Phase-II (NPIWC-II) was approved by ECNEC on 29th August 2019
• Capital cost of the project is Rs. 154.542 Billion
• Administrative Approval issued on 1st October 2019

• Major activities includes
o Social Mobilization through capacity building of Water User
Associations (WUAs)/FOs
o Improvement of Watercourse (Punjab – Total 10,000)

Develop a website containing information on facilities and services, applications,
procedures, watercourses, water storage tanks and laser Levelers database, etc.
(while the project staff will maintain the website).
Provide technical support for the development of a custom-designed mobile
application (Android Based) to capture on-site project progress and geo-tagged
photos. It should be synchronized with the central MIS/GIS database and application
for instant reporting and feedback to the management. The said requirement is
based on the following functional features:
Development of a GIS database with all spatial layers related to activities being
undertaken under the project
Carry out the impact evaluation of the project intervention on the economy and
stakeholders through baseline and end-line, assessing the water saving per annum on
watercourses, water storage tanks and field levels and improvement in water
availability due to the provision of improved conveyance system.
Economic impact of project interventions.
Assessing the economic benefits to the agriculture in terms of changes in yields,
irrigated area, cropping pattern, cropping intensity, farm income and employment in
command area of watercourses and water storage tanks.
