3. DISCOVERY EDUCATION!
I chose to follow Discovery
Education because it provides
me with excellent resources that
is from a global program that
gathers information from around
the world.
They also provide educators with
a variety of chats and Q & A’s
that are helpful for teachers.
I did not participate in the chat
as I did not feel comfortable with
tweeting in this format yet, once
in the classroom I think I will
participate more readily in the
online conversations.
4. EDUTOPIA!
This organization is great for providing followers with
teaching resources and providing conversations with
educators. They provide resources that work in classrooms
and are all about getting students engaged in learning. I
really enjoyed reading their posts and links to resources.

ED TECH K-12 MAGAZINE!
As a future teacher nothing is better then technology
resources at your fingertips Ed Tech is a great organization
to follow as a future Elementary teacher because they
discuss appropriate us of technology for the classroom
from K-12.I have looked at a number of their resources and
learned a great deal from them. When I become a teacher
in the classroom I can see the value of the #edtech chats
and discussions online. As of right now I enjoy seeing the
resources and thinking about how to use them in the
classroom but am not ready yet to contribute to the online
chat forum.
6. CONTRIBUTIONS
In terms of my contribution to my PLN I have used a
number of sources apart from Twitter. I have sent out
information from EDU 210 on my Google+ account,
as well as taught peers that are not in EDU 210
about Edmodo, educlipper and Blendspace and how
we can connect and share lesson plans.
After developing a PLN in Module 2 I had a difficult
time keeping up with all the information. I did find the
resources to be helpful though and I think once I am
in the classroom I will be more adept to finding
resources because I know what I will be looking for
or more capable of seeing how the resources are
used in the classroom.
7. Professional Development
in Other Ways
I believe with time I will become used to
Twitter although I may be more inclined to
use Edmodo as I found the information
posed was less overwhelming and more
practical for myself. I also love using
Pinterest as a PLN, many of my friends are
in education and are constantly pinning
great classroom resources and ideas in an
organized way. This makes it easy to find
the resources I am looking for.
8. FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall this class has helped me to
become more confident with using
technology.
I am excited to begin integrating more
elements of technology into my
classroom and continue keeping up with
the multitude of technology teaching
resources and my PLN!
