2. I would not use this style of clothing in my ‘British Social
Realism’ film opening, because;
This style is typical for a middle class woman would wear
and my characters would be teenagers (17-19).
Not suitable for possible scenes that would be in my film
opening.
3. Both of these outfits would be suitable;
They both fit in with the genre ‘British social realism
Tracksuits are a stereotype link towards teenagers and
young people.
Estates, blocks of flats and council housed people are
also stereotypically linked to tracksuits and cheap
clothing.
4. The female character will be stereotypically ‘common’, living in a council
flat, as a group we have chosen to follow these stereotypes to make an
effective film opening.
Tracksuits are most likely to be used, if we, as a group go with the running
scenes to open our film.
