Introduction
ENC 3250 has taught me many things this semester
My knowledge has grown in large amounts about the various
methods and standards that are used in professional writing.
Alike the first half of the course, the second half has also taught
me many new lessons and techniques that I will be able to use
once in my career.
These techniques and lessons also correlate to the
assignments that we have worked on such as the WA3 and the
WA4.

What I have learned
Purpose is always needed in every piece of writing.
You need a clear and concise purpose where you state the
exact opportunity or problem so you can try and receive the
best possible outcome.
4. +
What I have learned
Project management is also a skill that needs to be learned to
be successful
Time management is an interval part of being professional.
You have to learn how to work under pressure or deadlines and
still produce high quality work.

What I have learned
Analyzing you audience is also an interval part of writing
professionally.
Knowing your audience can help you cater to their needs.
You always have to keep your audience in mind when writing
professionally.
6. +
How did I learn it.
What helped me learn about how important purpose in writing
was the WA3 newsletter.
The newsletter forced me to realize that the assignment was to
show that purpose is needed to write a well composed piece of
writing.
When others read a newsletter they are reading to find your
purpose in writing it.

How did I learn it
I learned about project management through the WA4 proposal
project.
It was a large assignment that needed to be split up into
manageable pieces so that it would not be overwhelming.
Once I split the work up it helped me accomplish the work
faster than if I tried to do it all in one sitting.

How did I learn it
Analyzing your audience before you start writing will help the
overall success of your writing.
You have to write to please the audience and the audience
always needs to be kept in mind.
Both the WA3 and WA4 helped me learn that the audience is
very important.
Both of those assignments were written to be persuasive and if
the audience wasn’t kept in mind, people would not have
responded well to the newsletter and proposal.
9. +
Why does this learning matter?
This learning matters because I want to be able to successfully
write professionally.
Bringing together all these concepts you will have the ability to
write for your audience, with a purpose.
As long as you manage your time and your work, your work will
be successful.

How I will use this in the future
In the future, no matter what career field I decide to join, the
things I have learned will follow me there.
Writing will always be used and you need to be able to get your
message across to your audience.
I will also have a lot of big projects where I will need to manage
my time and from the WA4 assignment I have learned how to
manage my time effectively.
Lastly, purpose is very important because you will always have
one and in the future I will need to display my purpose through
my writing.
