bugging me till I said yes. So why the hell is Tia and I the only ones here right now? "What the hell is going on?" I asked her, began to consider this as Ariana trying to be funny and about to go home. "Where is anybody?" "I couldn't tell you," she shrugged. My phone started to buzz, which distracted me from asking her my other questions. • 19. Roller Coasters: The Physics Of Amusement Parks Roller coasters. An amusement park just isn't an amusement park without one. They can give you the thrill that nothing else can ever do, and people love it. They'll be going up one moment, down the next, and then upside down before you can blink. But how are these thrill machines able to do such amazing things? The physics that goes into the construction of a roller coaster is a fascinating, complex process that many don't understand. When the ride begins, you can usually hear chains being pulled. These chains are pulled by a motor which lifts the train of cars to the top of the first, and tallest hill. Once on the top of the hill, gravity takes over and no motors are needed. This is because while going up the first hill, the cars were able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When you go upside down during a loop, you don't feel like you're falling out of your seat, do you? As the car makes it way towards the loop, your initial velocity points straight ahead, the same angle the track does. As the cars enter the loop, the track guides the cars up, which in turn moves you up as well. At the top of the loop, gravity wants to pull you back down to Earth, but because of the cars inertia, you are pushed back into your seat instead of plummeting to your death. At the bottom of the loop, gravity and the change from downwards to horizontal once more pushes you into your seat. Gravity also plays a major role in roller coasters. That feel of weightlessness you get when going down a large hill or going through a loop? That's because of gravity. When a person feels that weightlessness, they are in free fall, which is where gravity is the onlyforce acting upon them. Gravity also helps the cars gain speed going down a hill or coming down from a loop. Gravity, inertia, potential and kinetic energy all play a key role in the development of a roller coaster. Roller coasters are literally built from the laws of physics. Without the knowledge of physics? There would be no roller ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

HIST 2057 ESSAY 1 Brooks Rogers Professor Carson History 2057 February 10, 2015 Amusing the Million Paper In John Kasson's book Amusing The Million; Kasson creates an image of Coney Island that is an escape from the increasingly urban lifestyle where people were expected to follow strict social codes of conduct. Throughout the nineteenth century a polite and courteous norm was considered as the 'official' culture of America. This proper group of reformers took matters into their own hands to try to control and end the debauchery caused by the public. These reformers built museums and libraries to influence a culture based on integrity and morality. "Despite important differences in philosophy and form, the two projects represented an effort to provide cultural leadership for an urban–industrial society; to present a model of social order.." (Kasson 11). He described the reformation using the opinions from Frederick Law Olmstead. Olmstead saw the recklessness of the public due to narrow–minded interests, so he designed Central Park as a rural escape in the urban environment. The park provided a serene environment boasting the scenery of woods, hills and lakes that otherwise could not be found in the city. Although Olmstead's original plan for the park was to refine social leisure to a calm and relaxing norm, there were still limitations to his overall goal. "..Central Park proved enormously popular, attracting an average of 30,000 visitors a day...the park was located so far uptown that great majority of citizens could only afford the expenses on special occasion" (Kasson 15). Olmstead was originally not worried about the location due to the continuous settlement of the northern parts of the city, but soon became overturned due to political takeovers, which clashed with the original plans for the park. Someone's eternal torture is somewhere or something that frightens them or where they can't stand being. So, with that being said, my everlasting bliss would be being at an amusement park with friends, and my eternal torture would be being in a graveyard at night all alone. One day on a saturday morning, probable around 10 or 11 o'clock, I asked my dad if I could go to Speedy Park for the rest of the day with a couple of friends and he said, "sure, just be back by 11:00." Speedy Park is a local amusement park that everyone loves to go to. Failure to have these policies in place or to take care in hiring amusement park employees can result in a general negligence lawsuit against the amusement park. In addition, when amusement park employees are negligent in operating the rides or ensuring guest safety, their negligence is considered to be the negligence of the amusement park itself because of legal rules referred to as vicarious liability or agency laws. To put it simply, when an amusement park owner or operator fails to maintain the park or its rides in a safe way, it can be considered in breach of a legal duty owed to customers under premises liability law. This negligence can make the amusement park owner responsible for any injuries that result, and the owner may be liable for medical costs, lost salaries, damages for pain and suffering and emotional distress, and wrongful death damages based on lack of appropriate warning To sum it up, the negligence legal theory rests on the notion that an amusement park is responsible for providing customers with a safe environment. The amusement park is responsible for the actions of its employees. So if an employee is negligent, injured parties may sue the park for that employee's actions. The park or its employees may be negligent by affirmatively doing something or by failing to do something. At the turn of the 20th century radical social changes began to define the American culture, and a major part that factored into these new changes was the creation of the amusement park. According to John F. Kasson's Amusing The Million:Coney Island at the Turn of the Century, theamusement park (the amusement parks at Coney Island especially) played a major role in the shift of lifestyle, morals, and overall attitudes of our society. John Kasson's Amusing the Million has many societal and cultural examples of what it was like to live in a bustling urban setting in the 1920's. The turn of the century It also provides a rich, detailed view of why Coney Island is regarded as a cultural hotspot in the 1920's. This amusement park/attraction transitioned America from the Victorian culture of the past to a more inclusive, less restrictive culture on which our culture today is based on. This culture is highlighted by new social and moral codes, and also a new mentality. Kasson says that when the 20th century began the American elite took it upon themselves to take control of the ragtag urban public and took leadership of the culture that was being formed. These members of the elite "built museums, symphonies, and libraries to institutionalize a formal cultural life based upon moral integrity and self–control" (Kasson p. 4).
