2. Micro-Tyco: Become an Entrepreneur
to Fund an Entrepreneur
Grow £1 seed capital into as much money as
possible in just four weeks.
Each team must have no more than 5
members.
http://www.wildheartsinaction.org/microtyco/faqs.html
Teams must provide a clear
evidence trail of how they
grew their pound to their
total. At the least this should
be a written list of activities
with the running total listed
alongside it.
Each week teams running totals must be
emailed to info@wildheartsinaction.org.
There is only one
rule: transactions
must be legal. The
rest is up to you!
3. WildHearts invest the funds raised
in microfinance projects around the
developing world, providing people with the
chance to work their own way out of poverty
sustainably and with dignity. Every month
after the challenge participants will receive
case studies on what their money has
achieved.
During the challenge participants are
encouraged to use their inner resources -
skills, creativity, imagination, experience,
contacts - to grow their pound.
The money created from Micro-Tyco will then
be invested by WildHearts in micro-loans to
help the world’s poorest people work their own
way out of poverty.
4. Who are WildHearts?
WildHearts is a unique charity
(SC037072) that aims to tackle
economic injustice. In the
developing world this takes the
form of funding micro-loans
and business training for people
in 37 countries across Africa,
Asia and Latin America to help
them work their own way out
of poverty with dignity. What happens after teams send in their application
forms?
You will be given access to the Micro Tyco.com
website. Your team will be able to ask
questions, interact in forums, blog, ‘meet’ other
Micro-Tycos.
WildHearts will send you a certificate you can
print, confirming that you are part of Micro-Tyco and
raising funds for WildHearts.
