2. Description
• The "Busgosu or Bugosu" is a divinity of the Asturian
forests, half man and half goat.
• Its most characteristic physical features are the
horns, which come out of its head, a very hairy torso
and ram's feet.
• His way of being is tinged with mocking nuances and is
something sappy, which is like another Asturian
mythological character called Diañu Burlón.

in a forest.
4. What does he do ?
• The busgosu is the lord of all the animals and trees of
the forest, while the defender of forests, protect
and control the flora and wildlife that inhabit them.
• It’s purpose is to mock, but it can also do harm to
anyone who wants to go against nature. He lives deep
in the forest and in caves.
• It’s harmless and helps people lost in the forest and
shows them the way back. It protects the hunted
animals.
