1. FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT (11-3-2018)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. During the season of Lent, Stations of the Cross is being held on Friday at 6.30 in Konkani and
Saturday at 6.30 in English.
2. Konkani Lenten Mission will be held today and tomorrow preached by SVD fathers Fr Francis and
team. Today after the Mass there will be preaching and healing service. Tomorrow, Sunday Konkani
mass will be held at 5.30 as usual followed by preaching and healing service.
3. The Made in Heaven get-together for eligibles will be held today/tomorrow
4. The March month eco kids meeting will be held today/tomorrow in your areas. This is the last official
monthly meeting for eco kids for this academic year. This meeting can be held in the form of a get-
together.
5. The Lenten confessions will be held on coming Friday and Saturday in the evening from 5 to 8.30 with
a break during the mass. For rest of the Holy week schedule visit EVENT section of our church
website.
6. Bible quest 30 will be held in the Bible study articles part 3 on coming Sunday, 18th March. PPC
members enlist your nos online with Fr Felix.
7. Sunday school needs new Catechists to teach faith for Sunday school children for coming academic
year. Interested parishioners please give your name to any of the parish fathers or Jacintha, Sunday
school coordinator.
8. Coming Sunday, March 18 will be the last day for Sunday school. The First Holy Communion classes
will continue till further announcement.
9. There will be a Catechists’ meeting on coming Sunday, March 18th after the Sunday school. The new
Catechists are also invited for this meeting.
10. The Family Cell of our parish is organizing a Biker's pilgrimage to Uttan on coming Sunday 18th March.
The pilgrims will leave on bikes from Infant Jesus Church at 5.30 am for prayers and mass at 7.00
am at the Shrine. Kindly enlist with the Family Cell members before 16th March. Those who have
enlisted for the pilgrimage will have a short briefing at 8pm on Saturday 17th March.
11. Bishop Barthol Barretto, Bishop in-charge of SCC has sent the schedule of Skills for Animators, a
training programme for SCC animators scheduled to be held in coming April. Each SCC to enlist one
animator for this session. The charges Rs 1,600/- will be sponsored by the parish. Please enlist online
with Fr Felix.
12. The Cloth bags stitched by the Suraksha Mahila Mandals run by Sisters of Helpers of Mary are
available for sale in the stall outside at subsidised rates. Patronize this eco-friendly project of Suraksha
CCO.
13. As some of the school ceiling fans are replaced with new ones, the surplus second hand fans are
available for sale. These full size second hand fans in good running condition are available at a small
price of Rs 250/- per fan. Contact Oswald or church office.
14. Last Sunday collections amounted to Rs . Thank you for your generosity.
15. (9.30 am mass) Today’s liturgy is animated by SCC 16. Coming Sunday liturgy will be animated by
SCC 17.
