Clydesdale Bank was established in 1838 in Glasgow and has a proud
history of innovation and support for Scottish industry and communities
as well as a growing presence in London and the South of England.
Yorkshire Bank, which has a strong personal customer base and a
growing business capability in the North of England and the Midlands,
was founded in 1859 in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
With a combined network of 337 retail branches and 73 Financial
Solutions Centres, both Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks are members of
National Australia Bank Group.

Financial performance
• Underlying profits up 4% to £533 million
• Pre-tax cash earnings up 45% to £237 million
• Retail deposits and longer term wholesale funding cover 94% of lending; Retail Cover Ratio 70% .
Customer support
• £7.5 billion of new business and mortgage lending in the past 12 months
• £12.2 billion of new lending advanced in the past two years – well ahead of the £10 billion two year pledge made in
October 2009
• Average gross loans and acceptances stable at £33 billion
• Average retail deposit volumes up £200 million to £23.3 billion.
