The residential part of this small community lies on alternative roads and goes about its daily life separated by
city blocks from the busyness of the tourist areas.
With such a tourist focus, the town is planned to accommodate the industry. Parking runs along the primary
road in addition to side streets allowing travelers the ability to park their vehicles, campers, or even buses and

It was February sixteenth, I was in sixth grade and I had gotten a flyer for the annual school ski trip. More
excited than ever I took it home and put it on the fridge so my mom and dad would see it when they got home

Ever since I can just about remember i have been skiing. It started off at a ski resort by the city I grew up in,
they were just little hills and they only took a minute to get down. But that's where it all started those little
hills. My friends and I would go there almost every weekend during the winter to go off the jumps and race
down the slopes. As much as I loved going down those hills they will never compare to the mountains of
colorado. I was about 15 years old when we first went to colorado on my first skiing trip and i have to say i
was really excited about it. Not only that, but my friends were coming along so that made it way better. There
were gonna be 15 of us in total, 3 being my close friends Jared, Luke, and Connor. The others of the group

The ride is over too soon and after a short walk past the Pine Marten Lodge, which is the only sign of
civilization, the clean brisk air hits and you are left staring at a golf hole that initially gives you pause––a
