Sandra Cash
January 13, 2011
ENG1105 Composition I
The Hunger Games Trilogy
Words 200
When deciding which book is my favorite, a problem arose. There is a trilogy by Susan Collins called The Hunger Games that is so unique, it's difficult to pick just one and to explain why without explaining the whole series. Why is that? The world that Mrs. Collins created is so unique, so different from books out there that you cannot simply say, my favorite book is about Katniss who becomes a hero. I love how Mrs. Collins creates this world that you get sucked into, and how you feel as if you’re there by how she described the scenes like the arena where they are to fight to the death. You can easily identify with the main characters; how Gale hates the Capital for the Hunger Game. I loved how you watched the Katniss go through the Hunger Games twice and how she deals with her problem of Gale or Peeta. It has a bit of romance, which usually I don’t like, but because Mrs. Collins wove it in so elegantly I actually enjoyed it! My favorite thing about these books was it kept you wondering what would happen next and you really never knew what was going to happen.
