My goal in life has always been to touch and inspire someone, especially when they are at their most
vulnerable point in their life. The best advice a patient has ever given me was, "do what makes me
happy." I never truly understood the exact meaning of that statement until I graduated college and
struggled figuring out what I wanted to pursue. I always knew I wanted to work in the health and
medical field; I definitely knew I wanted to work in the healthcare field when I was able to make

Many individuals do not have the necessary funds to travel to the hospital and even if they are able
to find a hospital it is overcrowded and understaffed. I want to help make a change, I want to help
shape Guinea's healthcare system into a more sufficient and successful one. Having such a strong
passion for Guinea's healthcare system and working with patients drew me into wanting to pursue a
career in nursing. The ability to place myself in patient's shoes and understand their situation and
deliver the best care for them is my strong suit. I always think what if that was me, or my parents, or

I Don 't Know How She Did It
I don't know how she did it, but somehow that poor excuse for a professor got me to do her dirty
bidding for her. It was early in the morning on this lukewarm Wednesday. (Or would it be better if I

Amir eventually meets a girl named, Soraya. They eventually marry and Bada dies of lung cancer.

actually Amir's half brother and that he is died and Hassan's son in an orphanage and needs to be
rescued. Due to this Amir travels back home to his town in Afghanistan and searches for Hassan's
son, Sohrab. Amir finds out that the orphanage he was at sold him to the Taliban so Amir sets up a
meeting with the Taliban to hopefully retrieve Sohrab. As Amir is in the room awaiting the Taliban
Assef enters and tells Amir that they will fight to the death in order to get Sohrab. They begin to
fight and Amir is losing until Sohrab hits Assef with a ball shot from his slingshot. Amir and Sohrab
escape the town and Amir ends up in the hospital because of the severity of his injuries. Amir makes
a full recovery and discusses America with Sohrab and Sohrab loves the idea. However, in order to
get a visa, Sohrab must go back to an orphanage. This scares Sohrab and causes him to try and kill
