To have someone that you love with all of your being but does not return those affections at the same level can be tortuous. When left with these
feelings Gaspara Stampa chose to write, hiding her subtle critiques of her lover to only the trained eye. In the poem "4" Stampa imagines her
beloved's birth and how he gifted with all of the greatest qualities in the world, yet he is still not a perfect lover. This is done through word choice,
cataloging, anthropizing, and word placement. Through these techniques Stampa is able to subtlety criticizing if her beloved actually uses the
qualities that she claims he possesses. At the beginning of the poem she tells how he was given a plentiful number of gifts from the heavens above.
Stampa describes that after his birth "All the stars in the sky and all the planets / gave him their graces, and their varied gifts" (lines 2–3). All of these
gifts would give the child potential to be godlike in his later years of life. After receiving these gifts Stampa states that he was given these things
"So he alone among us should be perfect" (4). By using the word "should" instead of a more definite word like "would" the beloved is already
shown to be less than the perfection he was expected to be. As a child, her beloved was guaranteed to be the perfect man but he has squandered his
heavenly gifts. Here Stampa shows the full potential of her lover but still shows that he is not quite living up to it. If the beloved were to act as

Sci–fi Paper Synopsis: It is the distant future, and the human race knows pretty much everything there is to know about Saturn's 6th moon, Titan. The
Huygens probe was the first man made object to pierce the thick atmosphere of Titan, landing on the surface in 2005. From this mission, some light
was shed upon the mysterious body of Titan, and it was found to be an "alien Earth", with lakes and seas and even active meteorology and surface
processes (O'Connor, 2015). At first, it was thought that life would not have been able to live in the extreme cold temperatures of Titan, but as time
went on and humans evolved, our understanding of life and its infinite possibilities grew too. Now, there are camps on Titan devoted to creating a new
form of life– a new humanoid species. If this were to come to fruition, would the new creations serve us, be our equal, or think of themselves as our
superiors? Will big corporations gain control over all the possibilities that come with the creation of life? Where is the line of how much humans can

Solar System. We got to physically interact by demonstrating and constructing a model of ourSolar System by using a simple tool such as toilet paper.
Who knew? We used the toilet paper shown in the pictures as a visual representation to illustrate the overall scale of the Solar System, to show the
distance between each individual planet, and to represent the distances of each planet from the Sun. We physically counted out each piece or sheet of
toilet paper to reach the destination of which the next or neighboring planet was from its neighboring planet. We started with the Sun, then Mercury,
Venus, Earth,Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, until we finally reached our final planet, Neptune. We drew dots to represent each planet. In our lab
activity, we created and demonstrated a relative scale model to show how the planets are aligned and the distance between each of them. We created
this model, so that we could better understand the overall sizes of each planet and the distances of each of the planets from the Sun. First, we used the
model distance formula, which is model distance=0.25 inches/1,391,900 km * actual distance in km. We used this formula to calculate the distance in

This is done through word choice, cataloging, anthropizing, and word placement. Through these techniques Stampa is able to subtlety criticizing if her beloved actually uses the qualities that she claims he possesses. At the beginning of the poem she tells how he was given a plentiful number of gifts from the heavens above. Stampa describes that after his birth "All the stars in the sky and all the planets / gave him their graces, and their varied gifts" (lines 2–3). All of these gifts would give the child potential to be godlike in his later years of life. After receiving these gifts Stampa states that he was given these things "So he alone among us should be perfect" (4). By using the word "should" instead of a more definite word like "would" the beloved is already shown to be less than the perfection he was expected to be. As a child, her beloved was guaranteed to be the perfect man but he has squandered his heavenly gifts.
