2. Our lead female- Emma.
Emma is the main female within our trailer. The main storyline
is that Emma is in a relationship with James (our leading male)
but after a job officer in America she decided to leave to
follow her career instead of stay with James who works in
England. The trailer follows how she is starting in her new
career and fitting in to a calmer lifestyle than the one she
experienced with James. She reflects on how life was like in
England and how it now is in America. Emma is a loyal
character who was faithful to James but made a sacrifice for
herself and her future. She is very stereotypical in terms of her
interest in fashion.
We chose Kirsty Lowe as our lead role. The reasons for this
include her appearance. Kirsty is attractive and strongly
connotes to the feminine image we are looking for. She is also
shorter than our lead male and together they appear well
suited. Kirsty also has a soft tone of voice which we plan to
use for our voiceover. She is honest and kind-hearted which
she had the ability to incorporate into her character therefore
making our main character more realistic and genuine.
3. Our lead male- James
James is our main male role within the trailer. James is in a
relationship with Emma and works in a high position in his
company. Both himself and Emma are extremely successful
in their careers. When Emma choices to move away, James
is distraught and finds it hard to fit back into his bachelor
lifestyle. James argues with Emma as she leaves as he feels
although she doesn’t love him enough to stay. James is seen
to get close to his co-worker and this leads to the audience
wondering whether he will move on from Emma and find
new love with his assistant.
We chose Jordan Tombling to play this role. Jordan visually
suits our character as he is masculine but also can appear
emotional for more distressing scenes. Jordan has a deeper
voice which enables the characters to be contrasted
against each other. He is also of the right age which suits our
demographics. Jordan and Kirsty work well together and
therefore during more intimate and emotional scenes will
have the ability to be professional and creates a relationship
between there characters.
4. Smaller roles (extras)
Extra will include the assistant in the
office, guests at parties as well as
work colleagues for Emma when she
is presenting in her office. Also the
male who is seen to pick up Emma’s
bag in the streets will be used as an
extra also he has no dialogue.
