4. TYPES OF RPD
• INTERIM PROSTHESIS /STAY PLATE
• A Fixed or removable dental prosthesis or maxillofacial prosthesis
designed to enhance the esthetic stabilization or function for a limited
period of time , after which it is to be replaced by a more definitive
dental or maxillofacial prosthesis.

• TRANSITIONAL DENTURE
• A RPDP serving as an interim prosthesis to which the artificial teeth
will be added as natural teeth are lost &that will be replaced after post
extraction tissue changes have occurred. A trnsitional denture can
