Almudena Cid was a famous Spanish rhythmic gymnast born in 1980 in Vitoria. She began gymnastics at age 7 and showed incredible talent, winning her first competition medals at age 13 in Cyprus. Over her career spanning 21 years, she competed in 4 Olympic Games and numerous international competitions, winning medals including gold at the Mediterranean Games, but never an Olympic medal. She retired from gymnastics and is now married to Christian Gálvez.

1. Almudena Cid was a very famous rhythmic gymnast. She was born
in Vitoria, on the 15th June 1980.
She started when she was 7 years old at school. Her coach called
Iratxe Aurrecoetxea said that she was incredible and she knew that
she was going to be a great gymnast.
Her first competition was when she was 13 years old and it was in
Chipre.
She won two bronze medals (the first with ball and the second in
general).
She went to the Olympic Games four times and she was finalist all
the times, but she didn´t win.
After 21 years of work, she left the sport-world.
Nowadays, she is married with Christian Gálvez.
