• You will be beginning your interactive film planning:
• You will be divided into small groups
• You will be given a theme
• You will come up with 3 ideas based on that theme for an
‘choose your own adventure’ interactive film
• You will decide which of your ideas to develop

4. BY THE END OF THE LESSON, YOU
• MUST create 3 different concepts for an interactive
film
• SHOULD develop 1 idea into a simple narrative
structure
• COULD apply your planning & pre-production skills
to begin scripting your interactive film.

• How can we explain a stories concept in its simplest

• What are plot points?

20. TASK 1
Working in small groups of no more than 3 people, come up
with 3 creative concepts for an interactive film that meets the
theme.

21. TASK 2 - FEEDBACK
• Pitch your 3 concepts to the group.
• What do we like about them? What do we
dislike?
• How do they meet the brief?

22. TASK 3 – ONE IDEA TO RULE THEM ALL
In your groups pick 1 idea and develop it into a
narrative, thinking about your stories plot points and
what different storylines will branch off these.

23. TASK 4 - PLANNING
Begin drafting out a narrative plan of what will
happen in each scene.

24. NEXT STEPS
Next week you will be using a program called TWINE
to write out your film idea as an interactive, playable
story.
