The future of insurance consulting: How
virtual reality is revolutionizing the customer
experience
What will insurance consulting look like in the future?
This question is the ERGO Innovation Lab addressing – testing
new technical approaches and solutions.
Since 2018, ERGO has explored VR applications and the
metaverse to enhance the experience of customers and
employees.
After successful pilots, we rolled out virtual meeting spaces and
training applications within the ERGO Academy.
Based on positive results, we expanded our focus to customer
applications: with a stand-alone app for VR based insurance
consulting.

What we built
The ERGO VR Experience App is a virtual reality application for
insurance consulting – built in collaboration with Demodern – Creative
Technologies.
Using the app, customers can talk to insurance agents in an
immersive 3D environment, which allows for a more personalized and
interactive sales consultation.
One of the most important features of the app is the ability for both the
insurance advisor, as well as our customers to immerse themselves in
a fully virtual environment.

Interactive elements enable the insurance

The virtual environments include resources and tools to help the advisor
explain the different types of insurances and their benefits – including
interactive graphics and statistics.
