This study examines the corrosion inhibition of urea fertilizer formulations containing Sn+2 or Zn+2 ions on reinforced steel in simulated concrete pore solution containing sodium chloride. Potentiodynamic polarization, surface synergism parameter, and cyclic voltammetry methods were used. The results show that a formulation of 300 ppm urea + 50 ppm Sn+2 provided 85.93% inhibition efficiency, outperforming 300 ppm urea + 50 ppm Zn+2 which achieved 82.3% efficiency. Cyclic voltammetry indicated the Sn+2 formulation reduced pitting corrosion tendency.
