2. The killer
The killer in my film opening is wearing all black and is also hiding their face,
also they are wearing Timberland trainers which mean we at this point are
unable to identity the sex of the killer. This keeps the audience interested as
they would want to know who the killer is and also waring all black and
covering your face is seemed as not normal within teenagers.
3. Teenagers
Teenagers are stereotyped to go around in groups; girls are stereotyped to be in a
group wearing similar or even same clothes and are expected to have the same
interests as each other. Boys are expected to also be in a group but maybe not as
much of a big group as girls and they are expected to wear similar clothes but
not the same. The victim in my film opening stereotypes a typical teenage girl as
she has her hair up, wearing make up and clothes that teenage girls are wearing
lately that’s within the trend.
4. Costumes
Victim
- Victim is wearing a stereotypical teenage outfit such as light clothing, hair up
and wearing make up to show her interest in being girly and also showing her
interest in following the latest trend.
Killer
- Killer is dressed in all black and covering their face, this already is seemed as
weird and not normal to the stereotypical teenager and those teenagers that are
dressed in dark colours are pushed out of big social groups therefor the killer in
my film opening intrigues the audience to find out more about them.
5. How did I address my audience?
My film opening addresses my target audience as y target audience are
teenagers and by having characters that are a similar age to them, they will
be able to understand and relate to them. As they will be able to understand
some points of views from the characters, the audience will want to watch
the film till the end as they would want to know who the killer is as their face
is covered.
