 The genre of this band is mainly rock/ rock pop.
 When you watch the video you expect to see a lot of close ups of
the band playing and singing, as well as some narrative in the
video.
 When listening to the music, a lot of guitar and drums are to be
expected, following the rock genre.

3. Relationship between lyrics and
visuals
 The video has been lip-synced to the song, when the video focuses
on the band playing.
 In the video we see people holding up cards showing the viewer
some of their darkest secrets, making a direct link between the
lyrics and music video.
 The band has also been put into a dark room with dark clothes on
to symbolize the lyrics being sung.

4. Relationship[ between music
and visuals
 In the music video we see exactly what is thought of for a rock
band, for example; dark clothing, dark lighting, high energy through
body language and also close up of the instruments as well.

5. Close-ups of artist / star motifs
 We see a lot of close-ups of the main singer in the band because
he is the one who links the lyrics with the video. We don’t see many
recurring images apart from people holding up cards with their
secrets on, which is alternating between the band playing.

6. Voyeurism
 There seems to be no sense of Voyeurism in any part of this music
video.
 I think that the target audience for this band, has no real interest in
objectified women, as a lot of the fans of this band are female
themselves.
 Also the narrative behind the lyrics are about close- personal
secrets, rather than objectifying women.

based?
 The video is performance based and also concept based, with people telling
their individual stories through a montage based format.
