12. 1. 200 pairs of 20 grams red tilapia are screened 6 weeks after fed with
1000 cfu/ml Streptococcus iniae.
“The symptomless seedlings (T1) are resistant and the symptoms
seedlings (T2) are inresistant . Twelve pairs are chosen from both of
them and each is sex separated into two different tank. Then, twelve
pairs additional red tilapia are added as control.”
2. After 4 months fish will be mated 4 pairs in each replication.
3. Fifty offspring (5 grams) in each replication are fed with 1000 cfu/ml
Streptococcus iniae.
4. Analysis of 50 micro-satellites markers in 48 (24 pairs) and 60
seedlings (30 in each treatment).
5. Correlation analysis between phenotypes and SSR.
Types of SSR markers linked tightly to the resistant phenotype will be
identified by GenAlEx 6.41
